    THE ROLE OF QUR\u27ANIC EDUCATION CENTRE TEACHERS IN INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY AND CHILDREN\u27S CHARACTER EDUCATION

    This study was motivated by the importance of character education from an early age, particularly within non-formal educational institutions such as Qur\u27anic Education Centers (TPQ). TPQs play a strategic role in shaping children\u27s morals and character through religious value-based learning activities. The purpose of this research is to explore the role of TPQ teachers in shaping children\u27s character, examine the effectiveness of character-oriented learning activities, and analyse how the integration of educational technology supports the process. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach as proposed by John W. Creswell. The research subjects were the teachers at TPQ An-Nur Kajen. Data were collected through interviews and observation, and analysed using phenomenological steps including meaning-making, theme identification, and essence description. The findings reveal that TPQ teachers act as mentors, character builders, and collaborators with parents. Religious activities, group discussions, and educational games serve as effective tools in shaping children\u27s character. Moreover, the integration of educational technology such as visual media, Qur\u27an learning apps, and interactive digital games contributes significantly to enhancing children\u27s motivation and engagement. The study concludes that character education in TPQ will be more effective when implemented collaboratively and supported by relevant educational technology

    Secondary School Teachers’ Perspectives on Recent Curriculum Reform in South Sumatera: Resources and Demographic Influences

    Curriculum reform remains a central strategy for improving educational quality; however, its success largely depends on teachers’ perspectives and readiness to implement reform. This study investigates the perspectives of Indonesian secondary school teachers in South Sumatra regarding recent curriculum reforms, identifies the resources that influence these perspectives, and examines the role of demographic characteristics. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 342 secondary school teachers using a structured questionnaire. Analyses included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, independent samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc Tukey HSD tests, and multiple regression. The findings indicate that teachers hold moderately positive but cautious perspectives toward curriculum reform (M = 3.47). Teachers strongly acknowledge the necessity of curriculum reform, yet express reservations regarding implementation challenges and the adequacy of support and resources. Correlation and regression analyses reveal that adequate training, administrative support, and resource availability significantly and positively influence teachers’ perspectives, collectively explaining 52.3% of the variance. Demographic analyses show urban teachers report more positive perspectives than rural ones, while early-career teachers hold more favorable views than their more experienced counterparts. Overall, the results suggest that teachers are not resistant to curriculum reform; rather, their perspectives are shaped by the extent of institutional support, professional learning opportunities, and contextual conditions. The study highlights the need for sustained professional development, strong school leadership, and equitable resource distribution, particularly in rural schools, to ensure effective curriculum implementation

    Strategi Guru Akidah Akhlak dalam Membangun Karakter Mandiri Siswa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi guru Akidah Akhlak dalam membangun karakter mandiri siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Falah Kota Jambi, serta menggambarkan variasi kemandirian yang tampak selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-kontekstual. Partisipan berjumlah sembilan orang, terdiri atas dua guru Akidah Akhlak, satu kepala madrasah, dan enam siswa kelas XI–XII yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, kemudian diuji keabsahannya dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru mencakup pemahaman awal terhadap kondisi belajar siswa, penciptaan iklim kelas yang kondusif, bimbingan langsung ketika siswa mengalami kesulitan, pembiasaan tugas mandiri dan refleksi pribadi, pemberian ruang bertanya dan berpendapat, penguatan untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri, serta keteladanan disiplin dan kesiapan mengajar. Karakter mandiri siswa tampak bervariasi, terutama pada keterlibatan saat diskusi kelompok, konsistensi menyelesaikan tugas, dan keberanian menyampaikan pendapat. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya penguatan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif, pembagian peran kelompok yang jelas, serta pembiasaan refleksi yang berkelanjutan untuk memeratakan perkembangan kemandirian siswa

    Koalisi Partai Politik Dalam Mengusung Calon Tunggal Di Kabupaten Dharmasraya Tahun 2024

    Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pembentukan koalisi partai politik dalam mengusung calon tunggal di Pilkada Kabupaten Dharmasraya Tahun 2024. Koalisi partai politik pengusung calon tunggal yang terdiri dari 9 partai politik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pembentukan koalisi partai politik dalam pengusungan calon tunggal pada Pilkada Kabupaten Dharmasraya Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pembentukan koalisi partai politik menurut Arend Lijphart, yang terbagi ke dalam 5 jenis pembentukan koalisi partai politik yaitu Minimal Winning Coalitions, Minimum Size Coalitions, Bargaining Propositions, Minimal Range Coalitions dan Minimal Connected Winning Coalitions. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Koalisi partai politik dalam Pilkada Dharmasraya 2024 bersifat gemuk dan pragmatis, dibentuk untuk memastikan kemenangan calon tunggal, bukan untuk efesiensi kekuasaan. Kedua, proses pembentukan koalisi tidak melalui proses tawar menawar politik (bargaining), karena keputusan sepenuhnya ditentukan oleh DPP partai. Ketiga, kesamaan ideologi antar partai tidak menjadi dasar pembentukan koalisi, penyatuan lebih didorong oleh kepentingan strategis untuk memenangkan calon. Keempat, keterhubungan partai bersifat pragmatis dan personalistik, berfokus pada dukungan terhadap figur Annisa Suci sebagai simbol kesinambungan kekuasan lokal. Kelima, dominasi elit pusat melemahkan demokrasi lokal, menunjukkan bahwa politik daerah masih dikendalikan oleh struktur elit pusat.This study discusses about the formation of political party coalitions in supporting a single candidate in the 2024 Dharmasraya Regency Election. The political party coalition supporting the single candidate consists of nine political parties. The purpose of this study is to analyze the formation of political party coalitions in supporting a single candidate in the 2024 Dharmasraya Regency Election. This study uses Arend Lijphart\u27s theory of political party coalition formation, which is divided into five types of political party coalition formation, namely Minimal Winning Coalitions, Minimum Size Coalitions, Bargaining Propositions, Minimal Range Coalitions, and Minimal Connected Winning Coalitions. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results of this study show that: First, the political party coalition in the 2024 Dharmasraya Regional Election is large and pragmatic, formed to ensure the victory of the single candidate, not for the efficiency of power. Second, the coalition formation process did not go through a political bargaining process, as the decision was entirely determined by the party\u27s central leadership. Third, ideological similarities between parties were not the basis for coalition formation; unification was driven more by strategic interests to win the election. Fourth, party connections were pragmatic and personalistic, focusing on support for Annisa Suci as a symbol of local power continuity. Fifth, the dominance of the central elite weakened local democracy, indicating that regional politics was still controlled by the central elite structure

    The Sufi Path to Inner Healing: A Psychotherapeutic Perspective on Humanity in Islam explores the dimensions of inner healing within the Sufi tradition through an Islamic psychotherapeutic framework that emphasizes the integration of spiritual, emotional, and psychological aspects of the human being. This study is based on the Islamic understanding that humans consist of body, intellect, and soul, and that true well-being can only be achieved through purification of the heart (tazkiyat al-nafs) and closeness to God. In the modern context, this approach is increasingly relevant as an alternative to conventional psychotherapy, which often neglects individuals\u27 spiritual dimension. Using a qualitative method with textual analysis of classical Sufi works such as Ihya’ Ulum al-Din by Al-Ghazali, Masnavi by Jalaluddin Rumi, and contemporary texts on Islamic psychology, this research identifies three major stages in the Sufi path to inner healing: self-awareness (muraqabah), heart purification through remembrance (dhikr) and introspection (muhasabah), and spiritual transformation toward a tranquil state (nafs al-mutmainnah). This process functions not only as spiritual therapy but also incorporates principles found in modern psychotherapy, such as mindfulness, acceptance, and emotional balance. Thus, Sufism can be viewed as an integral therapeutic system that unites moral, spiritual, and psychological dimensions to achieve holistic mental health. The findings indicate that Sufi healing is not limited to personal well-being but extends to social and ethical dimensions, promoting empathy, compassion, and human responsibility as reflections of divine closeness. This article concludes that Sufism holds significant potential to be developed as a humanistic and transpersonal psychotherapeutic model within the Islamic context and contributes to a more holistic and spiritually grounded cross-cultural psychology

    Mental Health from Al-Ghazali\u27s Perspective

    Al-Ghazali defines mental health as a harmony between mental and physical functions characterised by a person\u27s ability to adapt to their environment. This theme is an important study because it reveals the concept of mental health from one of the Islamic figures, namely Al-Ghazali. The purpose of this study is to examine and explore the understanding related to mental psychology expressed by Al-Ghazali. The method used in this study is library research or literature study by utilising content analysis to identify patterns, themes or concepts contained in the content. The results of this study show several points, namely (1) The soul is defined by Al-Ghazali as a subtle and single spiritual substance that is not divided, or commonly called Al-Nafs. (2) Al-Ghazali categorises a healthy soul as one that can be characterised by a strong model of faith, freedom from heart disease, noble morals, good social relationships, and the achievement of happiness in this world and the hereafter. (3) Al-Ghazali also explains the efforts required to achieve peace and happiness in order to attain true mental health. These efforts can take the form of mujahadah or sincere efforts in the form of dhikr, worship and good deeds, riyadlah or spiritual training in the form of restraining lust and guarding the tongue, and also tazkiyatun nafs or purification of the soul which is divided into three stages, namely takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli

    THE EFFECT OF DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL ON STUDENTS\u27 MATHEMATICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS: META ANALYSIS

    One important aspect in improving students\u27 mathematical communication ability is the use of the right learning model, one of which is through the Discovery Learning (DL) model. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how much influence the DL model has on student performance. This study is important because it provides a thorough review of the effectiveness of the DL model based on findings from various previous studies. The method used is SLR with meta-analysis guidelines for ten articles, using Cohen\u27s formula to calculate the effect size value. The results showed one article in the medium category (0.47) and nine others in the very large category (1.046-7.27). This finding shows that Discovery Learning is effective in improving mathematical communication skills. This article contributes to strengthening the empirical foundation and provides recommendations for the application of this model in mathematics learning practices

    Determinasi Politik Terhadap Kinerja Reformasi Birokrasi di Kementerian Pertahanan: Kompetensi SDM, Tata Kelola, dan Desain Reformasi Kontekstual

    Latar Belakang: Reformasi Birokrasi merupakan program pemerintah untuk mewujudkan pemerintahan yang bersih, efektif, transparan, akuntabel, dan berorientasi pada pelayanan publik.  Namun demikian, capaian  Reformasi Birokrasi, Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE) dan Sistem Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah (SAKIP)di Kementerian pertahanan  saat ini (2025)  belum  mencapai 100 persen. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan capaian Indek reformasi Birokarasi, Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik, dan Sistem Akuntabilitas Kinerja Instansi Pemerintah di Kementerian Pertahanan RI. Metode: Penelittian ini  menggunakan  pendekatan kuantitatif  dengan analisis data menggunakan SEM PLS.4.  Hasil:  Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa Kompetensi Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) dan  kompotensi personel TNI  berpengaruh secara signifikan dan positif  terhadap reformasi Birokrasi di Kementerian Pertahanan  (T-statistics = 5886.822;  P-values = 0.000; dan F2 0,054). Grand Design reformasi Birokrasi berbasis kontektual berpengaruh secara signifikan dan positif  terhadap capaian  reformasi Birokrasi  di Kementerian Pertahanan yang optimal (T-statistics = 3.367;  P-values = 0.001, dan F2 = 0,010).  Reformasi Birokrasi Nasional tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap Grand Desain Reformasi Birokrasi  berbasis kontektual di kementerian  pertahanan karena sifatnya sebagai variabel mediasi  (T-statistics = 0.488;  P-values = 0.626; dan F2= 99.027,865). Kesimpulan: Pencapaian Reformasi Birokrasi,   (SPBE), dan   (SAKIP) di Kemhan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi Sumber daya Manusia. Grand Design Reformasi Birokrasi berbasis kontekstual perlu disusun secara khusus di Kemhan, karena karakteristik pelayanannya tidak berhubungan langsung dengan publik, namun   melalui  terciptanya  pertahanan dan keamanan negara. Peningkatan kinerja reformasi harus diarahkan pada penguatan kapasitas SDM dan penyesuaian standar reformasi birokrasi yang tetap berpedoman pada kebijakan reformasi birokrasi nasional.Background: Bureaucratic reform is a government program to realize a clean, effective, transparent, and accountable administration for public service. However, as of 2025, the achievement of the Bureaucratic Reform Index, the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE), and the Government Institution Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) in the Ministry of Defence has not yet reached the targeted standards. Objective: This study identifies obstacles to achieving the targets of the Bureaucratic Reform Index, SPBE, and SAKIP in the Ministry of Defence. Methods: This research employs a quantitative approach, with data analysed using Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 4). Results: The findings show that the competencies of Civil Servants (ASN) and military personnel exert a significant and positive effect on bureaucratic reform in the Ministry of Defence (T-statistics = 5886.822; p-value = 0.000; F² = 0.054). The contextual grand design of bureaucratic reform has a significant and positive influence on the achievement of bureaucratic reform outcomes (T-statistics = 3.367; p-value = 0.001; F² = 0.010). In contrast, the national bureaucratic reform framework does not display a significant positive effect on the contextual grand design in the Ministry of Defence, because it functions primarily as a mediating variable (T-statistics = 0.488; p-value = 0.626; F² = 99,027.865). Conclusion: The overall achievement of bureaucratic reform, SPBE, and SAKIP in the Ministry of Defence is determined by personnel competence. A contextual bureaucratic reform grand design must be formulated, and reform performance strengthened through human resource capacity enhancement aligned with national reform policies

    Peran Weak Ties Pada X Terhadap Partisipasi Protes Mahasiswa Di Indonesia

    Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana peran weak ties di media sosial X terhadap partisipasi protes mahasiswa di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan X serta weak ties dalam mendorong partisipasi protes secara daring maupun luring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik convenience sampling pada mahasiswa Generasi Z yang aktif menggunakan media sosial X. Peneliti mendapatkan total 126 responden melalui penyebaran kuesioner dengan Google Form menggunakan metode skala likert. Hasil pengukuran menunjukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.60) serta uji hipotesis melalui analisis jalur. Temuan utama memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan X tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap weak ties dan tidak secara langsung meningkatkan partisipasi protes. Sebaliknya, weak ties berpengaruh terhadap aksi protes, menekankan pada jaringan sosial lebih menentukan keterlibatan.This study examines the role of weak ties in social media X in influencing student protest participation in Indonesia. The research focuses on X usage and weak ties in driving both online and offline protest participation. The approach used is a quantitative method with convenience sampling techniques involving Gen Z students who are active users of social media. Data were collected from 126 respondents through disturbing questionnaires with google form using likert scale method. The result produced good validity and reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.60) and hypothesis testing through path analysis. The key finding reveals X usage has no significant effect on weak ties and does not directly increase protest behavior. Conversely, weak ties significantly influence protest behavior, highlighting the social networks role in engagement

    The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Guiding Students\u27 Islamic Communication Ethics in the Digital Era

    The development of technology has a very significant influence on the way students communicate which really requires the active role of teachers in directing interactions in accordance with Islamic values. PAI teachers have an important role in managing Islamic communication ethics in the digital world. This study aims to look at the role of PAI teachers in managing students\u27 Islamic communication in the digital era as well as the strategies used by PAI teachers in shaping Islamic communication ethics. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation carried out at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Jakarta. The results of the study show that PAI teachers function as good role models, spiritual guides, and facilitators in Islamic digital literacy learning. Teachers also apply learning strategies in the form of projects and religious reflections that are integrated with digital media to instill the values of politeness, responsibility, and civilized ways of communicating on social media. The main factor that supports the success of this program is the cooperation between teachers, principals, and parents in building a digital environment based on religion and education and showing that students are positive about the teacher\u27s efforts, which can be seen from the increased awareness of ethics and polite communication in the digital world. This research concludes that PAI learning combined with digital literacy has an important role in building Islamic communication ethics
