Full text linkJob description or work flows is an important thing that needed in every company or organization. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of job description on civil servants performance in Tembilahan subdistrict office .Independent variable of this research is job description, and dependent variable is performance. Population of this research are 30 Civil Servants workers in Tembilahan subdistrict office.Sampling technique used is total sampling or census. Data analysis used is linear regression. Theresult showed that there is significance influence between job description against civil servants performance in Tembilahan Subdistrict office with the number of adjusted R square 72 percent, means the other 28 percent of employees performance influences by another factors.

American Humor used in an American Comedy Movie The Boss
Full text linkThe research aims to describe the functions of humor used in an American comedy movie The Boss. The subject of the research was American comedy movie The Boss. Descriptive qualitative method was used to conduct the research. Data collection was done through library research and documentation. Data analysis was done through identification, coding, classification and description. The researcher found several findings. Supported by Meyers theory of joke, there are 6 functions of jokes found in the movie such as to insult someone, to express anger, to tease someone, to relieve tension, to get attention, and to amuse others. The dominant function was differentiation particularly to insult and to express anger 21 times, the second was clarification particularly to relieve tension humorous lines and amuse others 15 times, the third was enforcement particularly to tease 18 times, and the last was identification particularly to relieve tension and to get attention 27 times. These functions were also analyzed and discriminated by different setting and participant based on formality and participants distance. According to the analysis, most jokes occurred in informal situation with intimate relationship among the participants and functioned to tease someone and to relieve tension. This finding also proves that American humor is expressed with more slapstick and vulgarity as the characteristic of American humor used in daily communication.

Full text linkThe purpose of this study is to analyze the contemporary poetry by Sutardji Calzoum Bachri with a stylistic approach. This research is content analysis based research. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Results and discussion in this study found the elements that stand out in the development of the concept of estessstis on contemporary poetry is diction and style of language. Poets are free to play the words with the aim of beautifying poetry poems. The language style used is hyperbolic language style, repetition.

Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif pada Materi Cahaya Siswa Kelas Delapan SMP Xaverius Kota Lubuklinggau
No full text The purpose of this research is to describe students creative thinking ability in light matter, to know the students creative thinking ability in light matter when viewed from cognitive observation and affective observation, to know the difficulties experienced by students in achieving the indicators of creative thinking ability and determination solution to overcome student difficulties in achieving the indicators of creative thinking ability of class 8 SMP Xaverius Kota Lubuklinggau. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative, with case study research type. The subject of this research is all students of class 8 SMP Xaverius Kota Lubuklinggau. Data completion technique in this research is using technique triangulation that is cognitive observation technique, affective observation, and interview. Data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative analysis. The result showed that students thinking ability of class 8 junior Xaverius Kota Lubuklinggau still less creative 6,68 percent based on result of cognitive observation which was completed with interview result and creative enough category 57,74 percent result of affective observation. the recommendations that can be submitted in this research is the teacher will give equal opportunity to all students to be able to develop the ability of creative thinking in the learning process

Faktor Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Karyawan pada Perusahaan Sinco Jaya Abadi
No full textThis study aims to examine the effect of Benefits, Incentives and Discipline on Employee Performance at company Sinco Jaya Abadi. The population in this research is all employees of company Sinco Jaya Abadi which amount 45 people. Since the total population is less than 100, the sampling technique used is censusor total sampling which using the entire population as sample. This research uses multiple linear regression method through statistical T test and model test F and Coefficient of determinant. The results showed that Allowance, Incentives and Discipline had partially significant influence on employee performance. From this research is expected that company can maintain and increase Allowance, Incentive and discipline so that employee performance of employees can increase.

Teaching Reading by Using Inquiry Based Learning Approach to The First Semester of English Education Program
Full text linkThe objective of this study was to find out whether or not it was significantly effective to use Inquiry Based Learning in teaching reading to first semester of English Education Program . In this study, the writer proposed two hypotheses. They were null hypothesis Ho and alternative hypothesis Ha. The method applied was pre experimental with one group pre test posttest design. The population of this study was all of first semester of English Education Program which consisted of 45 students. The sample was taken through cluster random sampling. Which consisted of 20 students. The data were collected by means of test consisting 20 items of multiple choices. The data obtained were analyzed through three techniques 1 Individual Score, and 2 Matched t test. The results of this study shows that the students mean score in the pre-test was 60.13 and those in the post-test was 75.25. The result of matched t test was 5.25, which was higher than t table value 1.725 of 20 with 95 percent significant level for one tailed test. Therefore, the null hypothesis Ho was rejected and the alternative hypothesis Ha was accepted. It means that it was significantly effective to use Based Learning Approach in teaching reading to first semester of English Education Program

Full text linkThe research on financial factors and its effect to dividend policy of Company which is listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange have been carried out by several researchers, but the results showed inconsistent. This research aims to test the influence of liquidity ratio, profitability ratio, market ratio, and its effect on dividend policy of Cigarette Company. The liquidity ratio proxied by Current Ratio, profitability ratio proxied by Net Profit Margin, market ratio proxied by Earning Per Share, and dividend policy proxied by Dividend Per Share. The sample used are 3 companies, listed in IDX period of 2001-2014. Data used in this study is secondary data by using financial statements. The Data analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result showed that net profit margin has a significant effect on dividend per share whereas current ratio and earnings per share has no significant effect on dividend per share of cigarette company which listed in IDX period of 2004-2014.
