Nomenklatorische Handlungenhaemorhoidalis (Rudow, 1917) (Gelis), Lectotype described as Pezomachus haemorhoidalisruficeps (Rudow, 1914) (Gelis), comb. n. hitherto Pezomachus ruficepsobvia Ceballos, 1925 (Gelis (Thaumatotypidea)), syn. n. of Gedlis haemorrhoidalis (Rudow, 1917)gracilis Rudow, 1917 (Pezolochus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis ruficornis (Retzius, 1783)longicauda Rudow, 1914 (Pezolochus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis ruficornis (Retzius, 1783)albulae Rudow, 1917 (Pezomachus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis agilis (Fabricius, 1775)alpinus Rudow, 1917 (Pezomachus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis cursitans (Fabricius, 1775)aphidicola Rudow, 1917 (Pezomachus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis bicolor (Villers, 1789)aphidum Rudow, 1917 (Pezomachus), syn. n. of Gelis rufogaster Thunberg, 1827araneicola Rudow, 1914 (Pezomachus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Gelis rufogaster Thunberg, 1827araneicolus Rudow, 1917 (Pezomachus), Lectotype; syn. n. of Pezomachus ? Most of them are from the Western Palearctic Region, four taxa are Nearctic (Pezomachus caudatus, Pezomachus dimidiativentris, Pezomachus longipes, Pezomachus melanofthalmus). With the exception of three Nearctic species all taxa are revised here. The types of four species could not be found. One of these is interpreted after the original description, and the other three names are still nomina dubia. 18 names are preoccupied, and one name (Pezomachus monozonius) is possibly preoccupied. 57 lectotpyes are designated, and altogether 57 new synonyms are indicated. Only two names given by Rudow (Pezomachus haemorhoidalis, Pezomachus rificeps) are considered to be valid names for known species.

Nomenklatorische Handlungencanaliculatum (Ratzeburg, 1844) (Agrypon), Neotype described as Anomalon canaliculatumcapillosum Hartig, 1838 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Agrypon clandestinum (Gravenhorst, 1829)menyanthidis Boie, 1855 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Barylypta delictor (Thunberg, 1822)pyriforme Ratzeburg, 1852 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Erigorgus latro (Schrank, 1781)scabridum Boie, 1855 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Heteropelma megarthrum (Ratzeburg, 1848)segne Tosquinet, 1896 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Argypon batis (Ratzeburg, 1852)sphingum Ratzeburg, 1847 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Aphanistes klugii Hartig, 1838unicolor Ratzeburg, 1844 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Therion circumflexum (Linnaeus, 1758)xanthum Boie, 1855 (Anomalon), syn. n. of Erigorgus cerinops (Gravenhorst, 1829)stenostigma Thomson, 1892 (Anomalon (Agrypon)), syn. n. of Argypon batis (Ratzeburg, 1852)gliscens (Hartig, 1838) (Aphanistes), Lectotype described as Anomalon gliscenspicta Boie, 1836 (Gravenhorstia), Lectotypecalcator Wesmael, 1849 (Heteropelma), Lectotype, syn. n. of Heteropelma megarthrum (Ratzeburg, 1848)The Anomaloninae described by Boie, Hartig and Ratzeburg are revised. Because the most types are lost or not available the interpretation of the majority of species bases on original descriptions, host dates and own rearing experiences with Anomaloninae. Two lectotypes are designated and 10 new synonyms are indicated. For clarifying a confuse taxonomic and nomenclatoric situation it was necessary to select a neotype for Anomalon canaliculatum Ratzeburg, 1844. Experiments for estimating activity density of epigeal arthropods (Araneae; Carabidae; Staphylinidae) in winter wheat fields were carried out by pitfall trapping form 1986 to 1989 near Halle/Saale. Proportions of polyphagous predators, their activity density during the vegetation period and their dominance structure should be examined. Most interesting group were the ground beetles. During the investigations 5 to 7 species were eudominant and dominant. The ground beetle Poecilus cupreus (L.) renders in all years as eudominant species and has had without the year 1988 an activity dominance above 30 per cent. Investigations for population density were carried out in 1987 and 1988. Square-meter-method (removal trapping), capture-recapture-method and wet extraction were used. The square-meter-method delivers good results. The use of the methods should be choiced to their aim

Ecological and faunistical data are compiled for 149 tachinid flies (Diptera, Tachinidae) found in the environs of Magdeburg (Germany) between 1981 and 1992. Revision der von Reitter & Croissandeau im Jahr 1890 aus der Umgebung von Blumenau im Staate Santa Catarina in Südbrasilien beschriebenen Scydmaeniden (Coleoptera, Scydmaenidae).

    Get PDF
Nomenklatorische Handlungenarion Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypeclanculus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypeeques Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Ledctotypeexcedens Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypefugitor Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), syn. n. of Euconnus latipennis Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890hetschkoi Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypelepidus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypelothari Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypemicropterus Franz, 1993 (Euconnus), spec. n.pachyscelis Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepauper Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepseudoclaculus Franz, 1993 (Euconnus), spec. n.subcompressus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepermixtus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus (Pycnophus)), Lectotypevestitus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus (Pycnophus)), Lectotypeminimus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Microscydmus (Neoscydmus)), Lectotypepseudodilatatus Franz, 1993 (Scydmaenus), spec. n.saopauloi Franz, 1980 (Scydmaenus), syn. n. of Scydmaenus denticornis Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890Reitter and Croissandeau described so shorts 41 species of Scydmaendae, moustly collected by Hetschko in southern Brasil, that they can not be identify. This material is deposited now in the Deutschen Entomologisches Institut in Eberswalde (BRD) and was revised by me. The result of this revision is published in this paper. All together 36 species could be identified, Lectotypes where selected. The following exchanges of names must take place: - Scydmaenus saupauloi Franz (1980) is Synonym of Scydmaenus denticornis Reitter & Croiss. (1890), Euconnus fugitor Reitter and Croissandeau is a synonym of E. latipennis Reitter and Croissandeau. The original diagnoses of Euconnus permixtus and vestitus are mixt from the authors, so that they are not valuable. These species are described by Franz (1980) newly under the names nidicola Franz and globicollis Franz (1980) and these are the first valuable descriptions. From the typeseries of Euconnus ovipennis Reitter and Croissandeau only 1 represents this species. This specimen was selected as Lectotype, the other 4 specimens belong to Euconnus latipennis Reitter & Croiss. also two species are mixt. From the two specimens existing under this name one was selected from me as Lectotypus, the other represents a new species, I named pseudoclanculus. The collection contain also a new species named i.l. by the authors Euconnus micropterus, the description of this species is given.Nomenclatural Actsarion Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypeclanculus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypeeques Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Ledctotypeexcedens Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypefugitor Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), syn. n. of Euconnus latipennis Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890hetschkoi Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypelepidus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypelothari Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypemicropterus Franz, 1993 (Euconnus), spec. n.pachyscelis Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepauper Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepseudoclaculus Franz, 1993 (Euconnus), spec. n.subcompressus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus), Lectotypepermixtus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus (Pycnophus)), Lectotypevestitus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Euconnus (Pycnophus)), Lectotypeminimus Reitter & Croissandeau, 1890 (Microscydmus (Neoscydmus)), Lectotypepseudodilatatus Franz, 1993 (Scydmaenus), spec. n.saopauloi Franz, 1980 (Scydmaenus), syn. n. of Scydmaenus denticornis Reitter & Croissandeau, 189

StichwörterColeoptera, Scarabaeoidea, Melolonthidae, Dynastinae, Temnorhynchus Hope, Neotemnorrhynchus Janssens syn. nov., revision, phylogenetic analysis, theory of phylogenetic systematics, chorology, biogeography, ecological-adaptive relations, organismic relations.Nomenklatorische HandlungenNeotemnorrhynchus Janssens, 1949 (Melolonthidae), syn. n. of Temnorrhynchus Hope, 1837For the phylogenetic analysis of the afrotropical/east-mediterranean genus Temnorhynchus Hope, 1837 (Insecta: Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea: Melolonthidae: Dynastinae: Pentodontini) the ecological-adaptive and organismic relations of some structures of the head, especially the lamina epicranialis, the mouth parts, the pronotum, the legs, the alae, the aedoeagus, the surface sculpture and the colouration are discussed. The value of these definable characters for phylogenetic systematics is mostly poor. On this basis the phylogenetic system is not completely recognizable. The hypothetic phylogenetic system of Temnorhynchus is elaborated and shown in argumentation diagrams (cladograms). The genus consists of two monophyla, i.e. the subgenus Temnorrhynchodes Prell (six Madagascan species plus T. retusus and T. scutiger) and the subgenus Temnorhynchus s. str. (18 species), and of two species sedis incertae, i.e. T. grandicornis Fairmaire and T. cribratus Bates. The former genus Neotemnorrhynchus Janssens, 1949, is a junior synonym of Temnorhynchus Hope. The genus group (Dipelicus Hope + Lonchotus Arrow + Ampotis Dechambre & Madge) is postulated as the adelphotaxon (sister group) of Temnorhynchus. Besides morphology, the chorology, biogeography, autecology, and phenology of the taxa are studied. The Temnorhynchus species seem to prefer sandy soil with high grasses such as sugar cane. The morphology of the head and the legs shows typical adaptations to sand-burrowing habits. The record of the damage of T. coronatus (\u27sansibaricus\u27) to cocos palms is refuted.KeywordsColeoptera, Scarabaeoidea, Melolonthidae, Dynastinae, Temnorhynchus Hope, Neotemnorrhynchus Janssens syn. nov., revision, phylogenetic analysis, theory of phylogenetic systematics, chorology, biogeography, ecological-adaptive relations, organismic relations.Nomenclatural ActsNeotemnorrhynchus Janssens, 1949 (Melolonthidae), syn. n. of Temnorrhynchus Hope, 183

Oogenese und Symbiontenübertragung bei Sogatodes orizicola Muir. (Homoptera: Delphacidae).

Females of Sogatodes orizicola Muir. harbour yeast-like symbiotes (YLS), which are limited to syncytia of the fat body near the ovarioles. The ovarioles are of the meroistic-telotrophic type and need 2-3 days after hatching to produce the first ripe eggs. The infection of the symbiotes take place through the epithelial connection (epithelial plug) between the primary oocytes like in Laodelphax striatellus Fall., when the egg has reached a certain size (upto 0,03 mm). The symbiotes single penetrate into the epithel, which is loosed at this time, and enter the primary oocyte at the posterior pole. There they form a symbiote ball, which is growing larger until egg laying. It is enclosed by the chorion and guarantees the symbiont equipment of the next host generation

Karyotype and male internal Reproductive System of Aetalion reticulatum L. (Aetalionidae, Cicadelloidea, Cicadina): Phylogenetic Aspects.

    No full text
The first data on anatomy of male reproductive system and karyology of the family Aetalionidae, the most primitive one among the Cicadelloidea, have been obtained. Males of Aetalion reticulatum L. have 9 follicles in each of the paired testes, short accessory glands apparently fromed by twisted tubules, 2n=21, XO. - Tolania opponens Walk.? (a species of a primitive genus of an uncertain tyxonomical position) has been found to have 8 follicles and 2n=21, XO. Such a karyotype, earlier found in other primitive representatives of the Cicadelloidea is regarded as the initial one for the whole superfamily (Emeljanov, Kirillova, 1989). The last view is supperted by our data
