    The Effect of Duration of the Rivet Process on the Strength of Single Lap Joining

    Good airplane joining supports aircraft strength. The general joining process is using rivet as joining method. The parameter that affects the strength during the riveting process is the duration of the rivet head formation. The purpose was to determine the effect of the duration of rivet head formation on the quality of the joint. The research was carried out with the help of homemade tools, to ensure data consistency. The selected riveting duration is 3, 4, 5, 6 seconds. After connection, each connection was tested for strength through tensile testing and macro photo images from the joining. Results show that the 5-second duration provides the best connection with the tensile test results of 165 MPa. Based on the macro photo image, the 5 second rivet process produces the best connection because it produces the biggest rivet body so that it provides the greatest strength compared to the others

    Engineering Setting on Traffic Lights Based on Number of Vehicles with Fuzzy Logic Algorithm

    At crossroads there is often a queue of vehicles that are not evenly distributed in each branch, but the length of the green light remains (not adaptive). So prototype was made to regulate the green light based on the number of vehicles with the help of the Fuzzy Logic Algorithm. Beginning with the next fuzzification stage with the help of the rule base to the defuzzification stage which produces a long green light. The results of the study, Fuzzy Logic algorithm can set the length of green light for each branch based on the number of vehicles. If a branch has more vehicles than other branches, the length of time for the green light on the branch is longer than the other branches. The percentage of error testing with theoretical calculations is 0.05% and the percentage of success is 99.95%

    The Distribution of Aircraft Passenger Movements on Java Island Using the Gravity Model

    The need for movement always causes problems, especially when humans go to the same destination in a certain area at the same time. It is needed to do the analysis of the distribution of aircraft passenger movement in order to provide the required facilities in the future. This research model the distribution of aircraft passenger movements on  Java Island using the Double Constrain Gravity model(DGCR)  with the negative exponential, rank and tanner obstacle function. In this case, it is found that the Double Constrain Gravity Model (DGCR) with tanner obstacle function is the best method due to the smallest standard deviation.  It could be concluded that the DCGR model with tanner obstacle functions is more accurate when compared to the DCGR model with other obstacle functions in estimating the movement distribution in 2025 on Java Island

    The Visualization Study on the Slug Flow Mechanisms of the Air-Water Two-Phase in a 50 mm Horizontal Pipe

    The slug flow phenomena are often encountered in various industrial applications such as petroleum, process, and power plant. The presence of slug flow should be avoided as it causes structural damage due to resonance, corrosion and pipes blast. From the view point of multiphase flow, the understanding of the slug initiation mechanism is very important in pipeline design. This research is conducted using horizontal transparent acrylic pipes with diameters of 50 mm with a variation on the superficial velocity of water between 0,1 m/s and 0,77 m/s and superficial velocity of air between 0,31 m/s and 6,2 m/s. In the present experimental study, the slug initiation mechanisms was explained by visual observation by using high speed video cameras. As the results, the slug flow initiation mechanism were clarified. Furthermore, the proposed of flow initiation map was introduced

The purpose of this study was to identify the results of data processing using and utilizing information technology via smartphone by the people of Berbah Sleman Tegalrejo using the quicksort method. Identification results to find out the use and utilization of information technology through smartphones with features that have been used effectively and efficiently by the residents of Tegalrejo Berbah Sleman so as to make a digital literacy community

    Multiple Linear Regression Analysis for Identifying the Most Affecting Factor on The Quality of Raw Tea Materials in PT Pagilaran

    Most of the black tea production in Pagilaran Batang Production Unit is to meet the demands of consumers from abroad. Because of the abundant requests from abroad, the quality of black tea product must be always controlled, therefore it is necessary to conduct a Multiple Linear Regression Analysis of the tea shoots to find out the most affecting factor of the tea shoots quality so that the quality of contributing factors of highest First Grade black tea product can be identified. The methods used in this study was Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Multivariate Analysis where the Multivariate Analysis was the Factor Analysis. In addition to determine the regression equation, classical assumption test calculations (normality test and heteroscedasticity test), correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, F hypothesis test and t hypothesis test were administered to find the most affecting  factor of the tea shoots quality. From the results of the analysis and discussion on the calculation of multiple linier regression in each garden (y1, y2, y3) it was obtained that the most affecting factor was fertilizer with a value in Afdeling Pagilaran (y1) of – 1415,934 , Afdeling Andongsili (y2) of – 265,858 and Afdeling Kayulandak (y3) of 225,589. Then on the calculation of multiple linier regression in each garden (y1, y2, y3) after summarizing the variables it was obtained that the most affecting factors in Afdeling Pagilaran (y1) was a Trip Pest with a value of - 53,741 , Afdeling Andongsili (y2) was fertilizer with a value of - 46,301 and Afdeling Kayulandak (y3) was fertilizer with a value of 213,07

    Implementation Port Security for Security Systems Network at the Computing Laboratory of Adisutjipto College of Technology

    At the Computing Laboratory Adisutjipto College of Technology (STTA) there are switch devices and several personal computers connected directly to the server, so that the equipment in the laboratory can be used by students, employees and lecturers freely to explore the world without borders (internet) by utilizing the STTA bandwidth. The absence of a security system in the laboratory, users can use bandwidth without administrator permission to carry out activities that are not in accordance with the provisions of bandwidth usage in the STTA environment, thus disrupting Practical activities in the Laboratory. Many techniques can be done in minimizing the crime rate or the use of irresponsible users in this network, one technique that will be used to secure local networks is to use security ports on the switch. With port security implemented in the Laboratory STTA computing theft or excessive bandwidth usage can be reduced 70,19% and the use of Unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cables with unregistered computer devices can be prevented

    Initial Modelling of Bird Strike by Numerical Simulation in Varied L/D Ratio of Bird Geometry

    This research studies influence of bird geometry on impact pressures during bird strike, namely Hugoniot and Stagnation pressure through initial modelling by numerical simulations. Bird geometry is capsule or cylinder with hemisphere end. The geometry is simulated with different L/D ratio, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0. Elastic-plastic hydrodynamic material model is used in simulation. Bird model simulation are using lagrangian method and initial velocities are 200 m/s. The results show variation of L/D ratio provide Hugoniot pressure 10-19 times higher than stagnation pressure in L/D = 1.4, 8-18 times in L/D = 1.6, 9-17 times in L/D = 1.8 and 4-16 times in L/D = 2. Hugoniot pressures show higher in ratio L/D = 1.8 and lower in ratio L/D = 1.6. Stagnation pressure show higher in ratio L/D = 2.0 and lower in ratio L/D 1.4

    Prototype System of Processing and Bottled Drink Filling Based on PLC

    A prototype system for processing system and filling of drinks packaging using the PLC Omron CPM2A as central to the process and use the HMI as the interface to ease operator to set and view the condition of the system in real-time. There are 3 types of choice of materials that can be processed, in the process of processing liquid material will be transmitted to the main tank to be processed by means of heated and stirred with a mixer. When finished processing the results of processing will be filled into bottles. The results of tests on the prototype in part the processing in accordance with the design. There are 3 choices of beverage products namely coffemilk, Milktea and coffetea. On the third option can be processing operations properly. On the process of charging operations properly. On Charging there is 2 options i.e 200 ml and 250 ml. but for correctness of filling volume experiencing error 7-8%

    BER Performance Analysis on AWGN Channel and Fading Channel by Using Diversity Method

    In the last decades the development of telecommunications technology has increased. In the network access, one of the factors that influences was multipath fading. This study was aimed to simulate the effect of noise on digital communication error detection for various combinations of Eb / No, as well as simulating the effect of various diversity techniques on BER values. In this study the performance of the wireless network communication system was measured in bit error rate (BER) as a function of the ratio of bit energy to noise power. Result of simulation from AWGN channels obtained BER values at Eb / No are 2dB, 4dB, 6dB and 8dB, respectively 4 x 10-2, 1.2 x 10-2, 2.2 x 10-3 and 2 x 10-4. The BER results on fading channels using spatial diversity were better than BER on fading channels without any use of antenna diversity with a difference of 10dB
