Оpportunities for the implementation of a digitalization strategy in the north- eastern planning region of Bulgaria, in the field of the agricultural sector
Get PDFDigitalization is one of the main priorities of Europe and the European Union in the field of agriculture. It makes a large number of work processes much easier and less time-consuming. By digitalization, we mean the digital representation and digital form of the signal with which the defined tasks reach us. In modern practice, digitized data are in the form of binary numbers that facilitate computer processing in the agricultural sector. The objective we set in this paper is to find out whether digitization is applicable in a wide range as one of the successful strategies in the North East planning region in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria. To achieve this goal, we have used methods of extrapolation, deduction, induction, method of pre-structured interview, survey method and also methods of analysis and synthesis. The results we arrive at can be used with success by software companies developing specialized software for the agrarian sphere, as well as by agrarian companies wishing to put such software into practice. In addition, they can be used by all scientists and specialists in the field of digital transformation and development of the agricultural sector, both in Bulgaria and abroad

Enhancing safety and efficiency in maritime drone operations: a comprehensive analysis of pilot pre-training
Get PDFThe increasing deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in maritime operations has highlighted the need for comprehensive pre-training for drone pilots to ensure the secure and effective integration of UAVs in the maritime domain. The objective of this study is to ascertain the prerequisites for pre-training for drone pilots operating in maritime contexts and to examine the potential benefits of incorporating innovative training methods to enhance learning outcomes and prepare pilots for the demands of real-world scenarios. The research underscores the paramount importance of technical proficiency, an awareness of maritime regulations and safety protocols, advanced capabilities in risk assessment, mission planning, and data analysis, in addition to adaptability, problem-solving, and communication skills. The results demonstrate that effective pre-training, which incorporates advanced techniques such as virtual reality simulations and scenario-based learning, can markedly enhance learning outcomes and more effectively prepare pilots for the intricacies associated with maritime drone operations. Furthermore, the study underscores the imperative for the establishment of standardized training programs tailored to the specific functions of maritime drones, the evaluation of the long-term efficacy of diverse training methodologies, and an inquiry into the prospective contribution of artificial intelligence and machine learning in enhancing pilot training and decision-making processes. By addressing these factors, the maritime sector can ensure that drone pilots possess the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively navigate the challenges of this evolving field, thereby contributing to safer and more efficient maritime operations

A Survey Of Students` Attitudes About Cervical Cancer Vaccination
Get PDFIntroduction: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women. It is preventable in 99% of cases, provided early prevention is carried out. This is the place of modern nurses and midwives. World experience establishes different approaches and practices for health prevention, in which different medical specialists are involved. A delegated role of trained nurse and midwife in preventive activities is outlined. Therefore, in the context of modern nursing, it is extremely important that the competencies of health care professionals are developed from the training period.Objective: To investigate the attitude of students towards the primary prevention of cervical cancer, to establish their awareness of prevention methods, and to analyze their knowledge about vaccination.Material and methods: An anonymous online questionnaire on the Google forms platform was used. A total of 79 students from the Veliko Tarnovo branch of the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" Varna, specialties "Nurse" and "Midwife". The research was conducted in September 2023.Results and Conclusions: The results of the conducted online anonymous survey among students of the "nursing" and "midwife" specialties show that the students have a relatively high level of awareness about the human papillomavirus and its role in the development of cervical cancer. However, they do not have established stable habits for conducting preventive examinations and are not familiar with the specifics of primary and secondary prevention of cervical cancer in detail

It is a process in which an experienced person voluntarily dedicates their time and knowledge to support and encourage a less experienced one in their development and growth in a particular field. In the learning process, the mentor influences students’ thinking, behavior, and actions. The organization of medical universities goes through continuous improvement, management, and control to meet the growing healthcare needs in the globalizing world.The role of a mentor during the practical training of medical professionals, including x-ray laboratory assistants, is extremely important. It has a significant impact on students' motivation and the level of knowledge and skills they acquire during their practice. The mentor influences students in various ways during their practical training—as a role model, providing support and motivation, guiding them in their career development, assisting them in developing professional knowledge and skills, and fostering personal qualities.To effectively fulfill their mentoring role, the teacher must possess a set of skills and qualities to earn the trust and respect of students and engage them in improving the profession they have chosen. In the training of x-ray laboratory assistants at the Medical College, practical preparation, including internships and pregradute training, constitutes 50% of all classes in the curriculum. This means that during their education, students interact with their mentors, creating a two-way influence flow, which can be beneficial for all participants in the learning process
Practical Training: One Important Step for X-Ray Laboratory Assistants’ Professionalization
Get PDFThe profession of 'X-ray laboratory assistant' emerged shortly after the discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Röntgen in 1895. This groundbreaking discovery permanently transformed the face of medicine. The profession has undergone a lot of changes due to the dynamic development of medical equipment and technologies. The profession was regulated in the second half of the 20th century. The profession has a practical orientation, and therefore, the practical training of students has great importance for their professional realization.Two characteristics stand out, supporting the prioritization of practical training for the X-ray laboratory assistants. These are the roles of the mentor and the patient in the learning process. Clinical practice and pre-graduate internships constitute about 50% of the total classes for students. Only during practical training will future medical specialists have the opportunity to draw from the experience and knowledge of their mentors, receiving support and motivation from them.Working with real patients, on the other hand, allows X-ray laboratory assistants to develop skills and master qualities that enable them to gain the trust and cooperation of patients, which can improve the diagnostic and therapeutic processes. During practical training, students acquire fundamental skills such as teamwork, the ability to solve problems and conflicts, social skills, and qualities such as compassion, humanism, empathy, responsibility, and others
