The Function of the Bass Trumpets in "Der Ring des Nibelungen" : Including a Survey of Their Origin and History
Get PDFヤナーチェクの《シンフォニエッタ》やストラヴィンスキーの《春の祭典》等、独奏的な活躍を見せるバス・トランペットであるが、最初に管弦楽にバス・トランペットが登場した作品はR.ワーグナーの楽劇《ニーベルングの指輪》であった。本研究では、バス・トランペットがワーグナーに注目されるに至るまでどのような発達を経てきたのかを探る。また、《指輪》においてワーグナーがバス・トランペットに対して描いた性格はどのようなものであったか、「人物」「物体」「出来事」「感情」の4つの概念を表わすライトモチーフを分類し、位置付けを明らかにした。その結果、「物体」を表わすモチーフを演奏する頻度が高いことがわかった。The Bass trumpet has been used an active solopart in "Sinfonietta" by Janacek and "The Rite of Spring" by Stravinsky, and so on. But I found the truth, Richard Wagner was the most earliest composer as using the Bass trumpet in "Der Ring des Nibelungen" at Orchestra.In this study, I researched into the History and Development of the Bass trumpet. And make it clear that a position of the Bass trumpet at "Der Ring des Nibelungen". In this way, classify Leading motives by four Conceptions, "Person" "Object" "Occurrence" "Emotion". Quality Assessment for speech coding with very small quality difference
No full text音声の圧縮符号化に伴う品質劣化の評価法はいくつかの客観的評価法が提案され、利用されている。これらは、主に通信品質の絶対評価値である平均オピニオン値を極力精度良く推定しようとするものであり、音声圧縮符号化アルゴリズムを電話網に適用するときの設計指針を与えるために利用されている。しかし、特に僅少な品質差を問題とする音声符号化方式の相互接続可能性を評価するには、精度の点で不満がある。ITU-Tの8 kbit/s音声符号化方式G.729とそのAnnex A, B, C, D, Eは勧告成立以来、無線用途をはじめとして広く利用されてきた。更に、ソフトウェアによるインプリメンテーションを求める市場の要請に応じて、ITU-Tは既存の可変レートAnnexに対する浮動小数点演算版を新規Annexとして勧告化することとした。筆者らは、既存の勧告との相互接続性を確保するための品質的要求条件を明確化するとともに、品質評価項目と評価手段を適切に設計し、ITU-Tにおける勧告化手順に反映させた。また、その手順に沿って新規Annex案の品質試験を実施し、その品質が勧告とするに足ることを明らかにした。本論文では、G.729の新しい拡張としてAnnex C+ が勧告化された経緯、要求条件に対する品質評価手法と評価項目、および勧告化にあたって実施した評価試験と結果を述べる。Subjective quality assessment method and the results for bit-reduction speech coding with very small quality difference are presented. Although some objective assessment methods are already applied in telephone network design for bit-reduction speech coding, those are mostly to estimate the Mean Opinion Scores from Absolute Category Rating tests, and are insufficient in resolution to judge whether or not compatible are encoding and decoding with mismatched arithmetic precision in implementation. The 8-kbit/s speech coding CS-ACELP and its extensions are recommended as G.729 and Annexes A, B, C, D, and E in ITU-T, and are widely deployed in telecommunication networks. Considering the market demands are getting stronger for variable rate, voice-activity detection, and software implementation under environment of spreading IP network and PC's cost reduction, ITU-T planned to recommend a new Annex for G.729 of software implementaion with variable-bit-rate operation and voice-activity detection. Authors clarified the requirements for interoperability between fixed-point arithmetic implementation in current Recommendation and floating-point implementation in new Recommendation and designed a suitable subjective assessment method, and necessary testing items. They also achieved the subjective tests and showed that the objects have good quality and are interoperable. Alexander Skryabin : The Composer Who Pursued Tritones
No full textアレキサンダー・スクリャビン(Alexander Skryabin/1872-1915)は、「神秘和音」と呼ばれる「和音」を、当時、他の誰よりも多用して作曲した事で知られるロシアの一作曲家である。神秘和音とはどのような構造の和音か-、どのような社会機構の中で生まれたか-。和声学の範疇、とくに非和声音の解釈とその解決を、20世紀中葉に概ね体系化したといわれるジャズ理論(the jazz theory)における解釈と比較しながら、「神秘和音」の構造分析(analysis)を試みる。次にオリビエ・メシアンの「わが音楽語法」を引用して、スクリャビンの作曲技法を分析、俯瞰する。その分析、俯瞰に相応しい象徴的な作品として、ピアノ小品3曲(a : prelude opus 35, no.3 . b: etude, opus 56, no.4 . c: prelude, opus 74, no.3 )を選曲。この試みは、当時のスクリャビンの作曲技法が既に20世紀中葉以降であったことを実証することにもなる。Alexander Skryabin (1872-1915) was a Russian composer known as a maestro who employed a chord ... called the "mystic chord"... in his musical works more often than anyone else at the time. What sort of chord is the mystic chord composed of? What sociocultural background does the mystic chord have? Falling under the category of harmony, partigularly the interpretation of a non-chord tone, I, in this paper, argue and analyze the mystic chord by applying the Jazz Theory, which is said to have been systematized in the mid-20th century, and the Technique de mon Langage Musical developed by Olivier Messiaen. I also take into account the transition of Skryabin's composition techniques through piano pieces which symbolize his profound techniques. No full text異なった文化においては、人々は異なった「学び方」で「学ぶ」のであろうか。またカリキュラムや教育、学習(学び)のあり方は、ある一つの文化から他の文化へと効果的に転移させることが可能であろうか。本文論では、文化的には大きく異なり、社会文化的に多様性な学びや知のあり方が存在する中にも、教育においては共通する部分があることについて述べたい。昨今では、伝統的な学びのあり方を超克しながら学校教育に共通する特質が効果的に世界中に広がってきている。教育政策を決める人々は、学習者を中心に据えて、学びの社会分化的文脈に比較教育学の視点を取り入れながら、教育方針を決定するべきであると考える。Do people "learn to learn" differently in different cultures? Can curriculum, teaching and learning approaches be effectively transferred from one culture to another? In this paper I argue there are some educational commonalities within the tremendous cultural diversity, ways of knowing and sociocultural dynamics of learning. However, common characteristics of schooling have spread throughout the world effectively ignoring traditional ways of learning. Trade Patterns and Human Capital under Publicly Provided Education and Privately Provided Education
Get PDF近年、国立大学の独立法人化が進み、従来の国公立大学も私立大学としての特徴が目立つようになってきた。こうした状況の中で、国際競争力が受ける影響について、理論的な枠組で分析してみる。特に、貿易パターンへの影響を調べるために、われわれは、人的資本の概念が導入された伝統的な特殊要素モデルを用いて、極端な二つのケースを検討してみる。つまり、国立大学しか存在しない国と私立大学しか存在しない国における、最終財の国内相対価格を調べ、最後に貿易パターンを導出する。結果的に、国立大学だけ存在する国が、人的資本を使って生産される最終財を、私立大学だけ存在する国に輸出することが示される。We examine the trade patterns using traditional Ricardo-Viner model, but also consider one of the sectoral-specific factor as human capital which will be produced under education. The education service in a country may be provided by government or private sector.
