Information Sources of Students of Psychology
Every year, universities spend a large sum of money on databases and library sources to help with education and research. The main aim is to determine the sources of information utilized by the psychology students at Semnan University to address their information needs. This study is applied research and uses grounded theory to reveal the viewpoints of postgraduate psychology students at Semnan University. The statistical population comprised all postgraduate psychology students at the time of the study (2018-2019). Data collection and analysis were conducted until saturation point, and 50 in-depth interviews were carried out. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, and MaxQDA was used for data coding. Interviewing was stopped following 40 interviews due to data saturation, although 10 additional interviews were held with the students, which led to no new data. Based on the open coding, 95 codes were identified and extracted from the data, followed by 27 codes in axial coding. Finally, 10 codes were identified and extracted from the data through the selective coding process. The results showed that the sources of information for psychology students of Semnan University are their professors, databases, research questionnaire databases, resource ordering, accessible electronic sources, the Internet, audio-visional sources, library, search engines, and professional websites. Psychology students of Semnan University used formal/informal and digital/printed sources of information. These cover many types of information. They need more bibliographic instruction on making greater use of library services prepared for them.https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.1.18.
Research Trends on Climate Change Publications in Brics Countries: A Scientometrics Analysis
The utility of scientometric considerations helps in dynamic/approach making. Technology forecasting provides an informed view of technology, its development, and future trends and is an essential tool in decision-making. BRICS is the abbreviation authored for a relationship of five significant arising public economies such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The BRICS nations are now fortifying collaboration to battle environmental change through a progression of joint goals. The BRICS should deliver these by consenting to make and advance the strides logically known to do the most to control environmental changes. Scientometrics is progressively being applied in science strategy examines. The present study attempted to find the year-wise, language, document type, and keyword-wise distribution of articles in Climate Change research and to study the authorship pattern and collaboration in climate change research. It attempted to present the exponential growth rate of Climate change and top-cited documents in Climate change research. Using the search term “Climate Change” the data were retrieved from the Web of Science from 1994 to 2018. Totally, 30,270 records were downloaded and analyzed by using Bibexcel. The collected data have been analyzed with the Bibexcel and VOS viewer and presented in the form of tables and pictures. The study found that more number of articles published in the year 2018 was 5756, and most documents were published in English; multiple authors contributed 96% of the articles. It is understood that PLOS One published 581 documents, lesser level of exponential growth rate noticed in 2009 was 0.7. The significance of the support of Brazil and BRICS in a global environmental change system has been perceived for quite a while. Performance Evaluation of Medical Academic Libraries Based on DEA Approach
Medical academic libraries are required to exemplify and quantify the value of their services to their users and parent organizations. Using the Data Envelopment Approach (DEA) technique, this study reports and discusses the efficiency measurement of the 77 academic libraries in Type1 medical sciences universities in Iran. Eleven (11) input and outputs variables were selected to measure the efficiency and performance of the libraries. The selected variables were: Total volumes held, net volumes added during the research period, number of professional staff, and number of supporting staff (service, security, etc.). The total number of full-time students enrollment, full-time instructional faculties, total personal expenditures (professional and supporting staff), area of the libraries, library spaces, computers, and seating capacities. As representative variables of the services libraries provide to their users, we have selected as outputs opening hours per week, the number of registered readers/members (students, faculty, etc.), circulation transactions, and the number of reader visits or attendance. The input-oriented BCC model analyzed libraries' efficiency and benchmarked each inefficient unit by determining and introducing similar efficient units in terms of services and multiple parameters. Out of the 77 libraries analyzed, 30 libraries were efficient, and 47 were ranked as inefficient. By addressing the performance details of each of the introduced units as a benchmark, the finding of this study can help the gatekeeper of these universities to plan and modify their library work plans to improve performance and achieve full efficiency.https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.2.16.1
Trends and Evolution of Road User behaviour Research: A Bibliometric Review
Every single person is entitled to equal space on the roads or sidewalks, so they rely on each other’s empathy and compassion and not be self-centered. Therefore, it is essential to promote the ethics of road safety and road users’ exemplary behavior upmost. This review analyzed the publication trends and thematic evolution of road user behaviour over 47 years from 1973 to 2020. The assessment uses the Scopus database and various bibliometric indicators, such as output growth trends, eminent countries, research hotspots, and author keywords. Also, this study presented a graphical visualization of bibliometric indicators using a VOSviewer. Another bibliometric software tool, known as SciMAT, was used to inspect road user behaviour research’s thematic evolution. The verdicts revealed that the number of publications increased exponentially, starting in 2005 with a hike in publications in 2020. Road user behaviour researches were diverse by examining the various research hotspots. This review also focuses on several themes and dimensions of road user behaviour research. The essential motor theme during the first period (2005-2012) was “schools”. Other motor themes, such as “cross-sectional studies,” “car”, and “space-temporal-analysis”, became the most significant number of publications in the second period (2013-2020). These four themes may be beneficial as a benchmark for researchers focusing on the art of road user behaviour. This bibliometric study provides a comprehensive and in-depth view of road users’ behaviour that may help future researchers advance potential knowledge in this field.https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.3.5.2

Relationship between Webometrics University Rankings and Research Gate Scores, Scopus and Web of Science
Interest in academic ranking systems increased substantially in the last two decades. The majority of existing ranking systems are highly exclusive and cover up to 1500 best-positioned world universities. An exception to these ranking systems is the Webometrics ranking, which ranks more than 31000 universities throughout the world. In this study, we wanted to examine what factors best predict the Webometrics rankings. The sample for this study consisted of 102 European universities, with the Webometrics ranks ranging from 18th position to 6969th position. We examined the effects of the number of Web of Science publications, Scopus publications, and ResearchGate-related data on Webometrics ranking. Data retrieved from the academic social network site ResearchGate predicted 72% of the variance in the Webometrics ranking. The number of Scopus publications was the single best determinant of whether the university will be positioned in the top 1000 ranked universities. These results indicate the potential use of ResearchGate scores in the rankings of universities and serve as a proxy for universities’ excellence. This, in turn, can be useful to government policymakers and university leaders in creating better strategies for enhancing the reputation of universities. https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.3.1.8
