The implication of this research is for the government to support MSMEs becauseMSMEs are able to open new jobs that can absorb labor and increase productivity so that thereis an increase in output

Tunggul Wulung dan Sadrach: Analisis Perbandingan Karya dan Cara Penginjilan bagi Masyarakat Jawa

Kyai Ibrahim Tunggul Wulung and Kyai Sadrach Suropranoto were two 19th-century indigenous Javanese evangelists often considered teacher and student. From Tunggul Wulung emerged the embryo of the GITJ (Evangelical Church in Java), and from Sadrach emerged the seeds of the GKJ (Javanese Christian Churches). Their extensive knowledge of Islam, Javanese knowledge, and Christianity enabled them to instill faith in their followers in Christ while respecting Javanese culture and the local context, which at the time was dominated by both Islam and Dutch-style Christianity. They adopted several Javanese cultural rituals and Islamic traditions, thus achieving acceptance by Javanese society, unwilling to lose their "Javaneseness," and also meeting with resistance from the Islamic community. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive analytical approach through a literature review to gain a clearer picture of the works of these two figures and their implications for Javanese society today. The research results indicate that some methods or approaches to evangelism can still be continued, while others must be abandoned due to specific considerations, particularly the significantly different context. The term evangelism in mainstream churches today has also been replaced by Kespel (Testimony and Service) because it is often understood narrowly as Christianizing those who are not Christians

This research explored the effectiveness of collaborative group work versus individual work in completing procedural text tasks using a picture series strategy among tenth-grade students of SMK Diponegoro Depok Yogyakarta. The study involved 22 students, each of whom completed two tasks in both group and individual settings. Before assigning the tasks, a questionnaire was distributed to collect data on students' work preferences and their understanding of procedural texts. The four tasks were administered in two separate sessions to avoid fatigue and ensure the quality of the work. Task results were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, supplemented by qualitative insights from interviews, to assess academic performance and student preferences. The findings indicate that students achieved higher average grades when working in groups (100 in grade 1 and 87.44 in grade 2) compared to individual work (89.48 in grade 1 and 92.14 in grade 2). Additionally, 78.9% of students expressed a preference for group work, citing enhanced understanding through group discussions and mutual support in problem-solving. Interviews highlighted that picture series were effective in helping students visualize and comprehend procedural steps, though some challenges with picture clarity and size were noted

The role of madrasah teachers is crucial in guiding students to achieve quality learning. In the digital era, technological developments, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT, have had a significant impact on education. While ChatGPT can positively contribute to the teaching and learning process, it also poses new challenges in the form of declining interest in literacy, reduced critical thinking skills, and an increased risk of academic plagiarism. Therefore, madrasah teachers' strategies in anticipating the negative impacts of technology are urgently needed for research. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Malang City. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that madrasah teachers implement various preventive strategies, such as multiliteracy-based pedagogical planning, the implementation of open-ended question-based assessments, and the use of AI-based writing detectors. The discussion of this research elaborates on these strategies by linking them to literacy theory, constructivism, and previous literature reviews. The findings of this study confirm that madrasah teachers' strategies have a significant contribution to efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal 4 regarding quality education

THE CONSTITUTIONALIZATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE 1945 CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA ACCORDING TO LOCKEAN NATURAL RIGHTS

This article examines and critiques the constitutional basis for incorporating human rights into Chapter XA of the 1945 Constitution through the lens of natural rights theory, particularly John Locke’s (Lockean) conception of natural rights. Locke’s foundational principle “rights first, government second” presupposes that government does not create human rights but merely recognizes rights that inherently exist. This principle is applied to analyse the Second Amendment to the 1945 Constitution, which ultimately produced Chapter XA. The central thesis argues that Chapter XA of the 1945 Constitution could theoretically be abolished because human rights, as natural rights, do not require constitutional enumeration for their protection; their existence is independent of constitutional text. This argument challenges the Framers’ positivist assumption that constitutionalizing human rights is constitutive, and instead advances Lockean Natural Rights as the proper theoretical foundation

This study examines the impact of digital financial literacy on the shopping and saving behaviors of Indonesian millennials, with a focus on both current practices and future financial intentions. As digital financial services proliferate in emerging markets, understanding their influence on consumer financial decision-making is increasingly vital. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling was employed to analyze data collected from 226 purposively selected Generation Z respondents (aged 17–27) residing in Yogyakarta. All participants actively use e-wallets, mobile banking, and fintech applications, and have prior experience with digital shopping and saving. The methodology ensured sample relevance and construct validity. Data were processed using LISREL 8.8 and SPSS 0.25. The findings reveal that higher levels of digital financial literacy significantly enhance strategic financial behavior, promoting responsible spending and consistent saving in both present and future contexts. Unlike prior research that emphasized financial inclusion, this study contributes to the literature by directly linking digital literacy with specific financial behaviors. The results highlight the need for targeted financial education to strengthen digital capabilities among youth. Practical implications are offered for educators, policymakers, and financial service providers to foster sustainable financial well-being among millennials in Indonesia and comparable developing economies

MOBILITY, LOCAL IDENTITY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE CIRENDEU INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY IN WEST JAVA

ABSTRACT In the literature, it is common to view indigenous peoples in terms of places and territories, local cultures, and unique origins. Such studies go further to identify knowledge and wisdom, and to address the question of sustainability of indigenous peoples, in terms of localities. What seems to be lacking in this spatial view is attention to motions. The aim of this brief article is to bring the mobilities paradigm to the literature on indigenous peoples by presenting a case study. The empirical question that guides our research is how the locality of indigenous peoples be assembled and maintained. Our research addresses this question by examining the localizing factors that form the Cireundeu Village’s indigenous community in Cimahi, West Java. This community originated from the expansion of Kasepuhan Sunda Wiwitan Cigugur, Kuningan. We employ case study method to gather and analyze empirical data and make use of relevant information from secondary sources. Our findings indicate that there are circulations of things, people and information that form and maintain the locality of Cireundeu’s indigenous people. Among these are ideas, technical skills and knowledge. While there is boundary that defines inside and outside, this boundary is maintained through circulations. The capacity of Cireundeus’s indigenous people to adapt to changes seems to develop from their mobilities, instead of reliance on local fixities. With the findings of this research, we seek to contribute to the debates between spatial turns and mobility turns in social theories and argue for the relevance of mobilities paradigm in the study of indigenous peoples. We belief that a more inter-disciplinary understanding of indigenous peoples would lead to enriched insights into indigenous communities' social and cultural dynamics and provide a new approach to address sustainable development of communities within the increasingly interconnected world

PAPUA PEGUNUNGAN DALAM BAYANG-BAYANG INFLASI: TELAAH KRITIS ATAS FENOMENA DEPENDENSI DALAM BINGKAI EKONOMI POLITIK

ABSTRACT Mountainous Papua faces significant economic challenges, including high inflation rates that hinder social development and community welfare. One of the primary factors behind this issue is economic dependency on central regions and developed countries for essential supplies, technology, and economic policies. This article examines the phenomenon of inflation in Mountainous Papua through a critical dependency theory approach, focusing on the asymmetric relationship between peripheral and central regions. Using a political economy framework, the article argues that sustained dependency contributes to economic instability and vulnerability to poverty. Therefore, a strategic plan is necessary to establish an inclusive economic ecosystem as a pathway out of the grip of inflation.ABSTRAK Papua Pegunungan mengalami tantangan ekonomi yang signifikan, termasuk tingginya tingkat inflasi yang menghambat pembangunan sosial dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Lecturers are a key element in improving the quality of education in higher education. Effective assessment of lecturer performance is essential for evaluation and improvement of education quality. Instituito Profissional de Canossa (IPDC) evaluates lecturer performance through manual methods involving students, this process often produces inaccurate data and slows down decision making. For this reason, a decision support system is needed that can accommodate all the criteria needed in decision making using the promethee method to assess lecturer performance. Promethee was chosen in this research because of its ability to consider data characteristics and provide more accurate results. This DSS will consider three assessment criteria, including education, community service and research. The results of the DSS implementation with the Promethee method can provide recommendations for lecturer performance rankings that help the quality assurance team in identifying outstanding lecturers
