The Effect Of Wordwall-Assisted Teams Games Tournament Learning Model On Students' Critical Thinking Abilities In Biology Subjects
This research aims to determine the effect of the teams games tournament learning model assisted by wordwall on students' critical thinking abilities in biology subjects. This research is quantitative research with a quasi experimental design method. The design used is a pretest posttest control group design. The sampling technique in this research used a cluster random sampling technique for class XII IPA 2 (experimental class) and XII IPA 3 (control class). Data collection techniques in this research consisted of tests, field notes, and documentation. The analysis test used is the independent t-test for critical thinking abilities, showing that Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <α (0.05), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So the results of this research can be concluded that there is an influence of using the teams games tournament learning model with the help of wordwall on students' critical thinking abilities in biology subjects.
Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Turnamen Game Tim Berbantuan Wordwall Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Dalam Mata Pelajaran Biologi
ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran teams games tournament berbantu wordwall terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis metode quasy experimental design. Desain yang digunakan yaitu pretest posttest kontrol group design. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh kelas XII IPA 2 (kelas eksperimen) dan XII IPA 3 (kelas kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Uji analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t independent kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukan bahwa Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (0,05), maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran teams games tournament berbantu wordwall terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi
Local Wisdom Napai-Based STEM Learning (LW-STEM) Improves Creative Thinking (CT) and Communication Skills in Students
The objective of this study is to examine whether the implementation of LW Napai-STEM learning can enhance students' creative thinking (CT) and communication skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental approach using a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The N-gain of creative thinking skills tested using the Independent Sample t-Test with a significance level of 5% obtained a Sig. (2 tailed) value of 0.01 <0.05. The average N-gain in the experimental class was 0.56 in the "moderate" category while the control class was 0.29 in the "low" category. This shows that there is a significant influence of the implementation of STEM learning based on local wisdom of napai (LW-STEM) on students' creative thinking skills and the effect size is categorized as large. The conclusion of this study is that STEM learning based on local wisdom of napai (LW-STEM) has an effect on students' creative thinking and communication skills, both oral and written.
Pembelajaran STEM berbasis Kearifan Lokal Napai (LW-STEM) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif dan Komunikasi Siswa
ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pembelajaran LW Napai-STEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif (CT) dan komunikasi siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi-eksperimental melalui desain penelitian non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. N-gain kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang diuji menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan nilai Sig. (2 tailed) 0,01 < 0,05. Rerata N-gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,56 dalam kategori “sedang” sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,29 dalam kategori “rendah”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan implementasi pembelajaran STEM berbasis kearifan lokal napai(LW-STEM) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa serta effect size berkategori besar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran STEM berbasis kearifan lokal napai (LW-STEM) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi baik lisan maupun tertulis siswa
Taming social media: The effectiveness of behavior contract and self-management counseling for adolescents
Social media addiction deeply affects students academically and psychologically. Most studies, especially in the Indonesian context, focused on social media addiction; some studies focused on the healing process, especially in the educational context. This study focused on the impacts of social media addiction counseling intervention on SMA Negeri 5 Magelang students. The researcher used a quasi-experimental design while adopting 2 of the four experimental groups configured using different techniques, each consisting of 7 students. The first of these groups used a behavior contract approach and the second used a self-management approach. The researcher adopted the Social Media Addiction Scale. The described data was analyzed and interpreted using paired and independent sample t-tests alongside effect size determination. The findings indicated that the counseling objectives were achieved by both groups, albeit with contrasting outcomes, particularly with the contract group averaging 20.29, and self-management group 9.29, statistically significant. The contract group achieved the most positive change of 2.535, however both groups showed statistically significant and differential positive results due to the techniques applied.The contract technique was statistically proven to be more effective than self-management. The role of behavior contract–integrated group counseling activities to build students' discipline, self-control, and responsible behavior on and off social media is invaluable. Counsellors are encouraged to use behavior contracts as a proactive approach to addressing social media overuse. Future research should prioritize larger sample sizes, consider potential moderating variables, and examine the long-term effects of such interventions through a longitudinal approac
Innovation of Islamic Elementary School in Strengthening Religious Character: Adaptive Strategy in the Digital Era
This study aims to explore the innovations carried out by Sekolah Rendah Islam Al-Maarif Sungai Petani Malaysia in strengthening students' religious character. This study uses a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The informants involved include the principal, teachers, students, and researchers using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana's qualitative data analysis. The results of the study indicate that the innovations carried out by the school in strengthening students' religious character are (a) internalization of character through intracurricular learning, (b) routine worship activities such as dhuha prayer, reciting the Koran, and dzuhur prayer in congregation, (c) the Tarbawi Champfire program, and (d) student organizations in the school. The results of this study provide insight into the innovations that have been carried out in strengthening students' religious character while opening up opportunities for further research including long-term evaluations of the effectiveness of the program in shaping students' religious character. These findings can then be adopted by other schools both in Malaysia and in other countries that have the same typology of Islamic education systems
EFL Tertiary Lecturer’s Perception of Integrating YouTube in Teaching Speaking
This study was conducted to investigate EFL Tertiary Lecturers' Perceptions of YouTube Integration in English Language Teaching with a focus on the future use of YouTube in Speaking Instruction, The purpose of this study is to find out the perceptions of EFL lecturers in integrating YouTube into their English Language Teaching. This study used a qualitative approach with thematic analysis data collection techniques derived from semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. Based on the research findings, show that lecturers have a positive perception of the use of YouTube to teach speaking, as it is accessible, cost-free, and adaptable. Its diverse content, link-sharing feature, and ability to be accessed from anywhere enhance the learning experience. YouTube also increases student engagement and makes learning more enjoyable. However, lecturers still play a crucial role in bridging theoretical and practical learning. The selection of educational videos must consider duration and relevance to align with learning objectives. Overall, YouTube is a valuable tool in language learning, but its effectiveness is maximized when combined with well-structured guidance from lecturers
The Correlation Between Punctuation and Narrative Writing Among the Second-Year Communication Science Students of BSI University
This research is made as a result of issue of error punctuation usage on narrative writing. Understanding meaning of writing text is depend on the punctuation. It is scrutinized by using correlation research method. The result of the research was elaborated into three categories. They are low, middle, and high. Based on variable of punctuation usage, the low grade defined 21,62% or 8 students, the middle grade defined 65,75% or 21 students, and the high grade defined 21,62% or 8 students. Furthermore, based on narrative writing, the low grade set 24,32% or 9 students, the middle grade set 51,35%, and the high grade set 24,32% or 9 students. Then, the researchers resulted “r hitung” = 0,5956 and “r table” = 0,334 or 0,430. The calculation showed that “r hitung” was bigger than “r table”. It means that there was a significant correlation between punctuation usage and narrative writing among the second-year communication sciences students. Through the finding and looking at middle category grade, it can be summed up that there was significant study between punctuation usage and narrative writing
Reformasi Administrasi dan Desentralisasi Pada Masa Dinasti Ummayah di Damaskus (670-750 M)
Research on classical Islamic administrative systems tends to emphasize the centralization of caliphal power, yet insufficiently explores the complexity of center-periphery relations in governmental practice. This article analyzes the paradox between political centralization and administrative decentralization during the Umayyad Dynasty in Damascus (670-750 CE) to address gaps in Islamic political history literature. This qualitative research employs a library research approach. Although the Umayyad Dynasty's political system was characterized by absolute monarchy with power centralized in the caliph, governmental administrative practices demonstrated significant administrative decentralization. Provincial governments were granted autonomy to independently manage conquered territories as a response to the geographical and administrative complexities of the vast empire. These findings challenge conventional views regarding the complete centralization of Umayyad governance and contribute to understanding the evolution of Islamic protobureaucracy. This research has theoretical implications for historical public administration and contemporary relevance for discussions of center-periphery relations in modern Muslim world governance.The political system during the reign of the Ummayah Dynasty in Damascus tended to be absolute monarchy where absolute power was in the hands of a Caliph. However, in managing the administration of the kingdom, a caliph still delegated his power to his assistants to complete technical matters of government. The wider range of territories makes government affairs more complex, which makes the delegation of authority to local governments crucial. This article aims to examine the model of bureaucratic governance during the Ummayah Dynasty, especially in terms of the relationship between the central government in Damascus and the provincial governments in the conquest areas. The method used in this research is pure qualitative with data collection techniques through a library research approach. The results showed that although political power was held centrally, by changing the government system into an absolute monarchy and the succession of leadership was carried out dynastically, but in terms of governance, the Ummayah Dynasty tended to manage local governments in a decentralized manner, by giving a role to the Provincial Government to manage its territory autonomously
Codicological and Intertextuality Study of the Manuscript of Arba’īn Ḥadīthan Tata'alaq bi Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ by Yūsuf ibn ‘Abdullāh al-Armayūnī
Arba'īn Ḥadīṡan Tata'alaq bi Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ merupakan sebuah manuskrip karangan Yūsuf bin 'Abdullāh al-Ḥusainī al-Armayūnī yang memuat hadits-hadits tentang keutamaan membaca Surah al-Ikhlas. Penelitian ini diawali dengan memaparkan tinjauan seluk-beluk manuskrip atau kodikologi. Kemudian analisis intertekstualitas hadits dalam manuskrip tersebut disertai dengan analisis kutipan hadits Nabi yang kurang lengkap sehingga tidak memenuhi kaidah penulisan hadits yang telah disepakati mayoritas ulama. Dalam penelitian ini juga akan dipaparkan hasil takhrīj dan penelusuran kualitas hadits. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka. Penelusuran hadis dilakukan dengan metode takhrīj al-ḥadīṡ melalui lafal atau kata (bi al-Lafẓi) dalam hadis matan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa naskah ini merupakan naskah berbahasa Arab yang ditulis di atas kertas berwarna coklat. Terdapat rubrikasi dan parafrasa dalam naskah tersebut. Kondisi naskah ini kurang lengkap pada bagian akhir. Hal ini diketahui karena naskah ini hanya memuat 21 hadis dan terdapat interjeksi yang merujuk pada kalimat berikutnya. Hadis-hadis dalam naskah ini terkait dengan kitab-kitab yang ditulis oleh Jalāluddīn al-Suyuṭi. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena periwayatannya yang bersifat ilmiah. Dari 21 hadits dalam manuskrip Arba'īn Ḥadīṡan Tata'alaq bi Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ, diketahui hanya 2 hadits yang berkualitas ṣaḥiḥ, 17 hadits yang berkualitas ḍa'īf dan 2 hadits yang dinilai sebagai hadits ḍa'īf bahkan maudū'.Kata Kunci: Naskah Hadits; Hadits Arba'in; Kodikologi; Intertekstual; Surah al-Ikhlas.
Human Resource Development as a Strategy to Face Environmental Change: A Thematic Interpretation Study of the Qur’an
Abstract
This article aims to explain the strategy offered by the Qur’an in dealing with environmental change through the development of human resources. The method used in writing this article is the thematic method with a literature review, and it is qualitative. The results of the study show that the Qur’an provides solutions and guidance for humans in facing environmental changes, which, if applied in life, will enable them to adapt well. At least four approaches can be taken from the indications of the Qur’anic verses in this matter: strengthening spirituality, using reason and intellect to the fullest, enhancing environmental education, and developing skills.

Abstrak
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan tentang strategi yang ditawarkan Al-Qur’an dalam menghadapi perubahan lingkungan melalui pengembangan sumber daya yang dimiliki manusia. Adapun metode yang dipakai dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah metode tematik dengan kajian pustaka serta bersifat kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur’an memberi solusi dan petunjuk bagi manusia dalam menghadapi perubahan lingkungan, yang jika diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan akan mampu beradaptasi dengan baik. Setidaknya ada empat tawaran yang dapat diambil dari isyarat ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an dalam hal ini, yaitu penguatan spiritualitas, penggunaan akal dan nalar secara maksimal, penguatan edukasi lingkungan dan pengembangan keterampilan.

FIKISMART: Website-Based Learning Media for Islamic Religious Education Subjects, Topic of Fiqh for Middle Schools
In the increasingly advanced digital era, the use of information technology-based learning media is very relevant and important. Given the gap between students' needs for interactive and innovative learning media and teaching methods that still tend to be conventional in Islamic Education (PAI) subjects. This study aims to examine the feasibility of developing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media based on the website "FIKISMART" in the context of Fiqh Mawaris learning at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Therefore, this study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method to explore the needs of students and teachers in Fiqh Mawaris learning. Through qualitative data collection (Needs analysis and feasibility for teachers) and quantitative (Needs analysis, Validity (Material and Media Experts) and feasibility for students). The results of the study at the needs analysis stage showed that 54% of students answered "agree" which showed that website-based learning media was feasible to be developed. Furthermore, the researcher compiled a prototype of interactive and informative learning media. The results of the validity test showed that the "FIKISMART" learning media was proven valid with a score of 91% by material experts and 93% by media experts. From the feasibility test, "FIKISMART" has significant potential to be developed and used, especially to improve students' understanding of Fiqh Mawaris material. By considering the aspects of usability, relevant content, and high interactivity, this media is expected to provide a more enjoyable and effective learning experience
