Get PDFOne of the first arguments presented in the start of the book and extensively discussed latter on, is the impossibility of providing a generalization of human behaviour. The pattern of behaviour is central in the economic theory, as all phenomena are illustrated and modelled using this starting point. While actions and preferences can be rigorously modelled at microeconomic level, in most situations, when depicting the society as a whole, further conditions or hypothesis are required.The author sheds light on the improbable or even unrealistic character of such hypothesis, that fail to hold true when confronted with the real world market. From the notion of utility, initially laid down by Bentham, to the development of indifference curves and aggregate consumption patterns, expanding the theoretical work from an individual scope to a wider, community level, requires the adoption of less than logical assumptions such as that all participants have the same preferences and, if obtaining an increase in revenues, they would continue to express the same needs and expectations

Moreover, in Romania, relatively little is known about this phenomenon, especially due to the fact that the magnitude of flows of workers is insufficiently determined and structured. This leads to assuming a certain degree of caution when political and institutional implications and alternatives are discussed.To support the effective management of labour migration, this study will analyze migration policies considered barriers against mobility and structural characteristics of migration flows by using databases published by the Italian and Spanish authorities. The paper concludes with action guidelines to maximize the positive and minimize the negative effects of migration for Romania, and implicitly for Romanian citizens

The irrigation system in Brăila – a farmer economic focused approach

The present paper focuses on the specific elements of the irrigation systems from Brăila County, the way the farmers have access to and the different implications derived by using these systems. The paper turns to quantitative analysis of available statistical data and qualitative analysis of the interviews with local farmers focused on economic efficiency of the water used for irrigations.

An analysis of the crises’ cyclicity in the market economy
Get PDFThe social-economic phenomena and processes have a cyclical character, which falls within the natural development of the economic activity. Periodically, national economies or certain economic branches are affected by states of crisis, of unbalance, which disrupt the normal course of the economic activity and development. The occurrence of fluctuations in the economic field gives birth to economic cycles, defined as the time separating two economic or financial crises. Crises represent a deregulation, a sudden disorder of the economic balance, but they are necessary in the sense that they “are an indispensable sanction of management errors” and the problem is not the elimination of all crises, but only of those which “weigh heavily on the economic activity and are a systemic risk”. The main causes of an economic crisis are of a political, social or financial nature. Romania has been affected by the crisis at the commercial level, its exports being reduced and at the financial level, by the limitation of the access to external financing, reflected in the depreciation of the domestic currency. The analysis of the Balance of External Payments (BEP) in the period January-October 2011, shows that the deficit of current account of the BEP was of 4,097 million Euros, having fallen by 9.5% comparing to the same period of 2010, a situation explained by the reduction of the trade deficit by 12.7%.

Furthermore we have analyzed somerequirements mentioned in the Beneficiary Manual elaborated byAMPOSDRU and AMPODCA in relation to the audit for POSDRU andPODCA type projects. In the end, we have presented the conclusions andsuggestions we have come along as a result of our research
Unbalances on the education and innovation market – enhancement factor of the crisis in Romania. A liberal approach
Get PDFThe paper starts from the identification of imbalances on the education and innovation market in Romania. The implications of each of these imbalances on the amplification of the crisis are explained. Solutions are presented and estimates are made of resources to be allocated to restore that balance. The imbalance and economic growth issues and even demands of the knowledge economy aim to be addressed from a liberal point of view.The paper includes the following chapters: introduction, the position of education and innovation resources in the fight for development against the crisis, the shortage of places in kindergartens – serious problem in pre-school education, the lack of funding for research, projects possible for a real deficit. The position of education and innovation resources in the fight for development is presented in accordance with international accounting standards, the economic science and the present radical liberal current. The last chapter lists specific projects and “My city, city of innovation” and “Internet/TV platform for pre-university education” projects are being detailed. Statistical data which is available at public authorities is used and the information from blog debates is being valued.
