The Enhancement of Narrative Writing Skills through the Use of Accordion Book for 1st Grade Students in Lesanpuro 1 Elementary School, Malang
Based on the interviews with the 1 st -grade teachers at Lesanpuro 1 Elementary School, it is found that the students have difficulties in writing a narrative story. Due to the learning activity that is not concrete, students tend to have difficulty to produce ideas because the teachers seldom use the help of media and writing example. So, from this study, it is important to do an action by using the accordion book. In this case, teachers become the model of writing by using the accordion book as its media. This research outlines two cycles in the observation. The results from the first cycle revealed that the writing ability of students who are above average is increased by 31,33 % and 37,33 % for the average students, then, as for the students who are considered to be below average, their writing skills are increased by 29 %. Furthermore, the second cycle showed that the writing ability of students who are below average is increased by 41,67 %, average students by 35,67 %, and above average by 39,67 %. Thus, it is expected that the teachers could create an interesting and innovative media so that students will enjoy the learning activity
Incidence and Molecular Identification of Escherichia Coli Harbouring Gentamicin Resistant Gene among Pregnant Women
Pregnant-origin Gram negative enteric bacteria, particularly, Escherichia coli isolates were exposed to tests for resistance phenotype using Kirby-Bauer’s disk-diffusion assay and for gentamicin resistance genotype using aacC2gene, codifying for one specific aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme. The incidence of Enterobacteriaceae was 31 (21.8%), emerged from142 midstream urine (MSU) samples, including symptomatic (17.6%) and asymptomatic (25.7%) bacteriuria. Women with age brackets from 15-44 years were studied. Age group 25-29 years scored the highest incidence rate of infection (29.2%), while age group 35-39 years exhibited the lowest incidence rate. Data described previously were statistically insignificant (P value > 0.05). Remarkably, significant differences (P value <0.05) observed concerning gestational ages when third (32.81%) and second (14.81%) trimesters were noticed with the highest rate of bacteriuria, respectively. E. coli distinguished as the most predominant (41.9%), followed by Klebssiella pneumoniae (19.4%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (12.9%), consecutively. Seven other uropathogens were identified with a lesser frequency. Isolates subjected to numerous antibiotics and results revealed fully resistance to pencillin G and amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, while (96.8%) possessed resistant to amoxicillin, cephlexin, and vancomycin. However, amikacin still acting perfectly (90.3%) against all the isolates, especially towards E. coli (92.3%). Concurrently, the antimicrobial potency of streptomycin, ciprofloxacin, and ceftriaxone were (92.3%), (84.6%), and (77%) respectively, when assayed opposite E. coli strains solely. Phenotypically, (30.8%) of E. coli strains, which stand for about (32.3%) of the whole isolates, were resistance to gentamicin. 75% of phenotypically gentamicin resistance E. coli demonstrated genotypically as harbouring the aacC2 gene
On the Matrix Domain in the Sequence u
In this paper, I introduce a new sequence space as u the domain of four dimensional generalized difference matrix and as a generalization of the series space . I give some topological properties with some inclusion relations. Moreover, I calculate beta(u)- and gamma- duals of the new sequence space . In the last section I characterize some matrix classes and I conclude B (u) the paper with some important results
Constraction of p-Adic Gibbs Measure for p-Adic λ-Ising Model
In this work we establish the existence of the p-adic Gibbs measure for the p-adic λ-Ising model on the Cayley tree of order two. In the previous studies, p-adic Ising model and p-adic λ-model were distinctly studied in many papers with the various properties. In this work, it is the first we combined both p-adic Ising model and p-adic λ-model on the Cayley tree of order two. In this research we only establish the model and we proved the existence of the p-adic Gibbs measures in the p-adic case. Here, we use the methods of p-adic analysis, and then, our results do not work in the real case
Review on Some Sequence Spaces of p-adic Numbers
In this paper, we make a literature review on p-adic sequences and we prove some new topological properties on the sequence spaces w(p), l∞(p) and c(p) of p-adic numbers as the set of all sequences, the set of bounded sequences and the set of convergent sequences of p-adic numbers, respectively. We show that these sequence spaces are Banach spaces under some certain topological properties. Moreover we prove some inclusion relation between these sequence spaces. We construct the α-, β- and γ duals of sequence spaces w(p), l∞(p) and c(p), and of p-adic numbers. We conclude the paper with characterizations of some significant matrix classes
Rural Areas: The Real Home of the Nigerian Economy
The current troubles facing the Nigerian economy seem insurmountable. Should we speak of the current recession or the oil crash experienced in the international market? Should the case of oil-pipe vandalization as well as that of insurgency be breached? We could as well debate on the fall of the naira as against the US dollars and other recognized currencies in the international market. This could go on and on. It is as a consequence of this that this study tried to look at the central position of rural communities in finding lasting solutions to these economic woes. The utilitarian theory was employed in examining the phenomenon. The study revealed that rural areas can go a long way to advance the Nigerian economy if properly taken care of but if the current underuse of rural resources continues, the economy could be derailed. It is therefore recommended that renewed efforts should be made to explore the resources available in rural areas in order to tremendously increase the wealth of the nation as soon as possible
Gauging the Association of Employability Skills and Being Employable among Students
The current study is to measure the employability skills of students and to assess how employability skills are perceived in higher educations. Three sets of employability skills have been used such as Basic Academic Skills, Personal Qualities and High-Order Thinking. A questionnaire has been developed and distributed among students in universities, Erbil, Kurdistan. Respondents’ opinions were assessed using a Likert scale analysis that shows opinions between two extremes of levels of agreement and disagreement. The current study focuses on the employability skills of students by evaluating the courses they have been taken. Study find out that communication skills, team working skills, computer skills, and critical thinking were among the employability skills which are expected by potential employers. The paper concludes that students have developed an adequate level of employability skill through Basic academic Skills and Personal Qualities leading to High Order Thinking
Reading Comprehension Strategies
The academic success of the university students greatly depends on the mastery of an academic reading skill. However, students as well as teachers, take the learning of this skill for granted, as they tend to presuppose that reading skill is acquired as a part of their secondary education. As a result, most first-year students employ non university strategies to read academic texts, which leads to a surface approach to reading and prevents students from a better understanding of the material. This paper will discuss the strategies that involve students in taking a deep approach to reading academic texts
Analysis of Antenna Types Performance in Mobile Phone Base Station
The paper is evaluate the usage antenna type k742225 in Kalar towers mobile phone base station in Asia cell in Kurdistan in south of Sulymaniya. By studying the characteristics of the above type of antenna in this paper a comparison made between the performance of antenna type k742225 and Kathrein antenna other types for Kalar towers mobile phone base station in Asia cell by using the Tool Site master. Simulation results indicate that antenna type k742225depends on the network environment and different environments may lead to different optimization results in terms of capacity and coverage performance. The result shows that coverage analysis best compare to Kathrein antenna other types, Kathrein antennas type k742225 still have better performance in term of coverage enhancement and interference control. This pattern we can see the first NULL of Kathrein antenna type k742225 show better attenuation than Kathrein antenna other types and also it have bigger vertical beam width and under the antenna Kathrein have more propagation. To finding the suitable Kathrein antenna type is a very critical issue in cellular network, since it affects the system performance, aiming to enhance the signal strengths of serving cells, in addition to reducing the interference levels with the cellular system
