Prognosis of Complications at Surgical Treatment of Benign Parotid Tumors
The development of clinical medicine to a certain extent depends on the level of prognosis of surgical patients. In prognosis, the method of regression analysis is widely used. Prognostic scales help to assess the risk of complications in patients after surgery, which allows the use of relatively more effective diagnostic and therapeutic measures. The aim of the study was to develop the integral mathematical characteristics of the prognosis of the outcome at surgical treatment of benign parotid tumors, adequately describing the pathological process. When constructing a mathematical prognostic model, its parameters were subject to the requirement of their efficiency above ??95% according to the t-criterion. The purpose of the mathematical modeling was to statistically adequately link the complications of surgical treatment of parotid tumors with clinical and diagnostic data. The developed mathematical model made it possible, on the basis of significant clinical and diagnostic data in patients, to identify prognostic factors for the development of paresis of the mimic muscles of the face in the surgical treatment of benign parotid tumors. Based on the studied correlation analysis, the significant (??0.05) clinical prognostic factors for the development of paresis of the mimic muscles of the face after the operation of partial superficial parotidectomy were revealed: gender, patient’s age, cytological result, sonoelastographic strain-ratio value, computer tomography or magnetic resonance imaging of tumor size. Also, the prognostic factors for the development of paresis of the mimic muscles of the face during the parotidectomy and the extracapsular dissection of the lower pole of the parotid gland were determined. In the result the certificate of the official registration of the computer program was received. The possibility of prognosis of the complications of surgical treatment in patients with parotid tumors has also been developed in order to reasonably carry out more effective therapeutic and rehabilitation measures
The Design, Practice and Effects of a SPOC
The 2022 “Frontier of Educational Technology” summer school was held by the Department of Educational Technology, Graduate School of Education, Peking University from July 4th 2022 to July 8th 2022. In order to ensure the learning quality, a small private online course was designed for the first time. A series of learning activities such as ice-breaking trip, expert lectures, group discussions, and group presentation were carried out with the help of the course management system, live broadcast platform and social media groups. We analyzed the data recorded by the course management system and found that more than half of the students participated in all learning activities, and the final completion rate of the summer school is as high as 89.86%. An online questionnaire was used to examine students’ subjective responses to the pedagogy and course performance. The results showed that the average score of almost all the questions in the questionnaire is greater than 4.3 points (out of 5.0), indicating that most students are satisfied or very satisfied with this pedagogy. Suggestions for improvement and future expectations are put forward, and can provide a reference for the full-online SPOC practice and research that are being widely carried out around the world
Analysis of Success Factors of E-Learning
E-learning is being considered one crucial method of education, and various models and methods are being used to test its implementation and accomplishments. Among many, the DeLone MacLean information success (IS) success model is the most widely used in the assessment of e-learning systems’ success evaluation. The aim of this research was to study the effectiveness of the platforms used in e-learning at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. In this study, we used the D&M IS Success Model to examine whether e-learning can be a successful transmitter of knowledge. Our intention was to assess the success of e-learning by the D&M IS Success Model, define the impact of current e-learning practice on individuals, and identify the factors that affect the quality. The survey covered 685 undergraduate and graduate students of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. Results demonstrated that high-quality systems and information upsurge the individual impact. In addition, increased and continuous usage of e-learning systems plays a mediating role between system quality and individual impact. To ensure the continuous use and effectiveness of e-learning systems, special attention should be paid to factors such as service quality, systems’ simplicity and flexibility, and customer satisfaction
FPGA based Speech Separation using IPD Features
The problem of speaker separation is an established field in science and goes back to the cocktail party problem defined in 1953. For decades, methods have been improved and developed, but the computational complexity is rarely considered just as the possibility to use hardware acceleration mechanisms. For this reason, this paper addresses the research question: how speaker separation can be realized on embedded systems by exploiting parallelization and intelligent hardware/software partitioning. For this purpose, a concept is described which uses an FPGA for parallelization to separate a speech signal from an intended direction providing a constant throughput rate. The implementation results show the independence of FPGA resources except BRAM size, proving the scalability of the concept, just as the real-time capabilities
Structural stability of Polylactide rope drums with a hybrid Gyroid-spokes infill structure, manufactured through fused filament fabrication
Additive manufacturing (AM) offers greater design freedom than conventional manufacturing processes. AM allows for components with complex infill structures of e. g. triply periodic-minimal surfaces (TPMS) that lead to significant weight reduction. Nevertheless, AM is mainly used in specialised engineering branches such as aerospace and medical engineering. This is due to high system cost and the high energy costs of the machines used, which utilise selective laser sintering (SLS), laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), or stereolithography (SLA). Fused filament fabrication (FFF) can offer cheaper and more energy-efficient machines. A series of tensile tests with FFF rope drum bodies made from polylactide (PLA) aims to investigate the stability of FFF machine elements. The test specimens possess a novel, hybrid infill structure comprised of straight spokes and a TPMS-gyroid surface. Compared to previous investigations, the specific breaking force – relative to the test specimens’ weight – increased by up to 159%. Whereas the infill density affects tensile strength as well as deformation, the infill distribution between the TPMS and spokes part of said hybrid structure affects especially the deformation behaviour. The results show that FFF machine elements such as the tested drum bodies have a realistic perspective for use in future products with regard to static strength
Application of the SMART Method in Teaching the Module "Scientific Education" in Students
Rapidly developing computer information technology is bringing significant changes in all aspects of our daily lives. It is no secret to all of us that at present society cannot be imagined without Information Communication Technologies. In general, the development of each country can be judged by the introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the industry. The innovative activity of pedagogues is the main factor in the reform of the education system. One of the most important aspects of modern education is the achievement of the innovative character of the pedagogical activity. The more innovation there is in the pedagogical activity, the better understanding of the teacher\u27s own experiment can be achieved. In it, the teacher participates widely in creating, applying and improving innovation as the subject and organizer of the innovation activity. They seek to analyze the content in science and the essence of changes in knowledge and traditions. This article highlights the importance of using the "mental method" in teaching the" scientific education " module in the development of innovative activities of students of higher educational institutions in an informed environment
