Get PDFÜber einen zwölfjährigen Zeitraum wurden Untersuchungen im Hochgebirge an Nadelhölzern durchgeführt, die durch Lawinen, Schnee beziehungsweise Sturm gebrochen wurden. Ursprünglich nur zur Ermittlung der dort vorkommenden Dipteren-Arten vorgesehen, dienten sie später der Klärung der Ursachen für das Ausbleiben von Vermehrung und Folgeerscheinungen des dortigen relativ hohen Borkenkäferbesatzes. Als entscheidendes Moment hierfür erwies sich die Vernichtung aller Stadien der Schädlinge durch die Larven von vier Dipteren-Arten. Lebensweise, Wirkungsgrad und Wert derselben als natürliche Feinde der Borkenkäfer zeigen im Abhängigkeitsverhältnis des Räubers zum Schädling Besonderheiten gegenüber dem üblichen Beziehungsgefüge, die im einzelnen dargelegt werden.Studies covering twelve years were made in high mountains at conifers broken by avalanches, snow or storms. It was their original purpose to determine the Diptera species occurring in these places, but they also served to discover the causes which explained the absence of a possible mass increase of the relatively dense bark-beetle population and its consequences. The decisive factor in this control was the destruction of all stages of the injurious insects by the larvae of four Diptera species. Their mode of life, their efficacy and their value as natural enemies of the bark-beetle show peculiarities in the dependence of the predator on the injurious insect which differ from the normal complex of relations. Get PDFEs wird ein Verzeichnis albanischer Fundorte vorgelegt, das alle bisher ermittelten Lokalitätsbezeichnungen, deren unterschiedliche Schreibweise und Benennung sowie Bemerkungen zur geographischen Lage enthält, insgesamt 650 Namen mit 640 Synonymen. Im Anhang werden diejenigen Lokalitäten aufgeführt, die von älteren Sammlern und Autoren zu Albanien gerechnet wurden, jetzt aber zu den jugoslawischen Volksrepubliken Montenegro und Serbien gehören. Weitere Informationen zur Benutzung des Verzeichnisses sind aus der Einleitung zu entnehmen.At the request cf many collaborators and readers of our series of publications, a list of an places connected with finds in Albania is presented. It includes the names of alllocalities occurring in the evaluation of the expedition or mentioned in the reports of earlier collecting trips. For about 650 places the following data, as far as they could be established, are given: 1) the various names and their different spellings; 2) geographical situation, height above sea·level and, where this occasion arises, references to maps already published in the first reports; 3) position in the squares of the general map given here. These data are to be found in the alphabetical list under the present official Albanian appellation or the name which the author according to his knowledge of affairs regards as probably correct or most frequently used; lack of suitable maps made it impossible to ascertain the present official names of all localities. In case of alternative names or spellings differing in any of the first three letters, reference is made to the official or more frequent form. With regard to the latter names, the definite form with the article-ending is preferred to the indefinite form, e.g. Thethi instead of Theth, Durresi instead of Durres or Tirana instead of Tirane. The indefinite form is not listed separately as a synonym. The appendix is a compilation of those localities in the adjacent parts of Yugoslavia which in earlier faunistic studies were included in Albania on account of formerly different frontiers or the extension of collecting trips across the borders, but do not now belong to the territory of the People\u27s Republic of Albania

No full textDie Gattung Saga Charpentier umfaßt nach der vom Verfasser vorgenommenen Superrevision drei Artengruppen mit 13 gut unterscheidbaren Arten und zwei Unterarten. Davon sind drei Arten für die Wissenschaft neu und zwei Arten wurden rehabilitiert. Weiter wurden drei in der Revision Rammes (1951) aufgeführte Spezies als Synonyma früher beschriebener Arten erkannt. Alle überprüfbaren Angaben, die das Männchen von S. pedo (Pallas) betreffen, erwiesen sich als Fehlbestimmungen; diese weitverbreitete Art ist daher nur im weiblichen Geschlecht bekannt. Tabellen zum Bestimmen der Saga-Männchen und Saga-Weibchen wurden neu ausgearbeitet. Three of these species are new and two species are rehabilitated. Three species recorded in the revision made by Ramme in 1951 are recognized as synonyms of previously described species. All reports of male of S. pedo (Pallas) that could be checked turned out to be mistaken identifications; only the female of this widely distributed species is known. New keys for the determination of Saga male and female are established.
