The poem embodies the speaker’s fractured relationship with their own reflection, confronting internalized shame and the pressure to disappear into culturally sanctioned silhouettes. Through metaphors and imagery the poem invokes the goddess not as a marble icon, but as a living, sensuous archetype whose form challenges narrow norms. Yet the knowledge of this divine lineage remains painfully distant. Between reverence and vulnerability, the speaker questions why belief in beauty remains foreign, even when its existence is carved in their very skin

The Impact of Piezocision on the Rate of Orthodontic Tooth Movement
Full text linkAIM: To assess the efficacy of piezocision in increasing the rate of orthodontic tooth movement compared with conventional orthodontic methods.
METHODS: PubMed and ScienceDirect were searched to April 2024 for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and controlled clinical trials (CCTs) evaluating piezocision adjunctive to orthodontic treatment; a manual search was also performed. Included studies reporting clinical outcomes of tooth movement were analysed.
RESULTS: Seventeen publications met the inclusion criteria: four CCTs and thirteen RCTs, comprising 550 participants. Investigated movements included lower anterior alignment, en masse retraction, canine distalisation, overall orthodontic treatment and second molar mesialisation. Across studies ages ranged from 13 to 38 years (mean 20 years). Observation periods varied from 4 to 24 months (mean 4–6 months). Higher rates for all tooth movements were found for piezocision versus conventional treatment. The accelerating effect was most pronounced in the first month and, in some studies, at three months, but the effect was not consistently maintained over longer follow-up and generally diminished with time. The intervention was safe for periodontal tissues and teeth. Effective pain relief for piezocision was generally achieved with a single dose of paracetamol.
CONCLUSION: Piezocision corticotomy accelerates orthodontic tooth movement in the early phase. Different piezocision techniques produced variable outcomes, but the number of incisions did not correlate with the rate of tooth movement

Full text linkDer Beitrag entfaltet eine tiefentheologische Phänomenologie des Religiösen als eines Gewahrwerdens transzendenter Präsenz. Im Anschluss an die Neue Phänomenologie von Hermann Schmitz wird religiöses Erleben in seinem Ursprung als Widerfahrnis verstanden, in dem Leiblichkeit und Bewusstsein miteinander in Berührung kommen. Am Gleichnis vom barmherzigen Samariter wird solches Berührt- und Betroffensein veranschaulicht als eine Haltung der Compassion. Tiefentheologie beschreibt Haltungen dieser Art als Präsenzphänomene des Transzendenten. C. G. Jungs Konzept der Individuation liefert dazu einen entsprechenden Bezugsrahmen: Prozesse der Selbst-Gewahrwerdung geschehen im Spannungsfeld von Bewusstem und Unbewusstem als Umgang mit dem, was ruft und sich zugleich entzieht. In praktischer Konsequenz zielt Tiefentheologie auf eine literarische Tiefenhermeneutik (Alfred Lorenzer), deren präsentative Sprache Resonanzräume eröffnet, in denen Unsagbares wie Verdrängtes Gestalt gewinnen können.
The article develops a depth-theological phenomenology of religion as an awareness of transcendent presence. In dialogue with Hermann Schmitz’s New Phenomenology, religious experience is conceived in its origin as “Widerfahrnis”, where felt embodiment and consciousness touch. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, embodied affectedness becomes tangible as an attitude of compassion. Depth Theology describes such attitudes as phenomena of the transcendent. C. G. Jung’s concept of individuation offers an interpretive frame of reference in the process of self-awareness between the conscious and the unconscious — an encounter with what calls and, at the same time, withdraws. — In practical consequence, Depth Theology aims at a literary Depth Hermeneutics (Alfred Lorenzer), whose presentational language opens resonant spaces where the unsayable and the repressed can take form together
Das bleibende Erbe des Christentums: Spuren christlichen Antijudaismus‘ in postkolonialen Theorien
Full text linkDer Beitrag untersucht postkoloniale Theorien und Theologien aus einer antisemitismuskritischen Perspektive. Postkoloniale Ansätze bieten wichtige Werkzeuge zur Analyse (post-)kolonialer und rassistischer Machtverhältnisse, zeichnen jedoch eine tendenzielle Anfälligkeit nicht nur für Artikulationsformen des modernen Antisemitismus, sondern auch für christlich-antijüdische Motive. Unter dem Anspruch einer Politischen ‚Theologie nach Auschwitz‘ steht die christliche Theologie vor der Herausforderung, postkoloniale Anliegen aufzugreifen und zugleich eine Sensibilität für antisemitische Denkmuster zu entwickeln. Insbesondere die moderne Transformation christlich-antijüdischer Narrative gilt es dabei – gerade auch in der theologischen Rezeption postkolonialer Theorien – (selbst-)kritisch zu reflektieren.
This article examines postcolonial theories and theologies from a critical perspective on anti-Semitism. Postcolonial approaches offer important tools for analyzing (post-)colonial and racist power relations, but they also tend to be susceptible not only to forms of modern anti-Semitism, but also to Christian anti-Jewish motifs. In light of a political ‘theology after Auschwitz,’ Christian theology faces the challenge of engaging with postcolonial concerns while at the same time developing a sensitivity to anti- Semitic patterns of thought. In particular, the modern transformation of Christian anti-Jewish narratives must be reflected upon (self-)critically, also within the theological reception of postcolonial theories
