HỖ TRỢ XÃ HỘI Ở SINH VIÊN ĐẠI HỌC VIỆT NAM: BẰNG CHỨNG VỀ SỰ KHÁC BIỆT GIỚI TÍNH
Social support is considered to be an important element of relationships. Previous studies have provided evidence that low social support is closely related to poor physical and mental health. Gender has an important influence on social support for university students; however, research on the level of social support and differences in social support by gender for Vietnamese university students is still lacking. The current study aims to investigate the level of social support and gender differences in social support for Vietnamese university students. A total of 859 Vietnamese university students have completed the Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS). The results revealed that Vietnamese university students have a high level of social support and that male students have a lower level of social support than female students. Factors that may contribute to gender differences in social support are discussed. These findings have important implications for the development of interventions to provide gender-based social support.Hỗ trợ xã hội được coi là một yếu tố quan trọng trong các mối quan hệ. ORIENTALISM AND POSTCOLONIAL CRITICISMIN IN MO YAN’S FICTION
This article applies the postcolonial criticism frameworks of Edward Said and Gayatri Spivak to examine five representative novels by Mo Yan: The Herbivorous Family, Red Sorghum Clan, Sandalwood Death, Big Breasts and Wide Hips, and Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out. The analysis focuses on how Mo Yan’s narratives construct Eastern images, grotesque aesthetics, and female images under the influence of postcolonial discourse. The findings reveal that his depictions of violence, the human body, and patriarchal oppression simultaneously reflect a complex negotiation with Western cultural hegemony and an inheritance of traditional Chinese narrative paradigms. By situating Mo Yan’s literary strategies within broader postcolonial debates, this study demonstrates the multidimensional nature of postcolonial discourse in contemporary Chinese literature. Moreover, it highlights how these works may inform comparative approaches to Vietnamese literature particularly regarding issues of national identity, gender, and the reception of global literary discourses

THE NATURAL FOOD AND FEEDING HABITS OF TANK GOBY GLOSSOGOBIUS GIURIS HAMILTON DISTRIBUTED IN THE DOWNSTREAM SECTION OF THE TAM QUAN RIVER
Glossogobius giuris plays a vital role in the local food supply in the Tam Quan region of Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. However, knowledge on its natural food composition and feeding habits in this area is very rare. Therefore, this study was conducted to fill this research gap. A total of 193 specimens were collected for study from January to June 2022 in the downstream section of the Tam Quan River. The relative length of the gut, the frequency of occurrence, the number percentage, the weight percentage, and the relative importance percentage of food items were examined. The results showed that the relative length of the gut varied from 0.68 to 0.72, indicating carnivorous feeding. The natural food composition was dominated by Acetes, followed by small fish and a small amount of Lucifer, showing that Glossogobius giuris is carnivorous. A feeding shift between three size classes, with changes in the ratio of food items, was found. The findings provide critical knowledge that may be used in aquaculture and in the conservation of this species
THE IMPACT OF CAPITAL BUFFER ON CREDIT RISK IN THE VIETNAMESE BANKING SYSTEM
This article examines the impact of capital buffer on credit risk in the Vietnamese banking system and whether external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and capital regulation influence this relationship. Regression results on a sample of 31 Vietnamese commercial banks from 2010 to 2022 indicate that increasing capital buffers reduces credit risk. However, when capital buffers reach a sufficient level to create a protective cushion for banks against potential losses, banks become more willing to make risky lending decisions that increase credit risk. The research findings reveal that the COVID-19 pandemic did not affect the relationship between capital buffer and credit risk, and that the implementation of Basel II capital adequacy regulations increased the capital buffers of banks and significantly reduced credit risk. This article bridges the gap in the literature regarding the impact of capital buffers on credit risk in Vietnamese commercial banks and provides important implications for bank managers as well
THE INTERFACE POSITION OF A BOSE-EINSTEIN CONDENSATE MIXTURE RESTRICTED BY A HARD WALL IN THE DOUBLE-PARABOLA APPROXIMATION
In this study, we determine the interface position of a binary Bose-Einstein condensate mixture in the prewetting phase, confined by a hard wall, at absolute zero temperature. An approximate analytical result is obtained by employing the double-parabola approximation (DPA) to the quartic potential energy density within the Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) theory. The interface position depends on the control parameter and the chemical potential ratio. Our analytical result shows good agreement with numerical results, which indicates that the DPA is a reliable method. This study provides insights for experiments focused on observing the wetting transition of gases in the Bose-Einstein condensate phase
CAMELLIA SECTION PIQUETIA: DESCRIPTION OF TWO NEW SPECIES FROM SOUTHERN VIETNAM
Two new species of Camellia belonging to section Piquetia were discovered in southern Vietnam and are described here as new to science. The first species, Camellia daeseobii, is morphologically similar to Camellia langbianensis, C. vidalii, C. proensis, and C. sphamii; the second species, Camellia hoangbacii, resembles C. hiepii and C. longii but can be clearly distinguished from the allied taxa based on several morphological characters. This paper provides standard taxonomic descriptions, morphological comparisons with related species, and detailed illustrations of floral structures

This study focuses on the quantum Rényi relative entropy and investigates the minimal and maximal values of this particular type of relative entropy between unitary orbits. In addition, we derive the extremal values for the quantum Chernoff distance between unitary orbits
EFFECTS OF GIBBERELLIC ACID ON THE GROWTH TRAITS, PROLINE CONTENT, PHOTOSYNTHESIS INTENSITY, AND MIRCROMORPHOLOGY OF KING MANDARIN (CITRUS NOBILIS LOUR.) UNDER IN VITRO SALINITY STRESS CONDITIONS
King mandarin (Citrus nobilis Lour.) is one of the main fruit trees in agricultural production in Vietnam due to its high nutritional and economic value. Cultivation in the Mekong Delta, the largest citrus-producing region in Vietnam, is currently threatened by increasingly serious drought and salinity. Supplementing exogenous gibberellic acid helps stimulate the activity of antioxidant enzymes, improves stomatal conductance and photosynthesis intensity, and increases plant growth and salt stress tolerance. This study investigates the effects of gibberellic acid at concentrations of 0.0, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 mg.L-1 on the growth and the physiological and biochemical parameters of King mandarin in vitro under salinity stress conditions. The results indicate that the presence of gibberellic acid in the culture medium improved the germination and growth traits of King mandarin, particularly in the culture medium supplemented with 0.5 mg.L-1 gibberellic acid. Higher gibberellic acid concentration correlates with lower proline content. In addition, lignification and granular deposits in the root anatomical structure were lower with gibberellic acid treatment than with the control treatment. These results indicate that gibberellic acid treatment can be an effective tool for improving the growth and development and the physiological and biochemical parameters of King mandarin under salinity stress

This article aims to identify and compare the inspiration drawn from painting and its influence on the thematic content and artistic form of four novels: My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk, Blindness by José Saramago, Lust for Life by Irving Stone, and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Various research methods were employed in combination to achieve the study’s objectives, including comparative analysis, interdisciplinary approach, biographical method, and analytical method. The findings indicate that painting serves as a vital source of inspiration in the creative processes of all four authors: Orhan Pamuk, José Saramago, Irving Stone, and Dan Brown. Furthermore, this inspiration has significantly shaped the thematic content and artistic form of the four novels, contributing to their unique literary characteristics. Examining the role of artistic inspiration in these works through a comparative lens holds both scientific and practical significance. It reveals the similarities and differences among the authors in using painting as a creative inspiration, sheds light on the role of artistic influence in literary creation, and reinforces the close relationship between literature and painting. Additionally, it affirms interdisciplinary research as an essential and inevitable approach. This direction provides valuable insights for future studies comparing literature and painting in Vietnamese works and exploring the parallels between Vietnamese literature and global literary traditions
