The Effect of Religiosity on Life Satisfaction Among Students in the Faculty of Teacher Training
Get PDFDespite the widespread Islamization in Indonesia, a corresponding increase in life satisfaction among its population has not been clearly observed. This study investigates the impact of religiosity on life satisfaction among students in the Faculty of Teacher Training at the Islamic State University of North Sumatra. Employing a quantitative, cross-sectional design, the research was conducted between October and November 2023. The study population comprised 7.801 students, from which a sample of 380 was selected. The primary variables examined were religiosity (independent variable) and life satisfaction (dependent variable). Data were analyzed using both univariate and multivariate methods: descriptive statistics for univariate analysis and linear regression for multivariate analysis. All statistical procedures were performed using JASP software, version 17. Findings indicate that religiosity significantly influences life satisfaction among students in the Islamic education faculty (p < 0.001). Students with high levels of religiosity were found to be 6.730 times more likely to report greater life satisfaction. These results suggest that religiosity is a strong predictor of life satisfaction and that the regression model provides a robust explanation of the observed data. Nonetheless, the model may not capture all contributing factors, and future research should explore additional variables that may affect life satisfaction. Effect of Ankle Strategy Exercise on Balance Improvement and Fall Risk Reduction in the Elderly
Get PDFOlder adults face a heightened risk of falling both indoors and outdoors due to age-related declines in balance. One contributing factor is weakness or instability in the ankle joint, which can significantly impair postural control and lead to limitations in daily activities. As balance deteriorates, functional capacity in the lower limbs declines, further hindering mobility and independence. Enhancing ankle strength and stability is therefore essential to improving balance and reducing fall risk in this population. This study investigates the impact of Strategic Ankle Exercise on balance and falling risk among older adults. Employing a one-group pre-test and post-test experimental design, the study involved 33 participants who met the inclusion criteria and were selected through total sampling. Balance was assessed using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. Paired sample t-tests conducted via SPSS revealed a significant improvement in dynamic balance following the intervention: BBS scores increased from 44 to 50.8, while TUG scores decreased from 15.5 to 10.1 (p < 0.001). A correlation analysis indicated a strong negative relationship between changes in BBS and TUG scores (r = -0.86; p < 0.001), suggesting that improvements in balance were associated with reduced fall risk Strategic Ankle Exercise emerges as an effective, evidence-based intervention for enhancing balance and minimizing fall risk in older adults. These findings support the integration of this program into geriatric care strategies. Combination of Oketani and Rolling Massage to Increase Breast Milk Production
Get PDFBreast milk is the primary source of nutrition essential for infant growth and development. However, However, many mothers experience difficulties in breast milk production after childbirth, including first-time mothers lacking breastfeeding experience and those who have previously given birth. Several factors influence lactation, with breast care being a key determinant. Despite its importance, many postpartum mothers lack knowledge about proper breast care, leading to insufficient milk production that fails to meet their infants' needs. A combination of Oketani and rolling massage has been suggested as an effective intervention for enhancing milk production. The Oketani and rolling massage method is a specialized breast management technique known to improve milk production without causing discomfort. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Oketani and rolling massage on increasing breast milk production among postpartum mothers at the Bengkulu City health center. The research employed a quasi-experimental design (pre-posttest with a control group), involving a sample of 60 postpartum mothers—30 in the intervention group and 30 in the control group. Breast milk production was measured before and after the intervention over five consecutive days. The findings, analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test, indicated a statistically significant effect of the intervention on breast milk production (ρ = 0.000 < α 0.05). The Influence of Green Product and Green Advertising on Purchasing Decisions: A Case Study of The Body Shop
Get PDFThis study analyzes the influence of sustainable products and environmentally friendly advertising on consumer purchasing decisions at The Body Shop in the Medan Johor District. A quantitative method was used with a population of 154,096 people. Based on the Slovin formula with a tolerance of 10%, 100 respondents were obtained through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. Analysis was conducted using SPSS 27, including validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination R². The results indicate that sustainable products have a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions. Eco-friendly advertising was also found to have a significant positive influence on consumer purchasing decisions. Both independent variables simultaneously and significantly influence purchasing decisions. Practical Implications: Cosmetics companies need to optimize sustainability elements in product development and promotional strategies. Focusing on environmental value communication can enhance consumer appeal and drive purchases. Pemberdayaan Mahasiswa Melalui Program Mahasiswa Penting (Peduli Stunting) melalui Edukasi Pencegahan Stunting bagi Remaja di SMA/SMK Kota Medan
Get PDFStunting remains a major public health issue in Indonesia. Preventive efforts should not only focus on toddlers but must also target adolescents as future parents, equipping them with adequate knowledge from an early age. This community service program aimed to empower university students through the "Mahasiswa Penting" (Students Who Care About Stunting) program, positioning them as educational agents to deliver stunting prevention information to high school and vocational school students in Medan City. The activity was conducted through training sessions for students as educational facilitators and the implementation of interactive health education sessions in schools. The materials covered included an introduction to stunting and the importance of adequate nutrition during adolescence. This program aimed to broaden adolescents’ understanding of stunting, including its causes and how they can actively contribute to its prevention. It also sought to enhance students' communication skills in delivering health information. The activity was carried out in three high schools/vocational schools in Medan, reaching a total of 71 adolescent participants representing each school. The results showed an increase in knowledge, with the average score rising from 52.67 to 77.74. This indicates a significant improvement in adolescents’ awareness of stunting and its risk factors. The program demonstrated that involving university students in stunting prevention can be an effective and sustainable promotive and preventive strategy. It is expected that this initiative can be expanded and replicated more broadly through cross-sectoral collaboration.Keywords: Stunting, University Students, Health Education, Adolescent

No full textDari masyarakat hingga pemuka agama, Moderasi beragama menjadi fenomena yang marak belakangan ini. Ini ada hubungannya dengan iklim keagamaan di Indonesia yang sedikit meresahkan. Ini adalah contoh radikalisme agama, karena polemik agama yang meningkat berdampak signifikan pada unsur kerukunan. Situasi ini mendorong berkembang paham moderasi beragama. Moderasi beragama dapat di definisikan sebagai praktik keagamaan yang seimbang dari pada berlebihan. Namun, sering berjalannya waktu definisi moderasi beragama menjadi lebih kompleks. Dalam penelitiannya ini, peneliti menggunakan metode tematik (Maudhu‟i) yaitu melakukan takhrij Hadis mengenai moderasi bergama, lalu dilakukan kritik sanad dan kritik matan. Kemudian menghubungan dengan konteks-konteks yang terkait dengan masalah yang dikaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Hadis tidak mengajak umat Islam untuk melakukan kekerasan, ekstrem dan berlebih-lebihan dalam beragama begitu juga dengan Al-Qur‟an. Al-Qur‟an dan Hadis menawarkan bahwa memahami dan mengamalkan agama harus melalu jalur keseimbangan dan berada di jalan tengah sehingga agama terkesan ramah, lemah lembut dan kasih sayang. Bahkan keseimbangan merupakan suatu keniscayaan termasuk pada hukumalam sebagai harmoninya kehidupan. Get PDFThe Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) plays a strategic role in ensuring that Islamic insurance products and operations comply with Sharia principles. This article aims to analyze the role of DPS in overseeing and implementing Sharia compliance in Islamic insurance, the challenges faced, and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of supervision. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review approach. The findings indicate that DPS plays a crucial role as a Sharia compliance supervisor and policy controller within an Islamic insurance company. However, challenges remain, such as the lack of competent and independent human resources, which can hinder the optimal implementation of Sharia compliance. Therefore, strengthening regulations and improving competencies are necessary to enhance Sharia compliance within the Islamic insurance industry.

Get PDF Foto prewedding merupakan kegiatan dokumentasi antara calon pengantin sebelum pernikahan yang saat ini menjadi tren di masyarakat Indonesia. Namun, Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) melalui fatwa Nomor 03/KF/MUI-SU/2011 menyatakan bahwa foto prewedding yang melibatkan pose berpegangan tangan, berpelukan, atau bentuk interaksi fisik lainnya sebelum akad nikah hukumnya haram karena mengandung unsur ikhtilat (campur baur antara lawan jenis yang bukan mahram) dan khalwat (berdua-duaan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana praktik foto prewedding di kalangan masyarakat serta pandangan ulama di Kota Banda Aceh terhadap hukum pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini merupakan studi lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dengan masyarakat yang melakukan foto prewedding, serta wawancara mendalam dengan para ulama yang tergabung dalam Majelis Permusyawaratan Ulama (MPU) Banda Aceh. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-kualitatif dengan merangkum temuan-temuan lapangan serta menyesuaikannya dengan ketentuan hukum Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik foto prewedding dilakukan seolah sudah sah sebagai suami istri, termasuk dengan pose-pose yang bersentuhan fisik. Sebagian masyarakat beranggapan bahwa foto prewedding menjadi bagian penting dari prosesi pernikahan modern. Sementara itu, para ulama menegaskan bahwa praktik tersebut tidak sesuai syariat dan cenderung mendekati perbuatan yang diharamkan

PENERAPAN TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM) DALAM MENCAPAI KEPUASAN SISWA
Get PDFAbstract: Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management concept of educational institutions oriented towards improving quality through a continuous improvement process, focusing on customer satisfaction, and full involvement of all elements of the organization. Implementing TQM in the context of education involves harmonious collaboration between various internal components, such as principals, teachers, and staff, as well as the support of external parties, including school committees. This collaboration aims to provide optimal service to students as the main customer. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of TQM carried out by school principals, teachers, and school committees to achieve student satisfaction. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that SMAN 1 Rogojampi adopts TQM by integrating the visionary leadership of the principal, the active contribution of teachers, and the strategic support of the school committee. The implementation of TQM at SMAN 1 Rogojampi is guided by the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard, which is a reference to achieve customer satisfaction effectively and sustainably.Keywords: Total Quality Management (TQM), the principal teacher's School Committee, student satisfaction.Abstrak Total Quality Management (TQM) adalah sebuah konsep pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kualitas melalui proses perbaikan berkesinambungan, fokus terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, dan keterlibatan penuh seluruh elemen organisasi. Implementasi TQM dalam konteks pendidikan melibatkan kolaborasi harmonis antara berbagai komponen internal, seperti kepala sekolah, guru, dan staf, serta dukungan pihak eksternal, termasuk komite sekolah. Kerja sama ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan yang optimal kepada siswa sebagai pelanggan utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penerapan TQM yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah dalam upaya mencapai kepuasan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAN 1 Rogojampi mengadopsi TQM dengan mengintegrasikan kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah, kontribusi aktif dari guru, serta dukungan strategis dari komite sekolah.
