THE 5-DOOR APPROACH TO ELEARNING FOR THE INTERREG EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH, SOCIAL, AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION MANAGEMENT (EXCELLENCE-IN-RESTI)

    No full text
12th International Technology, Education and Development Conference, 5-7 March, Valencia, Spain12 partners from 9 countries in the Danube Region formed a collaborative learning community to design, test, and offer a quality Excellence in Research, Social and Technological Innovation Project Management Programme with the core purpose of increasing the capacity for EU project acquisition, planning, and implementation. The project is funded by the EU Interreg Danube Transitional Programme and lead by The Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), Vienna, Austria. The target audience are young professionals, but the programme is open to all interested learners. The curriculum is composed of five modules and 20 classes—offering information, advice, theories, processes, methods and tools to lead participants to success with their projects. The classes are structured to align with the ECTS credit system in EU universities and participants will earn a Certificate of Completion from the Project Consortium. The curriculum will be piloted during an entire year with three face-to-face events, but is intended to be offered fully online and completed through self-assessment in each step.Wirtschaf

Though, significant efforts have led to high solder joint quality, thermomechanical fatigue and delamination of the solder joints are still considered as one main failure cause in Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) power modules. Frequently used test procedures such as accelerated power cycling and thermal cycling allow to rate reliability and to predict lifetime under assumed power load conditions. However, these tests are less capable of detecting the root physical failure cause. In this paper a non-destructive thermal method to observe the successive effect of solder layer fatigue is suggested and discussed. Somewhat similar to power cycling, the method is based on an accelerated temperature cycling process where the power component is self-heated. The resulting change of thermal conductivity of the solder joint due to degradation is detected by contactless temperature measurement. First metallurgical analyses confirm the degraded solder structure as cause of the thermal changes due to aging.Energie-Umweltmanagemen

Connected cars — Threats, vulnerabilities and their impact

    No full text
The growing demand for interoperability between system components within a connected car has led to new security challenges in automotive development. The existing components, based on established technology, are often being combined to form such a connected car. For such established technologies, individual, often sector specific threat and vulnerability catalogs exist. The aim of this paper is to identify blocks of established technologies in a connected car and to consolidate the corresponding threat and vulnerability catalogs relevant for the individual constituent components. These findings are used to estimate the impact on specific system components and subsystems to identify the most crucial components and threats.

Wirtschaf
