Legal Review of the Implementation of People's Business Credit Regulations on Maximum Credit Ceiling Limits

This study analyzes the implementation of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 1 of 2023 concerning People's Business Credit (KUR), with a specific focus on the maximum credit ceiling policy and its effect on MSMEs’ access to financing. The research is framed within an empirical legal approach using a case study of a selected banking unit to examine the alignment between regulatory provisions and lending practices. Findings reveal a significant gap: although the regulation allows for unsecured loans up to Rp100 million, many banks still impose collateral requirements. This practice undermines the principle of equitable access to credit, particularly affecting strategic sectors such as agriculture and micro-trade. Administrative constraints, limited legal literacy among borrowers, and weak regulatory oversight were identified as major implementation barriers. The study contributes to economic legal theory by highlighting the intersection of access equity and regulatory practice, and offers practical recommendations for policy harmonization between regulatory frameworks and banking practices. The urgency to reformulate a more flexible credit ceiling and to enhance institutional capacity for inclusive KUR distribution is underscored

Arbitrase Solusi Alternatif Dalam Menyelesaikan Sengketa Ekonomi Syariah

Sharia economic disputes are conflicts arising from different interpretations of rights and obligations in agreements based on sharia principles, which are often caused by a lack of transparency in the contract. This article discusses the definition, causes, classification, and resolution of sharia economic disputes in Indonesia. This dispute resolution process is governed by applicable law, particularly by the Religious Courts, which have the authority to examine and resolve sharia economic cases in accordance with Law No. 3 of 2006. Settlement can be done through litigation, which includes simple lawsuits and ordinary procedures, or through non-litigation channels such as alternative dispute resolution (APS) and arbitration. APS encourages amicable settlement with the principle of deliberation, while arbitration involves the appointment of an arbitrator to resolve the conflict. This article emphasizes the importance of maintaining sharia principles in the entire dispute resolution process, both through litigation and non-litigation channels, in order to achieve justice and sustainability in the Islamic economy. And the method used is normative juridical to analyze the laws and regulations governing sharia economic dispute resolution. The results of the discussion obtained are that settlement through arbitration is the settlement most often used by the parties to the dispute because the process in arbitration is more efficient and cost-effective and has strong legal certainty

Based on marriage data from the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Plered District for the period of Dzulqa’dah 2023 to Dzulqa’dah 2024, there were no recorded marriages in Trusmi Wetan Village during the month of Kapit. This qualitative study applies a case study method with data collected through in-depth interviews and field observations. The aim is to explore the factors behind the community's adherence to the prohibition of marriage in the month of Kapit, the perspectives of religious leaders, and the Islamic legal analysis of this tradition. The findings show that the community continues to uphold this belief due to strong adherence to ancestral customs and the influence of generational teachings. Religious leaders in the village express two differing views: some uphold the tradition as part of local wisdom, while others argue there is no Islamic legal basis for such a restriction. From an Islamic legal perspective, the prohibition falls under the category of ‘urf fasid (invalid custom), as it contradicts Islamic teachings that do not impose time-based restrictions on marriage. The study highlights the need for educational efforts that align Islamic law with local cultural practices. Keywords: Wedding, Kapit Month, 'Ur

Elevation of Serum Total Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Level as Predictor of Prostate Cancer (PCa) of Patient Following Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP)

Prostate cancer (PCa) is a significant global health issue, particularly in aging populations. In Indonesia, it is the fifth most common cancer. Diagnosis is often complicated by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which also elevates Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), limiting its specificity. This study aimed to establish an optimal preoperative PSA cutoff and assess the predictive utility of PSA, Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), and PSA Density (PSAD) for detecting PCa in patients undergoing Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP). A retrospective cohort study analyzed 152 patients undergoing TURP at Gadjah Mada University Hospital (May 2018–July 2024) using a consecutive sampling method. Preoperative serum Total PSA, NLR, and PSAD were evaluated against postoperative histopathology. Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze relationships, while Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis determined the optimal PSA cutoff. Prostate cancer was diagnosed in 19.1% of patients (n=29). ROC analysis identified a preoperative PSA cutoff of >19.95 ng/mL for predicting PCa, yielding an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.863, with 75.9% sensitivity and 75.6% specificity. The multivariate analysis confirmed that elevated preoperative PSA (Odds Ratio [OR] 3.648), NLR (OR 3.868), and PSAD (OR 9.553) were all significant independent predictors of a PCa diagnosis. Among these, PSAD emerged as the strongest predictive marker. Preoperative serum PSA, NLR, and PSAD are valuable independent predictors for PCa in patients undergoing TURP for symptomatic BPH. A PSA cutoff of >19.95 ng/mL is a clinically relevant diagnostic threshold for this specific population. Employing a multi-marker panel, with particular emphasis on PSAD, can enhance risk stratification and help clinicians identify high-risk patients warranting further investigation for PCa when planning a TURP procedure. Keywords: Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), Prostate Cancer (PCa), Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), Transurethral Resection of The Prostate (TURP

Overcoming Implementation Barriers in a Qualitative Study of the Supplementary Feeding Program for Malnourished Toddlers in Rural Indonesia

Nutritional problems among toddlers, particularly malnutrition, remain a significant public health concern in Indonesia. The Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) is a key government initiative that utilizes local food resources to improve the nutritional status of children under five. However, the program continues to face several implementation challenges that must be addressed to ensure its effectiveness. This study aimed to identify the challenges and solutions associated with the implementation of the PMT in the Sei Mencirim Health Center area, Deli Serdang Regency. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving eight key informants comprising health workers, posyandu cadres, and parents of PMT recipients. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman framework, which includes data reduction, data display, and verification. The findings revealed several key challenges: untimely distribution of PMT, declining food quality, budget constraints, low parental education levels, and limited parental involvement in program monitoring. To address these issues, a range of targeted solutions was implemented, including the formation of dedicated distribution teams, menu standardization, establishment of centralized food processing sites, improved data accuracy, continuous staff training, enhanced cross-sector coordination, and routine monitoring and evaluation. These interventions led to a 35% improvement in the timeliness of PMT distribution and a 50% increase in family participation, contributing positively to the nutritional outcomes of toddlers. In conclusion, targeted interventions and multisectoral collaboration significantly enhanced the effectiveness of PMT implementation in the study area. Keyword: Supplementary Feeding Program, Toddlers, Implementation Challenges, Nutritional Status, Qualitative Study

Picky eating, also known as selective eating, is a common behavior observed in young children during their developmental years. It is characterized by a limited food variety and reluctance to try new food options, even when they are familiar or previously consumed. This study aims to examine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and parenting styles with picky eating behavior. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, the research was conducted at State Kindergarten Pembina Meulaboh in August 2024. The study population consisted of 70 kindergarten children, with a total sampling technique yielding 64 participants. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results indicated a significant relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and picky eating behavior (p = 0.022; OR = 1.192). However, no significant association was found between parenting styles and picky eating (p = 0.875). Based on these findings, it is recommended that parents pay greater attention to food variety in children's diets to prevent boredom and encourage diverse eating habits. Keywords: Exclusive Breastfeeding History, Parenting, Picky Eate
