This internship report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of internship report.Includes bibliographical references (pages 50-52).Prime Bank Limited (PBL) is one of the most renowned banks in Bangladesh. It was established in 17th April 1995. It has been one of the dominating banks from the very beginning of the commercial banks. It has contributed a lot in Bangladesh’s economy. The topic of my internship report is “An Overview on Credit Risk Management of Prime bank limited”. It has achieved the latest highlighted feature in the banking industry of Bangladesh. There is a huge competition in the banking industry between the commercial and Gov. Banks in Bangladesh, which is the reason that Credit Risk Management has gained an extensive attention. The main focus of my report was to understand the activities take place in An Overview on Credit Risk Management of “Prime Bank Limited”. This report primarily focuses on the overall financial indicators of “Prime bank Limited” and their performance in this overall commercial banking industry in Bangladesh. Different issues like their management, financial strength, credit and collection policies and their crisis, management stands are described in this report. I tried to describe the steps “Prime bank Limited” follows to maintain this issues of Credit Risk. It also includes the Credit facilities PBL provides for their customers. This report covers the facilities under MSME, RETAIL and CORPORATE units. But I have mainly focused on the Retail Loans of “Prime Bank Limited” due to the limitation of the research. I have focused on the facilities of retail loan like Personal loan, Home Loan, Secured Loan, Credit card, Auto loan etc. Here I have showed their retail loan’s performance, total outstanding loan amount, total Non-performing Loan (NPL) Amount and segmented loan performance of Prime Bank’s retail department. As a general there is a minimum amount of credit risk for most of the customers, so I have tried to find out what types of credit risk issues PBL face and how they manage this credit risk issues of the customers. I have also tried to compare the loan performance, total outstanding loans and Non-Performing Loan amount of “Prime bank Limited” with “City Bank” so that the current position of “Prime Bank Limited” can be understood and they can take several steps to grow their economy more. After discussing these components, I have found out some findings and challenges PBL faces while they manage the credit risk of their customers. In the finding part I found that they are facing problems like inflexible credit assessment and risk categorizing, ineffective Third Party agent (CPV agents), inefficient data management and some other things which are affecting PBL’s Credit Risk Management. Lastly, I tried to make some recommendations for the bank based on my findings and challenges they face. The credit risk can be managed efficiently if these recommendations are followed and the challenges are converted into opportunity by “Prime Bank limited”Rubaiat Abde RabbyB. Business Administratio

Accelerator programs and its benefits for micro entrepreneurship

This internship report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of internship report. This report is on how accelerator programs benefits micro entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. The programs that have been run were mostly outside of Dhaka – such as Rangpur, Barguna, Dinajpur, Khulna, etc. This is because the accelerator programs that are done in sub-urban areas reap greater benefits since the people living on the outskirts lack financial and educational support. Which is why when they get big support from the capital city, they excel in their performance and stay determined to grow their businesses. For these entrepreneurs the sky is the limit and they will travel great distances to get the vocational training provided by industry experts and business tycoons. The accelerator programs discussed here are mainly that of Unnoty program because that is the program that I was a part of. Apart from this there are small segments that talk about SmartCap and TruValu’s Farmer’s Hub done in Rangpur, all of which I was a part of. The report not only gives insights to what these small and medium sized entrepreneurs need, but what sort of steps actually helps these businessman and women in real life. There are different models provided in the report for different scenarios. Not all businesses are the same, so obviously not all solutions will be the same either. Having said that, there have been trials to make a generic plan for tackling most similar problems that are faced by micro-entrepreneurs such as access to finance, capacity building and forward market linkage. These are some of the basic generic problems that every one faces. There have been many models and structures of accelerator programs that tackle these very problems with different solutions. The report here discusses primary solution through going to the fields personally and helping out people in their daily work and also there are digital solutions where data input is required to understand the needs and wants of the entrepreneurs. Here, Farmer’s Hub of Syngenta Bangladesh has used an IT driven solution to help farmers grow better crops and get support beforehand so that it is not too late when professionals get to the actual scene. This report also gives the result of the accelerator programs and how they have helped SMEs get huge investments from venture capital firms which is very new in Bangladesh. Such VC firms need to grow and need to have a stack of opportunistic businesses to invest in. Bangladesh has a diverse set of products that can be curated to the international market. Under the right mentorship and planning this can be made possible where Bangladeshi products are being sold world-wide, and the exporters do not have to be from the Capital or the Port City of the country. One major plus point of micro-entrepreneurship is its nature of decentralized economy. Any part of Bangladesh can suddenly boom, if there is enough growth of small businesses in different parts of the country. The report gives an overview of the success stories of my time at LightCastle Partners and how we made it possible for SMEs to dream big. There are many such projects that are still ongoing and many more participants that are calling up to be a part of the such programs. I hope this student report sheds little light on the topic of Micro-Entrepreneurship and its importance for the growth of economy in Bangladesh.Kazuki KunimotoB. Business Administratio

This internship report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of internship report.Includes bibliographical references (page 39).This report reflects the first hand experience and knowledge I gathered during my tenure at Tryonyx Ltd. Though my work was solely based on the Business Development department but I got the opportunity to collaborate and work closely with the marketing team as well. As a result, I gathered data and tried to evaluate the different marketing mediums Tryonyx used to promote their products. Among these mediums, LinkedIn was one of the crucial one when it came to business to business marketing and lead generating. However, we found it really hard to promote our product and get significant response from our target audiences at LinkedIn’s platform. In this report I analyzed the reason behind the inefficiencies and the back draw we faced while trying to market our product via LinkedIn. Also, not having similar features like other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram made it more challenging for us to utilize LinkedIn to it’s full potential. I also realized that LinkedIn has only catered to the needs of a niche target audience at Bangladesh. Among these group of people, most of them are either looking for jobs or established their position in somewhere which has made them come to the platform in hope of extending their network more. The report mainly deals with overall marketing experience on LinkedIn and the challenges we faced and some suggestions to overcome those challenges as well. The whole analysis of the report was done using both qualitative and quantitative measures. Before coming to any conclusion from this report, it should be kept in mind that, it was prepared in a very short period of time, there were difficulties in finding the data as Tryonyx Ltd. is a start-up business and last but not the least, the survey sample size is fairly small which has been the biggest obstacle for reaching a conclusion. However, the report may still be useful for designing any further study on effectiveness of marketing on a platform like LinkedIn.Rubayet AminB. Business Administratio
