Get PDFAbstract: Islamic boarding schools are the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia and make important contributions in the socio-religious field. Islamic boarding schools as educational institutions are able to maintain and maintain their survival (survival system) and have multi-aspect education. Islamic boarding school education needs to be developed and adapted to what is set by "National Education" so that pesantren education graduates have a competitive and creative advantage in accordance with national and international education quality standards. As part of the community infrastructure, macro-boarding schools make the community aware of having idealism, intellectual abilities, and noble behavior (akhlaqul karimah) to organize and build a complete national characteristic. This can be seen from the strategic message of the pesantren which was developed in the internal culture of the pesantren education. The pesantren education system that has been maintained has turned out to have significant results in building an effective learning atmosphere and learning process. Being an obstacle to national education in rejecting changes in the era of technology and information requires the reconstruction of the national education system by looking at the needs of today's global society. Seeing the multiplicity of pesantren in people's lives, it cannot be denied that Islamic boarding schools have great potential to building a nation that is more moral, personable and knowledgeable. Get PDFAbstract: The metamorphosis of public organizations in response to internal and external demands is manifested in the form of reform, revitalization and the formation of government networks. The government is required to always adjust to the development of the environment. This adjustment is an effort to respond to the development of society and the global environment. External factors require public organizations to be more flexible in governance. This article wants to discuss the efforts of the Banyuwangi Regency government and the collaboration that was carried out in order to fix green open space in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. The approach used in writing this paper is a socio-legal approach that combines normative approaches with research results, assessment results, and other references and is reinforced by empirical research conducted through interviews and observations. This research found the existence of efforts by the city government to develop regulations related to the regulation of green open space as well as various collaborative efforts between government, civil society and the private sector in the implementation of the development of green open spaces in Banyuwangi Regency. The preparation of legal instruments and the establishment of government networks is actually part of the new public governance paradigm that seeks to optimize the roles of government and stake holders in the development of green open spaces. This study also found that the role of the community as a civil society was considered important in promoting democratic governance, the effectiveness of regulations that were oriented to the public interest.

This study aims to determine the role of character education in building the personality of students especially at Salem SMA I Salem. The method used in the study is qualitative. This type of research is field research, while the data collection technique uses interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that: a. The existence of school activities that functioned for the formation of student character, the role of character education can be found in organizations and in extracurricular activities organized by SMA N 1 Salem b. The relevance of character education in building the personality of students, character education is very necessary to maintain the quality of the personality of students by providing understanding, direction, and assistance so that students display a good personality.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pendidikan karakter dalam membangun kepribadian siswa khususnya di SMA Negeri 1 Salem. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif. Jenis penelitian field research, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : a. Adanya kegiatan sekolah yang difungsikan untuk pembentukan karakter siswa, peran pendidikan karakter dapat ditemukan di organisasi maupun di kegiatan-kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang diselenggarakan oleh SMA N 1 Salem b. Adanya relevansi pendidikan karakter dalam membangun kepribadian siswa, pendidikan karakter sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga kualitas kepribadian siswa dengan cara memberikan pemahaman, pengarahan, dan pendampingan agar siswa menampilkan kepribadian yang baik.
