    Junior High School Education System in Islamic Boarding School Environment Area

    Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have played an essential role as institutions to spread Islam and make changes in society for the better. It can be viewed from the education system to advance the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to analyze the education system in the Galih Agung Private Junior High School Darularafah Raya Islamic Boarding School. This study uses qualitative research with a naturalistic qualitative approach. This study's data collection was done using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Informants in this study were Ustadz and Ustadzah, who served at the Darularafah Raya Islamic Boarding School and several students and dyah. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results indicate that: 1) The education system at Galih Agung Private Junior High School consists of educational objectives, conditions of educators and students, curriculum, and facilities/ infrastructure. The supporting factors are as follows: Competent educators, wise caregivers, adequate facilities and infrastructure, a comfortable boarding school environment, and improving the quality of extracurricular activities, while the inhibiting factors are: Lack of awareness of students as a student, not accustomed to discipline and independence, and students feel lazy

    Implementation of Block System Learning in Al Hikmah Penajam Integrated Islamic High School

    This study aims to describe the learning activities at Al Hikmah Penajam Integrated Islamic High School, which implements a block learning system. The block system is a process of student interaction with the teacher and learning resources by grouping material, grouping time, and implementing schedules. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with sources from school principals, teachers, and students. In addition, researchers also made direct observations to gather data related to block system learning which was carried out at SMA IT Al Hikmah and studied data documentation related to information on the implementation of the learning block system. The data analysis technique is interactive data analysis, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that learning using the 2013 curriculum with the implementation of this block learning system is 2 to 3 meetings (1 meeting consisting of 4 hours of lessons x 45 minutes) combined into one session with 8 to 12 hours of lessons x 45 minutes a week. This calculation is based on the accumulated hours per syllabus. Obstacles in implementing learning are the application of blocks, conditions for students, sources of teacher background, and student learning media, including books, wi-fi, and LCDs.

    From Clash to Dialogue of Civilizations Finding Common Ground Between Civilizations Islamic and the West

    Civilization built on the principle of religion is certainly returned to its basic character, then what happens is not a clash of civilizations, but instead is the process of filling each other, complementing and influencing each other. In this framework, what must be built is to open space for the creation of dialogue between civilizations in order to fight for the meeting point of Western civilization and Islam globally, which also paves the way for the realization of mutual tolerance. The method used library research, collection techniques in this study, first select documents or literature related to research studies, secondary sources of data in this study are books that support the purpose about discussion of the dialogue of civilizations looking for common ground between Islamic civilization and the underlying west of Samuel P. Huntington's thesis. Procedures and stages of research that will be carried out by researchers in general there are three stages, namely the stage of preparation, implementation, reporting. In conducting data analysis, the author will use descriptive analysis These findings can mean a discussion about: 1) sketches of Islam's relationship with the West, 2) Islam and the West: conflicts or interests?, 3) dialogue of Islamic and Western civilizations: could it be?, 4) implications for diverse tolerance in Indonesia. So that the dialogue of Islamic and Western civilizations will be more able to understand the existence of ritual differences and produce mutual understanding and interpretation of diversity in the contemporary world

    The Footprint and sustainability of Private Higher Education Institutions in South Africa

    The current Private Higher Education Institution (PHEI) landscape in South Africa is developing rapidly, with over ninety private tertiary institutions registered with the Council for Higher Education (CHE). However, stakeholder perceptions of these PHEIs are generally negative, primarily due to the negative perceptions of the qualification obtained from the private institutions by both parents and students and questions around the sustainability of the institutions in the long run. Media reports, lack of Department of Education (DHET) support and funding, and minimum, if any, marketing and advertising from the PHEI are factors cited for these firmly entrenched perceptions from the general public. Both emerging and international markets drove the article, countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, India and Brazil; not as a comparative study, but more as a literature review on how tertiary education is managed in the private sector in these countries. In addition, developing countries and emerging markets needed to be considered in light of their experience in sustaining private education entities. The subsequent investigation of these markets proved invaluable in terms of providing similarities and, in some instances, huge differences, which contributed to establishing the critical drivers for sustaining PHEIs in South Africa. Knowing which dimensions the branding of a PHEI should focus on nullifying the negative perceptions associated with a PHEI is paramount

    BMT UGT SIDOGIRI Cabang pembantu Prenduan merupakan sebuah lembaga ekonomi masyarakat yang berupaya mengembangkan usaha-usahanya dengan memberikan pembiayaan kepada masyarakat yang membutuhkannya. Di mana salah satunya pembiayaan kepada anggota tersebut pembiayaan jual beli yang menggunakan akad murabahah. Dewan Syariah Nasional Majelis Ulama Indonesia (DSN-MUI) telah menfatwakan murabahahmelalui Fatwa DSN-MUI-No.04/DSN-MUI/IV/2000 tentang Murabahah: Murabahah adalah menjual suatu barang dengan menegaskan harga belinya kepada pembeli, dan pembeli membayarnya dengan harga lebih sebagai laba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaplikasian akad murabahahyang diterapkan pada BMT UGT SIDOGRI Cabang pembantu Prenduan dengan fatwa DSN-MUI. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode pengumpulan data kualitatif yaitu metode dengan melakukan surveyke lapangan langsung dengan sumber-sumber data yangada dan teknik wawancara (interview) tanya jawab kepada pihak yang berwewenang. Teknik informan menggunakan purposive sampling. Sedangkan analisa data menggunakan kasus tunggal (single case design) dengan metode analisis data yang di perkenalkan oleh Miles dan Hiberman aktivitas dalam analisis data, yaitu data reduction, data display,dan conclusion drawing/ verification.Hasil dari penelitian ini Pihak BMT mewakilkan langsung kepada anggotanya untuk membeli barang yang akan dibelinya dimana dalam prosedur akad murabahah bil wakalah masihbelum sesuai dengan Fatwa DSN-MUI dimana dalam pembelian barang pihak BMT UGT Sidogiri Cabang Pembantu Prenduan mewakilkan kepada anggotanya padahal hal tersebut merupakan objek akad. Dimana praktek ini belum memenuhi rukun jual beli murabahahkarena secara prinsip barang tersebut belum menjadi milik pihak BMT SidogiriCabang Pembantu Prenduan. Dari ketentuan poin 4 “Bank membeli barang yang diperlukan nasabah atas nama bank sendiri, dan pembelian ini harus sah dan bebas riba”

    Reformulation of the Epistemology of Islamic Education: Examine Noeng Muhadjir's Thoughts

    This article shows that revelation is a barometer of the truth of science, as can be concluded from Noeng Muhadjir's thoughts. Any scientific product cannot be accepted if it is in apparent contradiction with the qat'i nash. This article is classified as qualitative research that uses a library research model. The primary data source is the works of Noeng Muhadjir, especially the article entitled, "Epistemology of Islamic Education The Theoretical-Philosophical Approach", contained in the book Reformulation of Islamic Education Philosophy, and "Education in Perspective The Koran: A Micro Review”, contained in the book Education in the Perspective of the Koran. Other works are used as support. The method used in this paper is discourse analysis. The conclusion that can be drawn from the discussion results is that Noeng Muhajir takes the basis as an epistemological basis for Islamic education on the philosophy of metaphysical realism (popper) and phenomenology (ponty) as postulates of anthology and axiology. Noeng Muhadjir's ideas were driven by the spirit of bringing together science and revelation while maintaining the scientific characteristics of science and the absolute truth of revelation

    Islamic education is actually an effort to realize the spirit of Islam, as an effort to create a life that is imbued with Islamic values. Then, with this Islamic spirit, the joints of life in society are built. The purpose of Islamic education is the formation of noble morals, preparation for the life of the world and the hereafter, cultivating a scientific spirit in lessons, preparing professional students as well as maintaining spirituality and religion. The author interprets the letter as-Sajdah verse 5, that in fact the essence of management is regularity. Everything has been arranged by Allah according to its level, however humans do not just stand idly by. Because the essence of this regular is how all people play their part in life. There are many things a person can do in his life to achieve his life goals. In the process of getting to the goal, there will be interactions among humans. The manager in an Islamic education institution is the principal of the school. The principal has the role and responsibility to plan and manage all activities in the school. The management is carried out by involving all educators and education staff, so that the learning process can be maximized. This action involves all educators and education personnel in schools, in accordance with their respective main tasks and functions. There is no easy achievement without going through the stages of management

    This study discusses the relationship between Islamic education and science at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, an essential educational institution. Islamic religious education directed at schools, especially Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, is a procedure to enforce the basics of faith and devotion to students. Strengthening science and technology allows students to do various things to realize multiple needs in their lives. This study aims to determine the relationship between Islamic education and modern science in madrasas. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collection technique used is a literature study. The data study technique uses data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the integrated model is a model of integrating science and Islamic religious education (PAI) in the learning process. The existence of a link between the relationship between Islamic Religious Education and science at madrasah can provide new insights for students about the importance of science and religion in religious and social life

    The Artiel examines the strategy of understanding worship in exceptional children. This research was conducted at the Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Sambas, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. This study focuses on the aspects of how the strategies used in Islamic religious education teachers provide understanding to children in foreign schools. This research uses a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis of this study conclude that the strategies used by Islamic religious education teachers include accustoming congregational prayer and accustoming good morals in the school environment and at home, Islamic religious education teachers report learning outcomes to parents, Islamic religious education teachers provide good examples of students, Islamic religious education teachers run the principal's program, Islamic religious education teachers provide mutual supervision of students in the teaching and learning process
