    Strategic Management in Improving Teacher's Pedagogical Competence in Ponggok Primary School

    This researh base on quality of education in Indonesia has been developing, with various programs undertaken by the government to continue improving the quality of education and quality of educators. This research is a qualitative research, the researcher does not use statistical data in data collection and analysis. The data needed in this study is the qualitative data, using a descriptive approach that is research that intends to make a description of the situations or events. The results of this research are that teacher pedagogic competence is the ability of teachers in managing learners learning that includes understanding of learners, planning and implementation of learning, evaluation of learning outcomes, and development of learners to actualize the various potentials it has. The application of ten pedagogic competence indicators, it is generally known that the pedagogical competence of the teachers of SDN Ponggok is sufficient, because the teachers of SDN Ponggok have prepared the lesson plan each time will teach, the RPP has been in accordance with predefined curriculum standard, using the strategy/approach appropriate, utilizing the media to enable students, master the material, process assessment and results

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi peran kompetensi guru dan lingkungan sekolah sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Peran motivasi sangat besar dalam belajar, dengan motivasi inilah siswa menjadi tekun dalam proses belajar mengajar, dan dengan motivasi itu pula kualitas hasil belajar siswa dapat diwujudkan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kompetensi profesionalisme guru dan lingkungan di sekolah dengan motivasi belajar PAI peserta didik kelas XI Tahun Pelajaran 2016 – 2017 di SMA/SMK/MA se kota Probolinggo. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner, yang disebarkan kepada 60 sampel. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik Proporsional Random Sampling teknik analisis data yang di gunakan adalah korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam penelitian ini hasil statistik diketahui nilai korelasi r hitung sebesar ry3 = 0,591. Angka ini mengisyaratkan bahwa hubungan berjalan secara bersama–sama antara kompetensi profofesionalisme guru dan lingkungan sekolah adalah positif. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,350 menunjukkan bahwa variable kompetensi profesionalisme guru dan lingkungan sekolah dengan motivasi belajar PAI berkontribusi terhadap motivasi belajar PAI 35%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 65% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak dianalisis dalam penelitian ini

    This study was intended to examine the process of meaning giving of character education values by identifying the process of developing a character-based school culture, both for students, teachers, and other school stakeholders. The research is qualitative in nature with phenomenology design. The research was conducted at Islamic Elementary School (Sekolah Dasar Islam/SDI) Zumrotus Salamah, Tulungagung, East Java. The objects of this study were the values of character education and the character-based school culture. The school principal, the vice principals, the teachers, the students, the school committees, the students’ parents, and the communities around the school were involved as the subjects of the study. The data were collected by administering in-depth interview, documentation and observation techniques. The validity of data was ensured by credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability checking techniques. The data were then analyzed in interrelated stages of data display, data reduction, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The results show that the values of character education were elaborated from the trilogy of Islamic doctrines, namely; al-Iman, al-Islam, and al-Ihsan. Finally, the stages of the development of character-based school culture were started from the internalization process of Islamic moral values, the positive change of students’ views and attitudes, and the implementation of character-based traits at schools, at home, and in the daily social activities of students

    This study is a study of thought associated with Agus Purwanto’s thought in the book by the tittle Ayat-Ayat Semesta and Nalar Ayat-Ayat Semesta. According  to Agus Purwanto thought in his book, he divides the relationship between Islam and science within 3 (three) kinds of models, namely: the Islamization of Science, Islamic of Scientification  and Islamic Science. Islamization of Science is the model that made the discovery that the majority of modern science in the West, can be in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Islamic of Scientification is trying to find the basics of science to the teachings of Islam. While the Islamic Science seeks to make the Qur'an and  as-Sunna as a base construction science. Of the three kinds of models, Agus Purwanto choose three clusters, namely the Islamic Science. Islamic Science is a science-based construction revelation. In this case, Agus Purwanto offer kauniyah 800 verses in the Qur'an to do the analysis of the text, which is then followed by observation and experimentation natural phenomena directly by using the scientific method

    The background of research is the phenomena of madrasah decreasing in West Java to develop its capacity in the effectivity. The program of SNIP MDC in Effective School Improvement (ESI) gave encouraging and training to its effectivity. The purposes of this research are: 1) analyzing training effectivity of ESI; and 2) analyzing training relevancy toward its capacity. The research used qualitative approach by descriptive method.  The source of data is madrasah as unit of analysis (such as principal, treasurer, and parent commitee), by techniques of interview, observation, checklist, and documentation. The conclusion are: 1) ESI training has good effectivity. That was showed by increasing post test based pre test, and  knowledge increasing by good effect size; and 2) The increasing of relevance and effective has high index more than 80% and that showed by credit program fulfillment at 85,35%
