On 10 February 2011 a major landslide occurred within the Collolar coalfield near the Afsin-Elbistan Thermal Power Plant due to an apparent failure in the stability of the mine walls. A detailed review of the imagery indicates that two separate landslides occurred in the mine. These results are based on an assessment of satellite imagery recorded on 17 February 2011 and 16 December 2010.Color
