This study aims to analyze the effects of tourism capabilities on hotel performance in the Route of Emotions, which connects three Brazilian states and seeks to expand tourism in the Northeast. The Decision-Making Units (DMUs), which together make up the Route of Emotions (Rota das Emoções), cover 14 cities in the states of Ceará, Piauí, and Maranhão, with 310 accommodation establishments. Data were collected using SPSS and The Qualitative Data Analysis and Research Software. The results indicate that tourism capabilities have positive and significant implications for hotel performance, showing a performance difference based on hotel size. The correlation between capacity and tourism performance is significant regardless of hotel size. The number of respondents adopted was small in relation to the complexity of the constructs studied and the contribution that these results have to the literature. The implementation of strategic actions increases organizational effects, but requires the ability, on the part of decision-makers, to take a broad view of the environments in which they operate, incorporating multidimensionality into their strategic decisions. This research contributes to the literature on multidimensional performance and tourism capabilities, due to its explicit and relevant collaboration for scholars in analyzing the effects of tourism capabilities on the multidimensional performance of hotels. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los efectos de las capacidades turísticas en el desempeño de los hoteles en laRuta de las Emociones, que conecta tres estados brasileños y busca expandir el turismo en el Nordeste. The Southwest Atlantic (SW) encompasses an important ocean warming hotspot, driven by global climatic changes. Coastal and oceanic ecosystems in this region are potentially changing at an exceptionally fast rate, exerting detectable pressures on associated socioecological systems. Santa Catarina State, located in the south of Brazil, has an extensive coastline bathed by SW Atlantic waters and critically exposed to such pressures. Throughout nearly three centuries, human activities (e.g., fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, navigation, and harbors) and increasing land use have interacted with coastal and marine ecosystems distributed along the coastal zone and adjacent neritic environments, including (a) coastal streams, bays, estuaries and coastal lagoons bordered by mangrove forests, salt marshes and rain forests, (b) sand beaches interrupted by rocky shores and promontories, (c) coastal islands and (d) an extensive continental shelf influenced by the dynamics of coastal and oceanic water masses of the SW Atlantic. Such a complex landscape with multiple demands for both ecosystem preservation and human development enhances associated risks but also opportunities for action. To address these issues, we assess the potential exposure and sensibility of socioecological systems to global climate change-driven modifications, reviewing the role of environmental sciences in providing a better understanding on the ongoing natural processes and subsidize society for adaptation through regional management action. The Southwest Atlantic (SW) encompasses an important ocean warming hotspot, driven by global climatic changes. ABSTRACTThe growing need for efficient and scalable information retrievalsystems has driven the search for new approaches and architectures. This work proposes the Serverless Information Retrieval Architecture(SIRA) for information retrieval on a serverless computingplatform. The architecture is divided into two steps: document indexing, which includes processing, metric extraction, and the creationof inverted indexes; and document retrieval, which involves searchingfor relevant documents, classifying the documents throughmetrics, and presenting the results to the user. The performance ofthe SIRA architecture is compared to Elastic Search (ELS) on theTREC-COVID test collection. In addition to having the advantageof consuming resources only on demand, the SIRA architecturedemonstrates more effectiveness in retrieving relevant documents, indicating its potential as a solution in the field of informationretrieval

ABSTRACTSentiment Analysis is an emerging research area that focuses onextracting semantic and emotional inferences from natural language, paving the way for analyses that deal with a high volume oftextual data. The growing importance of data in strategic decisionmakingand the recognition of social networks as vast repositoriesof public opinion have propelled this study, which aimed to explorethe interaction between human emotions and motorsport events. Thus, this study focused on applying Natural Language Processingto extract and analyze sentiments expressed in tweets about Formula1. Advanced machine learning and deep learning techniqueswere employed to train various models in the sentiment classificationtask. Among these, Logistic Regression and LSTMs stood out, achieving accuracies of 78.21% and 78.08%, respectively. The LSTMmodel, in particular, was implemented on a public dataset of tweetscollected during the 2021 and 2022 Formula 1 seasons. The modelwas used to classify the sentiments expressed by fans, allowingfor an exploratory analysis of data correlated to specific events ofthe races. The findings revealed significant engagement patterns, with notable spikes in emotional reactions coinciding with criticalmoments of the seasons. These discoveries illustrate how particularevents can profoundly influence the emotions and behavior of fans. From a detailed analysis of expressed sentiments, valuable data canbe obtained that may be leveraged for developing more effectivemarketing and communication strategies in the sport

ABSTRACTIn situations of catastrophes or accidents that cause a high riskof life for people and also for the rescue team, the use of multipleUnmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) can help a lot in scenarioswhere the expected time of mapping and exploration is very small,so the faster the internal environment is known and mapped, thebetter the rescue strategy will be and the more likely the lives willbe saved. The help of multiple UAVs can be very advantageousin the race against time for data collection of the scenario to berescued, in indoor and unknown environments, in which navigationsystems such as global positioning (GPS) are not a possiblesolution. However, a proposal was created to be applied in thesecases, which uses a bioinspired method with multiple UAV for explorationand mapping, so that each autonomous UAV starts theprocess of territory exploration inspiringif in the hexagonal shapeof honeycombs of bees. However, this method used a maximum ofthree UAV due to the technological limitations of the simulationenvironment. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to create asimulation environment capable of working with dozens of UAVat the same time, so that the scalability of this method can be evaluated, taking into account the metrics of the original work andadding more and more UAV to the scenarios. It was observed thatthe method can be scalable up to a certain number of UAVs, dependingon the area of the environment, so that when adding moreUAVs, the exploration time does not decrease, sometimes increases, due to increased trac and the blockages generated

ABSTRACTThe presence of women in learning spaces in courses in the exactsciences area remains low, a fact that needs to be changed throughactions that enable greater gender diversity in the area. The UERGScomputing course has approximately 20% female students uponadmission, which is considered low. Changing this statistic requiresactions to be taken with female students during basic education, tospark interest in the area. In order to present the area of exactsciences to girls from basic education schools, which are close toUERGS, there is the Project Include Gurias that has beendeveloping actions such as workshops and scientific disseminationexclusively for girls from schools in the region, presenting the areaof exact sciences and seeking to encourage more girls to becomeinterested in computing. In this work, we sought to developteaching material to support the scientific dissemination of womenin exact sciences, with easy access and via smartphone, meaningthat anyone with a cell phone could have access to the interactivecontent. Therefore, a ChatBot was developed, which is calledChatBot Include Gurias, which provides a real-time conversation, whose theme is women scientists in the field of exact sciences

Abstract—The World Health Organization (WHO) estimatesthat around 50 million of the world’s population has Epilepsy. This disease affects children and the elderly and significantlyaffects the quality of life of these patients. In this context, itis essential to understand the different ways in which Epilepsyimpacts the daily lives of patients. The temporary symptomsattributed to seizures resulting from the disease can cause risksand injuries to patients, as many of them are not aware of theimminence of a crisis that, in some cases, can lead to death. In thiswork, we propose a device capable of detecting signs of seizuresand warning patients with Epilepsy to minimize potential risksto their physical integrity
