Sturges Hall
Sturges Hall, originally named the Class Room and Administration Building, was built in 1938 and has served as a general classroom building since. In the fall of 1983 a new carillon was installed. It had received a “gut renovation” that will remove all interior walls and utilities while preserving historical significance of items such as the auditorium, grand tower stairway, windows, and clock that is slated to complete in 2026. It is named in honor of Dr. James V. Sturges, Principal of Geneseo Normal from 1905 to 1922.https://knightscholar.geneseo.edu/cap-sturges/1017/thumbnail.jp
