Acacia (Acacia mangium Willd) Tree Health on KAMPUS UTAMA UNIVERSITAS BENGKULU
Acacia (Acacia mangium Willd) is a type of tree that can grow well on marginal land and adaptive under climate change. This study aims to determine the health level of acacia trees on the Main Campus of the University of Bengkulu. This study was conducted in May-July 2024. The research method used the "Purposive Sampling" method with a total of 5 research stations. Data collected in the field were the level of tree health (type of damage, location of damage and severity class of damage), height and diameter of acacia trees and plants around acacia trees. Abiotic factors observed were climatic factors (humidity, light intensity, temperature and wind speed) and edaphic factors (soil pH). Based on the results of the study, 8 types of damage were obtained, namely; dieback, vines, broken or dead branches, broken or cracked stems, open wounds, cancer, termite nests and gummosis. The results of the study obtained a Damage Index Value at the plot level or Plot Level Index (PLI), namely, beside the Multipurpose Building of 5.8 (light), Joint Building 3 of 3.7 (healthy), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of 1.7 (healthy), behind the Rectorate 4 of 1.7 (healthy) and Forestry Department 5 of 3.8 (healthy) and obtained a Cluster Damage Index Value or Cluster Level Index (CLI) of 3.3
STUDI POPULASI SIAMANG (Symphalangus syndactylus) DI BLOK PERLINDUNGAN TAMAN WISATA ALAM SEBLAT KABUPATEN BENGKULU UTARA PROVINSI BENGKULU
Siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus) merupakan salah satu spesies dari family Hylobatidae. Keberadaan siamang memiliki peran penting pada ekosistem hutan, yaitu membantu proses pertumbuhan tanaman, sebagai polinator dan penyebar biji tumbuh-tumbuhan, sehingga pada umumnya primata termasuk siamang memainkan perannya sebagai spesies kunci (key species) dalam sebuah ekosistem. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ukuran kelompok, struktur umur dan rasio seksual siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus) di Blok Perlindungan Taman Wisata Alam Seblat Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, Provinsi Bengkulu. Penelitian ini berlangsung pada Bulan Agustus 2024 di Blok Perlindungan TWA Seblat Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara Provinsi Bengkulu dengan teknik pengambilan data di lapangan yaitu menggunakan metode Triangle dan Concentration Count.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan 12 individu siamang yang terbagi dalam 4 kelompok dengan ukuran rata-rata kelompok yaitu 3 individu/kelompok siamang. Berdasarkan komposisi umur kelompok siamang yang teridentifikasi yaitu bayi, remaja dan dewasa. Perbandingan jumlah jantan dan betina (sex ratio) pada kelas umur siamang dewasa yaitu 1:1 merupakan perbandingan yang stabil atau ideal bagi perkembangan populasi siamang pada waktu atau tahun berikutnya sedangkan, kelas umur siamang remaja yaitu 2:1 yang menunjukkan belum adanya kestabilan komposisi jenis kelamin, komposisi kelas umur serta ukuran kelompok yang kedepannya dapat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan populasi siamang. Pengukuran faktor abiotik atau kondisi lingkungan saat perjumpaan langsung dengan kelompok siamang diperoleh rata-rata suhu udara maksimum yaitu 28,12ºC dan minimum 27,77ºC, pH tanah yaitu 6,2, kelembapan udara maksimum yaitu 81,1% dan minimum 79, 4% serta intensitas cahaya maksimum 256, 25 lux dan minimum 222 lux.

PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU PAUD DALAM MENYUSUN ADMINISTRASI KURIKULUM DAN EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN MELALUI PELATIHAN BERBASIS MASALAH
Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dalam menyusun administrasi kurikulum dan evaluasi pembelajaran melalui pelatihan berbasis masalah. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang sering dihadapi guru dalam menyusun dokumen kurikulum dan merancang instrumen evaluasi yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif, workshop, pendampingan, serta praktik langsung dengan studi kasus nyata. Peserta pelatihan terdiri dari 25 guru PAUD yang berasal dari berbagai lembaga pendidikan di wilayah tersebut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun modul ajar, rubrik penilaian, serta asesmen formatif dan sumatif. Guru juga mampu mengidentifikasi serta memecahkan permasalahan nyata dalam praktik pembelajaran secara kolaboratif. Kegiatan ini berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah serta mendorong budaya reflektif di kalangan guru. Pelatihan berbasis masalah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas profesional guru secara kontekstual dan berkelanjutan
Analysis of Students' Ability in Mastering the Process Components of Using Symbolic, Formal and Technical Language and Operation and Representation of PISA Mathematical Literacy at SMPN 4 Bengkulu City
This study aims to analyze students' abilities in mastering the process components of PISA mathematical literacy. This research is classified as descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students from classes IX-1 and IX-2 at SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu during the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The instruments and data collection techniques used in this research were test sheets and interviews. The results of the study show that 45.45% of students demonstrated the ability in the representation process, while 40.74% of students demonstrated the ability in the use of symbolic, formal, and technical language and operations process when solving PISA 2012 mathematical literacy problems
Benefits And Challenges of The Use of Generative AI in English Learning in Higher Education: Students’ Voices
This research aims to examine how students perceive generative AI technology, such as ChatGPT, in the context of English language learning. The focus of this research is on how familiar students are with this technology, how open they are to using it, as well as the benefits and challenges that may arise, including the proper usage concerning English language learning. In an online survey involving 293 students from various majors at 3 universities in Bengkulu, Indonesia, it was found that the majority of students had a positive view towards the use of GenAI in English language learning. They realize that this technology can help them in personalized learning, providing assistance in writing, completing assignments, and also in research and analysis. However, despite the many advantages, students also expressed some concerns. They are concerned about the accuracy of the information generated and ethical issues. By understanding these student perspectives, educators and policymakers can better tailor the use of GenAI to meet their needs and concerns, as well as promote better English learning outcomes.

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 7 SELUMA MATERI GERAK BENDA DAN MAKHLUK HIDUP
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 7 Seluma. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif kuantitatif . Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Seluma dengan jumlah 128 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal essay sebanyak 10 butir soal pada materi gerak benda dan makhluk hidup dilingkungan sekitar. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan berpikr kritis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Seluma berada pada kategori sedang (44,51). Berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang terendah (33,85) memberikan penjelasan sederhana, tertinggi (58,72) membangun keterampilan dasar. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah diduga karena metode pembelajaran yang kurang mengajak siswa untuk aktif selama proses pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT
Study aims to describe students critical thinking skills at SMPN 7 Seluma in class VIII. This research is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects were all students of class VIII SMPN 7 Seluma with a total of 128 people. Research data collection techniques used test instruments in the form of essay questions of 10 questions on the material of motion of objects and living things in the surrounding environment. The sampling technique in this study used a total sampling technique. Results showed that the average critical thinking ability of class VIII students of SMPN 7 Seluma was in the medium category (44.51). Based on indicators of critical thinking skills, the lowest (33.85) provides simple explanations, the highest (58.72) builds basic skills. Factors that affect low critical thinking skills are thought to be due to learning methods that do not invite students to be active during the learning process.

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TWO STAY TWO STRAY DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA PADA MATERI KIMIA AIR
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi kimia air melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya tingkat keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah kimia air yang seringkali diajarkan secara konvensional, sehingga kurang mendorong interaksi dan pemahaman mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi-Eksperimen jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan IPA yang mengambil mata kuliah Kimia Lingkungan. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling, terdiri dari dua kelas: satu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model TSTS, dan satu kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Data keaktifan dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, sedangkan data hasil belajar diperoleh dari pretest dan posttest yang diberikan kepada kedua kelompok. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Data hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test atau Mann-Whitney U Test setelah uji normalitas dan homogenitas, serta perhitungan N-Gain untuk melihat peningkatan. Data keaktifan dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi Kimia Air dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai N-gain Score pada tabel pada kelas eksperimen berada dalam kategori tinggi yaitu 0,74 berada pada 0,30 > N-gain > 0,70, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol mendapatkan nilai 0,68 berada pada 0,30 ≤ N-gain ≤ 0,70 berada dalam kategori sedang. Peningkatan keaktifan terlihat dari partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam diskusi kelompok dan berbagi informasi, yang berkolerasi positif dengan peningkatan pemahaman konsep.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the increase in student activity and learning outcomes in water chemistry materials through the application of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model. The background of this research is the low level of student activity and learning outcomes in water chemistry courses which are often taught conventionally, so that they do not encourage interaction and deep understanding. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population is students of the Sains study program who take the Environment Chemistry course. The sample was selected by purposive sampling, consisting of two classes: one experimental class applying the TSTS model, and one control class using conventional learning methods. Activity data was collected through observation sheets, while learning outcome data was obtained from pretest and posttest given to both groups. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferentially. The learning outcome data was analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test or Man-Whitney U Test after the normality and homogeneity test, as well as the calculation of N-Gain to see improvement. Activeness data was analyzed descriptively as a percentage. The results of the study show that the Two Stay Two Stray learning model is significantly able to increase student activity and learning outcomes in Water Chemistry materials compared to conventional learning methods. The N-gain Score value in the table in the experimental class was in the high category, which was 0.74, was in the high category, which was 0.30 > N-gain > 0.70, while in the control class, the value of 0.68 was in the 0.30 ≤ N-gain ≤ 0.70 was in the medium category. The increase in activeness can be seen from the active participation of students in group discussions and information sharing, which is positively correlated with increased understanding of concepts.

ANALISIS MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ANATOMI DAN FISIOLOGI TUMBUHAN BERBASIS PROYEK MAHASISWA CALON GURU IPA
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas media pembelajaran Anatomi dan Fisiologi Tumbuhan yang dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa calon guru IPA melalui model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester 3 kelas A dan B prodi S1 Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Bengkulu yang berjumlah 64 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian media Anatomi dan Fisiologi Tumbuhan dengan kriteria: kebutuhan, ideal, dan nilai nilai, ketepatan efektivitas pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang telah dirumuskan yang dikembangkan menjadi 9 aspek penilaian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa aspek dengan skor tertinggi adalah kesesuaian dengan nilai edukatif (persentase 86,81%) dan relevansi dengan materi (86,11%) yang termasuk dalam kategori "sangat baik". Sementara itu, aspek kreativitas dan orisinalitas memperoleh persentase terendah sebesar 75,69% dengan kategori "baik". Rata-rata keseluruhan kualitas media mencapai 81,33% dengan kategori "sangat baik".

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the quality of instructional media on Plant Anatomy and Physiology developed by prospective science teachers through a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 64 third-semester students from classes A and B of the Science Education undergraduate program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Bengkulu. The instrument used was an assessment rubric for instructional media on Plant Anatomy and Physiology, with criteria covering needs, ideals and values, accuracy, effectiveness in media utilization, and achievement of predetermined learning objectives, which were further elaborated into nine assessment aspects. The analysis results showed that the highest-scoring aspects were alignment with educational value (86.81%) and relevance to the subject matter (86.11%), both categorized as "excellent." Meanwhile, the lowest-scoring aspect was creativity and originality, with a percentage of 75.69%, categorized as "good." Overall, the average quality of the instructional media reached 81.33%, which falls under the "excellent" category.

An Analysis of Compound Words Usage on the @PopBase's X Account in 2024
This study aims to analyze the use of compound words on the @PopBase X account in 2024. Using a qualitative approach and the theory of Delahunty and Garvey (2010), this study focuses on identifying three types of compound words: endocentric, exocentric, and copulative. Data were collected from @PopBase tweets throughout 2024, specifically those related to entertainment news and pop culture. The findings of the study revealed that endocentric compounds dominated the data, with terms such as soundtrack and fanbase being the most frequently used. Exocentric compounds, such as box office and blockbuster, and copulative compounds, such as singer-songwriter and action comedy, also appeared but were less frequent. The study also found that most of the compounds had transparent meanings and the compounds in the posts functioned as nouns. These findings suggest that the use of compound words on @PopBase helps facilitate concise and engaging communication, especially in the fast-paced digital environment of platform X. This study contributes to the understanding of word formation in X application and highlights the evolving role of morphology in online entertainment communication
Implementasi Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO/IEC 17025:2017 pada Laboratorium Pengujian Produk Pertanian dengan Studi Kasus di Indonesia: Implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Quality Management System in Agricultural Product Testing Laboratories with Case Studies in Indonesia
Agricultural product testing laboratories have a strategic role in supporting the safety and quality of Indonesian agricultural products. This study examines the implementation of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Quality Management System (QMS) in agricultural product testing laboratories in Indonesia through a journal review approach. The results showed that the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 QMS has a significant impact on improving the quality of testing, human resource competence, stakeholder trust, and competitiveness of Indonesian agricultural products in the global market. However, there are still various obstacles in its implementation, including limited resources, complexity of documentation, and the need to increase personnel competence. Integrated policy support is needed to optimize the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 SMM in agricultural product testing laboratories in Indonesia
