Among the various data provided by delocutive derivation, which greatly contributes to word-formation, there are some tricky and debatable cases in Russian and other Slavic languages. By delocutuve derivation, we mean creation of lexical units based, synchroni- cally or/and diachronically, on quotations of an utterance, of a phrase or any other speech element, quotations placed in a typical situation of speech interaction. Delocutivity can be considered as kindred to univerbation in a broad sense

The preparation of the language certification program of Ukrainian as a foreign language resulted in the need to create a basic Ukrainian
language dictionary, thanks to which it would be possible to create both examination tasks and new textbooks for learners. In this
article, the author shows the current proposals for the certification of Ukrainian language created in Kiev and Lviv and requirements from
the candidates at the basic level A1. The next part shows examples of creating similar dictionaries for French and Polish. Two proposals
to conduct research on the structure of languages are adjusted to the specifics of each of them. The article discusses the methodology of
conducting research and the final effect. The summary contains suggestions for conducting similar research for the Ukrainian language
Anthropological and linguistic images of the soul in an intercultural perspective. Vol. 3. The axiosphere of the soul - the soul in the soul in the axiosphere
Niniejszy tom stanowi kontynuację międzynarodowej i interdyscyplinarnej debaty nad antropologiczno-językowymi wizerunkami duszy w perspektywie międzykulturowej, rozpoczętej w 2015 roku w ramach konferencji "Świat oczyma duszy - dusza w oczach świata". The monograph "The axiosphere of the soul - the soul in the soul in the axiosphere" is the second collective work in the series " Anthropological and linguistic images of the soul in an intercultural perspective". Approaching the subject-matter of the soul from a multicultural perspective allows for an insight into its realizations on a micro scale (focusing on national/regional specificities) and on a macro scale (as related to the universal values ascribed to the soul from the point view of the spiritual needs of the human being, observable in the cultures of spatially and temporarily distant groups). The present volume is a continuation of the international and interdisciplinary debate concerning the anthropological and linguistic images of the soul in an intercultural perspective, initiated in 2015 by the conference "The soul in the eyes of the world - the world through the eyes of the soul". It features articles prepared for the second conference, which took place in 2017 and was devoted to issues of axiology. As many of the authors participated in both conferences, the texts sometimes refer to or elaborate on previous deliberations.Publikacja powstała w ramach zadania „Międzynarodowa konferencja naukowa Dusza w aksjosferze – aksjosfera duszy”, finansowanego w ramach umowy 695/P-DUN/2017 ze środków Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego

The results of linguoculturological analysis of the Russian and the Danish web-based media texts are described in the paper. The cultural and linguistic specifics of the representation of conceptual sphere of maternity media discourse – a fragment of the national conceptosphere composed of concepts as structural units – are considered. The research relevance is determined by the intense interest of modern scholars to the sociocultural content of the maternity phenomenon, as well as to the issue of the representation of the concept mother as one of the key cultural concepts in linguistic studies of various types. Comparative reference to the linguistic and linguoculturological representation of the key concepts of the Russian and Danish discourse of maternity – Mother / Mum (Moder / Mor) and Woman (Kvinde) allows making definite conclusions on the existence of their cultural and linguistic implementation features. This is due to both sociocultural and ethnopsychological factors: the predominance of interest in personal problems of women as part of the society in Danish media texts, and leveling the value of the personal in favor of the public and the national in the image of woman-mother produced in the Russian media texts; as well as interest to the maternity phenomenon as an opportunity for the social and personal development of woman in the Danish media discourse, and the prevalence of interest in the social aspects related to motherhood – in the Russian media discourse

The article shows the key role that academic paper titles play in presenting paper contents and burden, and demonstrates cultural and linguistic differences between the academic style in Russian and in English. The author explains the way the academic style is connected with language's grammatical structure and its culturespecific communicative patterns, and illustrates that the prevailing paper titles' patterns are predetermined by academic style dominants in a particular language. The fundamental difference in paper titles organization in Russian and English academic style is that in Russian the prevailing pattern in naming a paper has traditionally been an extended single noun group with several prepositional and postpositional subordinates, predominantly in Genitive. In English, on the contrary, the title in most cases consists in two parts connected by a column, full stop, conjunction or a preposition. That is why there is a communicative asymmetry in academic paper titles' verbalization principles in Russian and in English, as these principles are mostly language specific and have their own dominating linguistic patterns. It is also explicated that there is an asymmetry between academic paper titles in Russian and in English not only in their structure and organization, but in lexicon as well. That is why paper titles translated word-for-word from Russian into English often fail to map standard stylistic patterns characteristic to academic English. There are some comments as well on a rather new pattern in titling academic papers across languages. It has to do with using various expressive stylistic means, which never fail to attract peers' attention. There are also some comments on using "translator's false friends" in rendering academic paper titles from Russian into English, particularly by native Russian speakers. The research is based on extensive linguistic corpus data (10 000 paper titles authored by native Russian and English speakers), has practical implications and guidelines, as well as proposes some topical theoretical interpretations concerning its subject matter

Lexicon of Migrating Ideas in the Slavic Balkans, 18th-21st Centuries. Volume 2. History, Evolution, Revolution
Całości nadana została forma leksykonu, którego główny korpus składa się z haseł-artykułów na temat historii 27 wybranych idei najpierw antycypujących, a następnie modelujących procesy modernizacyjne w regionie: agraryzm, anarchizm, ewolucja, humanizm, historia, kapitalizm, klerykalizacja, konfesje, konserwatyzm, kształcenie, kultura, liberalizm, naród, nowoczesność, ojczyzna, oświata, oświecenie, polityka, postęp, racjonalizm, reformacja, religia, rewolucja, sekularyzacja, socjalizm, tradycja, uniwersalizm. The second volume of the extensive monograph by Polish Slavic studies scholars (with contributions from scholars from a number of foreign research centres), made possible by an NCN OPUS grant (2014/13/B/HS2/01057). In terms of form, the monograph is a lexicon, the main body of which consists of entries-articles on the history of 27 selected ideas that anticipated and shaped the processes of modernization in the region: agrarianism , anarchism, evolution, humanism, history, capitalism, clericalization , confessions, conservatism, education, culture, liberalism, nation, modernity, homeland, schooling, enlightenment, politics, progress, rationalism, reformation, religion, revolution, secularization , socialism, tradition, and universalism. Their semantics, changeable as it was in response to local conditions, was investigated separately for each of the seven current states of the southern Slavdom: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Volume 2 presents three mutually corresponding ideas - history, evolution and revolution. The book contains many synthetically expressed, original, and source-based insights of the scholars on the southern Slavic cultures’ struggles with modernity.Publikacja powstała w ramach projektu badawczego pt. „Idee wędrowne na słowiańskich Bałkanach (XVIII–XX w.)”, sfinansowanego ze środków Narodowego Centrum Nauki (nr projektu 2014/13/B/HS2/01057)
Анна Вежбицкая: язык, культура, коммуникация
The Introductory article to the second part of the Special Issue dedicated to Anna Wierzbicka’s anniversary focuses on her research in the domain of language and culture interchange. It overviews the fundamental concepts of Wierzbicka’s research program, those of cultural keywords and cultural scripts within the cultural semantics and ethnopragmatics paradigm. As is the case with other Wierzbicka’s linguistic studies, the analysis involves representation of meaning in terms of universal human concepts of the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM). The article also discusses the concept of Minimal Language as a recent
development in the NSM programme and associated research into various fields
