    Application of Tobit Regression on Household Expenditure on Egg and Milk Consumption in Bengkulu City

    Regression analysis is a statistical method used to examine the functional relationship between two or more independent variables and a dependent variable. One of the regression methods designed to handle censored data or data with significant zero values is Tobit regression. This study aims to model household expenditures on egg and milk consumption in Bengkulu City using Tobit regression and to identify the factors influencing these expenditures. The data were obtained from the 2022 National Socioeconomic Survey, with a total sample of 1,170 households. The Tobit regression model was chosen because most household expenditure data had zero values, indicating censored data characteristics. This study identified several factors affecting expenditures on egg and milk consumption, such as the household head's education level, the number of household members, and the household head's employment sector. The results showed that the education level of the household head (elementary, junior high, and high school), the number of household members, and the household head's employment in agriculture and trade sectors had significant impacts on household expenditures for egg and milk consumption. The education level of the household head and their employment sector had a negative relationship, while the number of household members showed a positive relationship with these expenditures. The Tobit regression model successfully modeled household expenditures with adequate accuracy, as indicated by a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAAPE) of 1.38%

    Political participation of young voters has a strategic role in local democracy. This research aims to analyze the factors inhibiting young voters' participation in the 2024 Bengkulu regional election using Chi-Square analysis. This descriptive-analytic quantitative research involved 124 respondents aged 17-29 in the 2024 Bengkulu regional election, analyzing four variables: political knowledge, psychological factors, social environment, and technical constraints. Using the Fisher Exact test, the results showed no significant relationship between the variables and the voting decision. Interestingly, the participation rate of young voters is quite high, indicating the complexity of the dynamics of political participation of the younger generation. The research findings provide a new perspective on the dynamics of young voters' political participation, providing a foundation for the development of strategies to increase young people's political engagement in future elections

    Penerapan Differentiated Instruction dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik di Kelas Inklusif

    This community service activity aims to implement Differentiated Instruction (DI) at SDIT Nuriz to improve inclusive classroom practices. This activity includes two-day training for teachers, six-week implementation of DI in class VI-B, and monitoring and evaluation. The results showed that 90% of teachers were more confident in implementing DI, with 85% of class activities in accordance with DI principles. The implementation of DI increased the average student test score by 14.3% and understanding of the material by 23.1%. Teacher satisfaction with the training and implementation of DI reached 88% and 85%, respectively. Future recommendations include expanding DI training and a more comprehensive evaluation of its impact on inclusive education. &nbsp

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Wordwall Berbasis Project Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Peserta Didik Kelas IV SDN 113 Seluma

    The purpose of this research is to develop, describe the characteristics, logical feasibility, user response and effectiveness of wordwall learning media based on project based learning to improve the description writing skills of grade IV students of 113 Seluma public elementary school. The type of research used is R&D (Rescearch and Development) research with the ADDIE development model. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data using instruments in the form of interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. The results of the study show that wordwall learning media is able to increase student interaction. Logically, wordwall learning media is feasible to use based on the results of material validation 0.95, linguists 0.83, media/design experts 0.95, which is a high validity category. User responses show a 100% percentage of the attractiveness of wordwall learning media. The effectiveness of wordwall learning media is very high, this is shown by the average N-Gain test of 85.65 or 86% which is included in the effective category.     Implemention of Washing Machine to Increase The Production Capacity of Sweet Potato : Implementasi Mesin Pencuci untuk Meningkatkan Kapasitas Produksi Ubi Jalar

    The rotary system sweet potato washing machine is used to clean sweet potatoes that are dirty and contain lots of soil and other impurities such as microorganisms. The rotary system which rotates and rolls is used for perfect movement, so that the dirt covering the sweet potato is removed completely. The aim of this activity is to test and determine the production capacity of the rotary system of sweet potato washing machines used by sweet potato collecting farmers. The testing was carried out by putting a number of sweet potatoes into the washing tub, along with running water as a cleaning fluid. The drum is rotated with a rotation speed of 1430 rpm which is connected to a gear ratio of 1:30, so the rotation speed is smaller. The stirring arm is moved simultaneously with the movement of the drum. The rotating stirrer arm will provide a more dynamic movement so that the adhering soil will be removed from the surface of the sweet potato, as the washing water flows. The test results showed that the process of washing the sweet potatoes was successful, where the sweet potatoes that had dirt attached to them came off completely. The production capacity of the sweet potato washing machine is 50 kg, with a washing time of 5 minutes. The production cycle for a rotary system sweet potato washing machine is 15 minutes while manual washing is 40 minutes. Meanwhile, the productivity of rotary system washing sweet potatoes can reach 180 kg/hour.     Gender-Based Analysis of Technical Efficiency in Rice Farming: A Case Study in Deli Serdang Regency

    Deli Serdang Regency is the foremost rice grower in North Sumatra Province. The disparity in input access between male and female producers is responsible for the low rice output in this region. This study aimed to assess the technical efficiency of rice cultivation among male and female producers and identify the inefficiency sources among rice farmers in Deli Serdang Regency. We employ a stochastic frontier methodology to assess the technical efficiency of rice cultivation and utilize a statistical difference test to evaluate efficiency disparities between the two cohorts of rice growers. Primary data was gathered from 400 farmers during the 2022 planting season. The study revealed that male rice growers exhibited greater efficiency than their female counterparts. Our findings indicate that male rice producers inadequately utilized labor, fertilizer, land, and pesticides, but female rice producers inadequately utilized labor and fertilizer. Factors contributing to inefficiency also included the frequency of extensions, experience with FBOs, agricultural expertise, and access to irrigation. Given that women dedicate considerable time to domestic responsibilities and child-rearing, local governments may establish extension and training initiatives—such as guidance on fertilizer application, pest management, and agricultural record-keeping—alongside health programs routinely administered at integrated service posts (Posyandu) and family welfare programs (PKK). Extension services are essential to enhance the knowledge and abilities of women rice farmers, hence improving technical efficiency, household welfare, and the sustainability of rice growing in Deli Serdang Regency

    Export Competitiveness of Indonesian Cocoa Derivative Products in Main Destination Countries

    The purpose of this study is to examine the competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa derivative product exports, especially cocoa paste, cocoa butter, and cocoa powder, to the main destination countries: Malaysia, China, the Philippines, the United States, and India and to analyze the export trends of cocoa derivative products to make a forecast for the next 10 years. Data analysis includes the RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage), ECI (Export Competitiveness Index) and ARIMA models. The results show that Indonesian cocoa paste has significant competitiveness in Malaysia, China, the Philippines, and the United States, but not in India because the RCA value is < 1. Indonesian cocoa butter and powder have a high competitive advantage in the main destination countries, indicated by the RCA value> 1. Indonesian cocoa paste, cocoa butter, and cocoa powder have been competitive since 2005 to 2022, indicated by the average ECI score > 1. In addition, the projection of Indonesia cocoa paste export prospects to major destination countries shows an increasing trend from 2023 to 2032, except for the Philippines which is expected to decline during that period, with an average of only 142.51 tons per year. The projection of the quantity of Indonesia cocoa butter exports to major destination countries shows an increasing pattern. The projection of the amount of Indonesia cocoa powder exports to Malaysia, China, the Philippines, and India is on an increasing trajectory; however, in the United States, it shows fluctuations with a downward trend with an average of 1,899,175 tons per year

    A Qualitative Study Of Anxiety And Coping Cycles In East Java Muaythai Athletes In The Sparring Category Using A Creative Viusal Approach

    This research aims to be a reference for coaches, athletes, and Muaythai organization administrators in dealing with anxiety in athletes before competing, so they can perform optimally. This research uses qualitative methods with direct participation of researchers and is conducted at Koni East Java Province. Data were obtained from semi-structured interviews with 15 East Java Muaythai athletes in the fighting category who had competed at the provincial level. The results show three patterns of anxiety: (1) a pattern of progressive increase, where anxiety increases long before the day of the match and is difficult to reduce; (2) a pattern of performance decline, from high anxiety levels that do not decrease; and (3) a pattern of stagnation, where anxiety shows no significant change. This study produced three main patterns of anxiety analysis and it is hoped that future researchers can further develop the focus of the study

    Association of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour Levels with Mental Health and Nutritional Status in Elementary School Students

    This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of clean and healthy living behavior with mental health and nutritional status in elementary school students. The population in this study were fourth grade students with a sample size of 73 students. This study used quantitative research methods and research design using correlation with a cross sectional approach. The instruments used in this study were the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior questionnaire, a mental health questionnaire using the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and measurement of nutritional status using the Body Mass Index (BMI). The data analysis used was normality test, linearity test and chi-square test with an error rate of 5% or 0.05. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between the level of clean and healthy living behavior and mental health with a sig value. 0.832 > 0.05 and there is no relationship between the level of clean and healthy living behavior and nutritional status with a sig value. 0,459 > 0,05.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dengan kesehatan mental dan status gizi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 73 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan desain penelitian menggunakan korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), kuesioner kesehatan mental dengan menggunakan Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), dan pengukuran status gizi dengan menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji chi-square dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% atau 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dengan kesehatan mental dengan nilai sig. 0,832 > 0,05 dan tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dengan status gizi dengan nilai sig. 0,459 > 0,05

    [EFFECTIVENESS OF SEED COATING ON EXPIRED ‘BARA’ BIRD’S EYE CHILI (Capsicum frutescens L.) SEEDS]. The decline in physiological quality of bird’s eye chili (Capsicum frutescens L.) seeds due to prolonged storage poses a significant challenge in horticultural crop production, particularly in ensuring the availability of high-quality seeds. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of seed coating using carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and humic acid in combination with Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) in enhancing the viability and vigor of aged ‘Bara’ chili seeds. The experiment was conducted from March to June 2025 at the laboratory, field, and greenhouse facilities of the UPT for Rice and Palawija Seed Development, Singosari, Malang, East Java. A factorial completely randomized design (CRD) was employed with two factors: type of coating material (CMC, humic acid, and CMC + humic acid) and PGPR dosage (10 g and 20 g). The observed variables included maximum growth potential, germination rate, vigor index, and seedling growth rate. The results indicated that treatment with 1% humic acid + 20 g PGPR yielded the highest maximum growth potential and germination rate (100%), while the combination of 1% humic acid + 10 g PGPR produced the highest vigor index (33.33%) and growth rate (5.89%/day). The application of organic coating materials combined with PGPR was proven effective in restoring the physiological quality of aged chili seeds. These findings can be implemented as a seed invigoration strategy to extend the shelf life of horticultural seeds and improve seedling establishment under field conditions, thereby supporting sustainable crop production systems. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kombinasi bahan pelapis benih berupa Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) dan asam humat dengan Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) terhadap viabilitas dan vigor benih cabai rawit kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret hingga Juni 2025 di Laboratorium, lahan dan greenhouse UPT Pengembangan Benih Padi dan Palawija, Singosari, Malang, Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) factorial dengan dua faktor: jenis bahan pelapis dan dosis PGPR. Parameter yang diamati meliputi potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor dan kecepatan tumbuh benih. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan asam humat 1% + PGPR 20 gram menghasilkan potensi tumbuh maksimum dan daya berkecambah tertinggi (100%), sedangkan perlakuan asam humat 1% + PGPR 10 gram memberikan indeks vigor (33,33%) dan kecepatan tumbuh (5,89 %/etmal). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa kombinasi bahan pelapis organik dan mikroba PGPR mampu memulihkan mutu fisiologis benih cabai rawit kadaluarsa dan berpotensi digunakan sebagai strategi revitalisasi benih
