    Comparative Story Drift Analysis of High Rise Building Structure between X-Braced Frame and Two Story X-Braced Frame

    The high-rise building of steel structures requires strengthening system so that buildings are capable of carrying earthquake loads that may occur. Strengthening of steel structure building can be applied by providing stiffness of the structure in the form of mounting lateral stiffening system using eccentrically braced frame or concetrically braced frame. The purpose of this study is to analyze performance of story drift of the building structure in the form of horizontal drift values due to earthquake load on the building structure using the stiffening lateral x-braced frame and the two story x-braced frame. The research method using load of dynamic earthquake response spectrum analysis in accordance to SNI 03-1726-2012. The building models have 12 floors, located in Lampung city and was planned behave as an Intermediate Moment Resisting Steel Frame (IMRSF). Building model was designed and anlyzed using ETABS Version 9.7. This study shows story drift in type two story x-braced frame is smaller than the x-braced frame

    Simulation of Electric Field Distribution on Meniscus of Electrospray with Zinc Oxide Material

    Electrospray system had attracted attention of many researchers. It is due to easy to yield uniform thin film and possible for thin film mass production. The important parameters of electrospray process for getting uniform thin film are electric field distribution, surface substrate treatment and solvent properties. In this work, we observed electric field distribution on meniscus. Numerical work has carried out on this work. The material on meniscus used zinc oxide liquid properties. Voltage and walking distance between nozzle and substrate are the most important parameter to adjust electric field distribution. The decreasing walking distance with constant voltage yields increasing electric field distribution on meniscus. On vice versa, the increasing walking distance yields decreasing electric field distribution on meniscus. Increasing and decreasing voltage yields increasing and decreasing electric field distribution on meniscus, respectively

    In towards industry 4.0, the autodrive vehicle is needed to give people relaxed driving. There are many research in autodrive vehicle such as waymo-the Google driving car project and Tesla Self Driving Autopilot. In This paper is presented about Autodrive Land Vehicle (ALV) control by using PID. The autodrive Land vehicle can drive autonomously by using GPS Information such as Latitude and longitude to navigate in an area. The vehicle is controled to follow the given waypoint that set by operator on ground control station. PID control is used to control steering of the vehicle’s front wheel and to control the heading of the vehicle. From the Implementation result, it is obtained that the vehicle could track the given waypoint with small error

    Aplikasi Penggunaan Serah Wangi Sebagai Bioaditif Alami untuk Karakterasi Unjuk Kerja dari Mesin Diesel

    The consumption of diesel fuel in Indonesia is increasing every year, one way to overcome this problem is to use natural bioaditive in the form of essential oils found in Indonesia. Essential oils used in this study are fragrant lemongrass because fragrant lemongrass contains carboxylic compounds (-COOH) [1,2,3]. With the aim of improving engine performance and reducing fuel consumption. This research was conducted by mixing fragrant citronella oil with diesel oil with a percentage of 1%, 0.5% and 0.1% of the total volume. Diesel engines are operated with variations in loading 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000 W at a constant engine speed of 1500 rpm. The variables measured and calculated in this experiment are power, torque, Break Mean Effective Pressure (BMEP), Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC). The results showed that adding citronella oil to diesel fuel with a percentage of 1%, 0.5% and 0.1% significantly reduced fuel consumption by 15.5%, 3.6% and 2.6% respectively. The maximum reduction in fuel consumption reaches 0.055 liters / hour at 200W loading with a bioaditive level of 0.1%. The next study planned is to mix clove oil and citronella oil as bioaditive so that it is expected to reduce fuel consumption and engine corrosion.     Analysis Image-Based Automated 3D Crack Detection for Post-disaster Bridge Assessment in Flyover Mall Boemi Kedaton

    Recovery efforts following a disaster can be slow and painstaking work, and potentially put responders in harm's way. A system which helps identify defects in critical building elements (e.g., concrete columns) before responders must enter a structure can save lives. In this paper we propose a system, centered around an image based three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction method and a new 3D crack detection algorithm. The image-based method is capable of detecting and analyzing surface damages in 3D. We also demonstrate how the robotics can be used to gather the images from which the reconstruction is created, further reducing the risk to responders. In this regard, image-based 3D reconstructions represent a convenient method of creating 3D models because most robotic platforms can carry a lightweight camera payload. Additionally, the proposed 3D crack detection algorithm also provides the advantage of being able to operate on 3D mesh models regardless of their data collection source. Our experimental results show that 3D crack detection algorithm performs well constructions, successfully identifying cracks, reconstructing 3D profiles, and measuring geometrical characteristics on damaged elements and not finding any cracks on intact ones

    Spatial Analysis of Seismic Hazard based on Dynamical Characteristics of Soil in Kota Baru, South Lampung

    Kota Baru, a new capital Lampung province location, planned and developed since 2012, will be a densely populated in near time. The province located in near Semangko fault, southern of Sumatra Island, is a vulnerable area to earthquake. Seismometer was deployed for 15 points in Kota Baru for recording mictrotremor. The signal was analyzed by HVSR method produced fundamental frequency f0, amplitude A0, and seismic vulnerability index Kg. The range of frequency value is about 0.56 Hz to 1.46 Hz. The range of amplitude value is about 2.3 to 6.17. There is linear relation between Kg and the damage caused by earthquake. The Kota Baru classification of seismic hazard map was generated by plotting the value of Kg. The area at the northeast of Kota Baru is more risky to be inhabited because it has higher value of Kg. The more safety area located in near T7 and T15 because it has lower value of Kg than theothers

    Feed laboratory is a facility that guarantees feed quality in the feedlot industry. But the existence of this laboratory has not been fully considered both in terms of facilities and layout that ease the movement of workers. This research aims to analyze machine and raw material properties in the feed laboratory, to find total closeness rating between facilities according the need and  designing the layout of facilities in the laboratory that can streamline the material flow. The problem is how to design facility layout in feed laboratory which has different tool and machine characteristics in limited space, how to plan material flow that can minimize work flow. The method used is computerized relationship layout planning (CORELAP). The result obtained is the design of the laboratory layout by comparing the optimum distance on the inter-work track. The calculation value from allocation relationship diagram showed the biggest total closseness rating is the testing room. From the calculation of the distance difference layout design, it is known that the second alternative provides a better solution with the largest distance difference of 41.52 for space with condition should be close and the distance difference of -31.21 for space with the condition should not be close.     Mitigation of structural failure can be based on analyzing the behavioral of the structure by giving a nonlinear dynamic earthquake load of time history. Because Indonesia doesn’t have any data of time history record, it is necessary to match the time history data with the design spectrum response. Gedung E Itera is modeled on reinforced concrete structures with open frame models like as built drawing. Then can be evaluated the structural behavior that is like mass participation, plastic design, displacement, rotation, and base shear with time history load that will be levelling (levelling time history). With levelling the time history load , it can be found the first structural part that collapses and the maximum load that can be retained by the structure for one of the mitigation effort. The analysis uses a nonlinear dynamic time history analysis with the most dominant combination is earthquake combination.     Hedonic Test Method for Measuring Instant Pindang Seasoning Powder Preferences

    Instant seasoning for cooking are commonly known by people who want something practical. Pindang is a typical food of Lampung and South Sumatra Province, consisting of various spices and herbs. Instant pindang seasoning powder made with foam mat drying method using 3 varations of foam additives. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of taste, aroma, and color of instant pindang seasoning powder made with three variations of foam additives, namely 5% (w/w), 10% (w/w), and 15% (w/w). The hedonic test for instant pindang seasoning powder were carried out on 35 panelists. Panelists were faced with 3 samples with 3 different sample numbers. Panelists were asked to assess how much preference for seasoning products using hedonic scale. The hedonic test results showed that, with the addition of 15% (w/w) foam is preferred in terms of color. As for aroma and taste, there were no significant differences between the three products.
