Multi criteria evaluation framework for prioritizing Indian railway stations using modified rough AHP-Mabac method
This study proposes a hybrid multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methodology for evaluating the performance of
the Indian railway stations (IRS). Since the customers are heterogeneous and their requirements are often imprecise, the evaluation
process is a critical step for prioritizing the IRS. To improve the existing approaches, an efficient evaluation technique has been
proposed by integrating rough numbers, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and multi-attribute border approximation area comparison
(MABAC) methods in rough environment. The relative criteria weights based on their preferences given by experts is determined by
rough AHP whereas evaluation of the alternatives based on these criteria are done by the modified rough MABAC method. A case
study of prioritizing different railway stations in India is provided to demonstrate the efficiency and applicability of the proposed
method. Among different criteria “proactively” is observed to be the most important criteria in our analysis, followed by ‘Railfanning’
and ‘DMO’ is found to be the best among the forty IRS in this study. Finally, a comparative analysis and validity testing of
the proposed method are elaborated and the methodology provides a standard to select IRS on the basis of different criteria

Assessment of different metals screw joint parameters by using multiple criteria analysis methods
: This study compares screw joints made of different materials, including screws of different
diameters. For that purpose, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 mm diameter steel screws and various parts made of
aluminum (Al), steel (Stl), bronze (Brz), cast iron (CI), copper (Cu) and brass (Br) are considered.
Multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods such as evaluation based on distance from
average solution (EDAS), simple additive weighting (SAW), technique for order of preference by
similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) and complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) are utilized
to assess reliability of screw joints also considering cost issues. The entropy, criterion impact loss
(CILOS) and integrated determination of objective criteria weights (IDOCRIW) methods are utilized
to assess weights of decision criteria and find the best design alternative. Numerical results confirm
the validity of the proposed approach
The effect of customer equity drivers on word-of-mouth behavior with mediating role of customer loyalty and purchase intention
The uncertain stand in terms of product and service quality invites customers to get the advantage of other customers’
experiences in order to make a purchase decision. It has been discussed that word-of-mouth (WOM) influences consumer
purchase behavior and it could create a robust tie like relatives and could also tie as close friends, acquaintances, and
strangers. This paper intends to define the concepts of WOM and customer equity and study the terminology of current
purchase intention, customer loyalty and correlates to consumer decision making. The data were collected utilizing selfadministrated
questionnaires. The results are obtained using Smart PLS 2.0, then using the bootstrap algorithm the tstatistics
are analyzed. The results indicate that customer equity drivers increase the customer loyalty and consequently
ends in WOM by the customers. Despite the literature which has investigated the influence of customer equity drivers on the
loyalty and purchase intention of the customers, this study contributes the analysis of drivers on WOM. Also, it reveals that
if a firm invests in the customer equity drivers, the result will be loyalty and accordingly, the easiest way of advertisement
that would be WOM. This study only focuses on a unique industry that can impact the generalizability of the contexts. Also,
it relates only to the positive WOM effects. Future studies could strengthen the literature by taking in negative WOM with a
broader population
A hybrid fuzzy BWM-COPRAS method for analyzing key factors of sustainable architecture
Sustainable development by emphasizing on satisfying the current needs of the general
public without threating their futures, alongside with taking the environment and future generations
under consideration, has become one of the prominent issues in different societies. Therefore,
identifying and prioritizing the key factors of sustainable architecture according to regional and
cultural features could be the first step in sustaining the architecture as a process and an outcome.
In this paper, the key indicators of the environmental sustainability in contemporary architecture of
Iran has been identified and prioritized. This study has been performed in three phases. First,
identifying key factors of environmental sustainability according to the experts’ point of view
and transforming the collected data to triangular fuzzy numbers. Subsequently, the best-worst
multi-criteria decision-making method (henceforth BWM) under grey system circumstances has
determined the weights and priority of the identified criteria. Eventually, identified key factors were
prioritized by the complex proportional assessment method (hereafter COPRAS) under the condition
of fuzzy sets. The results indicate that the key factors of creating engagement between buildings and
other urban systems has the highest priority in the built environment sustainability in contemporary
architecture and proving building management systems has the lowest
An evaluation system for university–industry partnership sustainability: enhancing options for entrepreneurial universities
The concept of university-industry partnership sustainability (UIPS) stands for
well-adjusted progress among key players from universities and industry by sustaining their welfare,
both in the present and in the future. This paper sought to develop an evaluation system for UIPS.
The need for such a system is justified at three levels: the micro level (i.e., research and innovation
performance, transfer and absorptive capability, and technology development), the meso level
(i.e., institutional arrangements, communication networks, and local and indigenous rules) and
the macro level (i.e., supply and demand, regulations, financing, taxes, culture, traditions, market,
climate, politics, demographics, and technology). The UIPS evaluation system developed in this
study offers the possibility of calculating a fair value of UIPS and providing recommendations for
improving university–industry (U–I) partnerships. This can be of great importance for entrepreneurial
universities that would like to strengthen their corporate links and/or reduce/reverse the “hollowing
effect” of globalisation in disadvantaged regions. Additionally, this paper also contains discussions
on the advantages, limitations, and managerial implications of this proposal

Measuring performance in transportation companies in developing countries: a novel rough ARAS model
The success of any business depends fundamentally on the possibility of balancing
(symmetry) needs and their satisfaction, that is, the ability to properly define a set of success indicators.
It is necessary to continuously monitor and measure the indicators that have the greatest impact on
the achievement of previously set goals. Regarding transportation companies, the rationalization
of transportation activities and processes plays an important role in ensuring business efficiency.
Therefore, in this paper, a model for evaluating performance indicators has been developed and
implemented in three different countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Libya and Serbia. The model
consists of five phases, of which the greatest contribution is the development of a novel rough
additive ratio assessment (ARAS) approach for evaluating measured performance indicators in
transportation companies. The evaluation was carried out in the territories of the aforementioned
countries in a total of nine companies that were evaluated on the basis of 20 performance indicators.
The results obtained were verified throughout a three-phase procedure of a sensitivity analysis. The
significance of the performance indicators was simulated throughout the formation of 10 scenarios
in the sensitivity analysis. In addition, the following approaches were applied: rough WASPAS
(weighted aggregated sum product assessment), rough SAW (simple additive weighting), rough
MABAC (multi-attributive border approximation area comparison) and rough EDAS (evaluation
based on distance from average solution), which showed high correlation of ranks by applying
Spearman’s correlation coefficient (SCC)
