    [[abstract]]儘管AI科技執法仍是一個相對較新的概念,且處於初期實施階段,警政各單位卻越來越重視AI科技的發展並應用在公共安全服務上。然而AI科技執法要能產生實質功效,並保障人民生命財產安全,仍需警政高層在制訂公共安全服務策略上與實際執行公共安全服務的指引等配套措施,都能讓警察同仁於日常工作上感受到AI應用的廣度與深度,且對於AI科技執法可提高民眾滿意度而深信不疑。因此,本研究以IT同化理論和公共價值理論為基礎,發展出一個實證模型,並以此檢驗台灣警政系統導入AI公共安全服務是否可為台灣民眾創造公共價值。研究結果呈現AI科技的組織內同化廣度與同化深度,對於警政人員的日常公共安全服務輔以AI科技執法暨警政機構公共安全服務策略聚焦AI之應用同時存在顯著影響。其次在公共安全科技執法的逐步試點與應用過程中,所獲得的經驗與成效回饋,會更加強化警政單位制訂AI科技全面輔助執法的策略決心,進而提升警政公共安全價值與民眾滿意度。[[abstract]]Although AI technology is still in the initial stage of implementation for government service, national police agency are paying more attention to the application of AI technology in public safety services. However, in order to protect the safety of people and improve citizens’ satisfaction, it is necessary to formulate AI strategies of public security service and implement public security AI services. This paper employs IT assimilation theory and public value theory to develop a theoretical model that examines whether the introduction of AI-enabled police services would generate public value for citizens in Taiwan. The results show that the breadth and depth of AI assimilation within the organization have significant impacts on AI operational public service for citizens and AI strategic public service for citizens. Secondly, in the process of piloting AI-enabled police services, the experience and feedback gained will further strengthen the determination of police agency to apply AI technology in police service, thereby enhancing the public value of police service and citizen’s satisfaction

    [[abstract]]經營管理中,領導人可以藉由人員管理,打造一個完美致勝的團隊,在管理學之中利害關係人管理為管理上重要一部分,而一個管理者不管是向上對長官溝通管理或是向下對團隊人員管理,即屬於是組織內部的利害關係人管理。但在近年來,人們壓力與日俱增,根據調查指出,主要壓力來源即為職場上「工作壓力」,而飛機修護工作屬於需高專注力與高風險的危險工作,適當的工作壓力能夠提高人員效率,不過壓力過大就會影響人員的工作效率與健康,最嚴重甚至會導致工作人員生命安全與飛機裝備損壞情況發生。有鑑於此,本研究首先藉由相關飛機修護與工作壓力來源之文獻回顧,並整理找出工作壓力來源關鍵因素構面,再以問卷調查方式做資料收集,最後經由AHP分析法選出最為影響之關鍵來源因素,並據以提出,在人員管理上,能有效管理降低人員工作壓力。[[abstract]]In business management, leaders can build a perfect winning team through personnel management. Stakeholder management is an important part of management, and it applies to both upward communication with superiors and downward communication with team members. However, in recent years, people have experienced increasing stress, with work-related stress being the main source. Aircraft maintenance is a high-risk and high-concentration job, and appropriate work stress can improve personnel efficiency. However, excessive stress can affect work efficiency and health, and even cause life-threatening situations and aircraft equipment damage. Therefore, this study first reviews relevant literature on aircraft maintenance and work stress sources, identifies the key factors of work stress sources, and collects data through a questionnaire survey.     Attitudes toward People with Schizophrenia among Undergraduate Nursing Students

    [[abstract]]Background: Negative attitudes toward mental disorders are not only an interpersonal issue but also a concern of mental health care. Given that nursing students are future health care providers, it is pivotal to improve their attitudes toward individuals with mental disorders prior to their transition into clinical practice. However, research on nursing students’ attitudes in relation to schizophrenia in Taiwan remains unexplored. Aim: The aim of this article is to examine the correlates of attitudes toward individuals with schizophrenia among Taiwanese undergraduate nursing students. Method: A descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional study was adopted. Self-reported questionnaires were conducted with a convenience sample of 306 Taiwanese undergraduate nursing students. Descriptive statistics, independent t tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlations, and a stepwise regression analysis were performed. Results: Nursing students expressed negative attitudes toward individuals with schizophrenia. Nursing students, who were female, had contact with individuals with mental disorders, and expressed greater empathy and personality traits held more favorable attitudes toward individuals with schizophrenia. The study found that empathy, personality traits, and academic year were the most crucial attributes contributing to attitudes of nursing students toward individuals with schizophrenia. Conclusion: Findings suggest that nursing education programs with empathy- and personality-tailored modules in mental health are pivotal to provide humanistic approaches with supportive attitudes regarding schizophrenia

    Comparison of Long-term Effects of Exergaming (Xbox one kinet) and Companionship Programs on Attitude Towards Dementia and the Older Adults Among Adolescents: A Quasi-experimental Longitudinal Study.

    [[abstract]]Background: Many studies have been performed on the use of intergenerational programs to improve the negative attitudes and misunderstandings of adolescents toward older people with dementia. However, the findings of these studies are inconclusive. The aim of this study was to compare the long-term effects of exergaming (Kinect) and companionship programs on attitudes toward dementia and the elderly among adolescents. Methods: A quasi-experimental longitudinal design was used. A total of 200 adolescents aged 12-18 years old were recruited from nine schools in northern Taiwan. The adolescents were assigned to five different groups, namely, a 5-week exergaming group, a 5-week companion group, an 8-week exergaming group, an 8-week companion group, and a control group, using a single blinding procedure. Data collection was performed pretest, post-test and at 1, 3 and 6 months after the post-test. The long-term effects of the two programs (i.e., exergaming and companionship) were analyzed using a generalized estimating equation. Results: Regarding attitudes toward dementia, the 8-week exergaming group had a significantly better attitude than the control group at the 6-month follow-up (p < 0.001). Similarly, the results of the 8-week companion group also showed a significantly improved attitude compared with the control group at the 6-month follow-up (p = 0.041). Regarding attitudes toward the elderly, the 8-week exergaming group had a significantly better attitude than the control group at the 6-month follow-up (p < 0.001). The 8-week companion group had a similar effect on better attitude compared with the control group at the 6-month follow-up (p = 0.016). Furthermore, the 5-week companion group showed a significant improvement compared with the control group at the 6-month follow-up (p = 0.004). Conclusions: Spending companionship time with older adults is beneficial for improving the attitudes of adolescents toward the elderly. Furthermore, exergaming improves the attitudes of adolescents toward both dementia and older adults. Trial registration: Chinese Clinical Trial Registry: ChiCTR2100053003 .     Exploring pre-service teachers’ professional development of spherical video-based virtual reality application for language teaching from multimodal perspectives

    [[abstract]]During the COVID-19 pandemic, campuses are closed, and many schools are forced to transition to online instruction. There are many problems in landscape architecture education during the pandemic such as students’ decreased attention, poor self-regulation, low proactivity, and difficulty in grading. In addition, situational effects are required for landscape architecture education, but online education lacks the necessary case scenarios for courses during the pandemic. In order to solve these problems, the present study adopted a more accessible, and interactive spherical video-based immersive virtual reality (SV-IVR) approach, developed a landscape architecture SV-IVR learning system, and conducted a quasi-experimental study to examine its effectiveness. The results indicated that the experimental group students showed more positive results in their learning achievements, learning attitudes, and self-regulation than the control group. Besides, it was found that students required more time to develop their self-efficacy and that this system would not have an effect on students’ cognitive load

    The Visual Attention and Psychological Responses from Older Customers to Wellness Service Pictures of Hotels

    [[abstract]]Understanding the visual attention and psychological responses of consumers to marketing pictures allows hotel managers to design more attractive advertisements. Therefore, the purposes of the present study were to use an eye-tracking analysis to explore whether there were different effects from tourist hotels' wellness service pictures based on whether they had natural or built clues. The psychological responses with regard to perceived well-being and willingness to pay were also examined. Eighty-five older consumers were recruited. Their eye movement performance while observing marketing pictures with different visual clues and their subsequent psychological responses were measured. It was found that wellness service pictures with natural clues captured more visual attention and induced higher willingness-to-pay perceptions than those with built clues in these older consumers. The present results suggest that marketing pictures with natural clues may create positive visual responses in older customers and further enhance their purchase intention

    [[abstract]]研究之目的為探討森林環境與都市環境,對於受試者生心理影響是否有顯著差 異,進而探討森林環境之功效。本研究選定都市環境(臺灣大學)與森林環境(鳳凰自然教育 園區與和社自然教育園區)分別作為比較試驗場域,探討在不同的環境下,受試者生理反 應與心理反應的差異,進一步驗證森林環境對於個體生心理狀態的影響。生理指標採用心 跳變異率(Heart Rate Variability, HRV),代表交感與副交感神經功能,心理指標則採用大學 生生活壓力量表與POMS盤斯心情量表。研究對象挑選自願之生理試驗受試者學生16名, 問卷發放對象則為臺灣大學之學生,問卷回收後有效樣本60份。研究結果顯示16名受試者 在不同環境下心跳變異率變化(包含LF值、HF值、以及LF/HF比值)無顯著差異,代表受試 者的交感神經與副交感神經功能於都市與森林環境中並無差別。心理試驗部分結果顯示不 同環境下受試者於大學生日常生活壓力評價中之學校課業、人際關係以及感情/異性交往 層面有顯著差異,家庭層面與人生目標層面則無顯著差異。情緒狀態量表(Profile of Moon State, POMS)部分則顯示不同環境下受試者於困惑、疲勞、憤怒、緊張、沮喪、活力等六 個層面有顯著差異,於自尊層面則無顯著差異

    An accurate valvular heart disorders detection model based on a new dual symmetric tree pattern using stethoscope sounds

    [[abstract]]Background and purpose Valvular heart disease (VHD) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Echocardiography is the reference standard for VHD diagnosis but is not universally accessible. Manual cardiac auscultation is inadequate for screening VHD. Many machine learning models using heart sounds acquired with an electronic stethoscope may improve the accuracy of VHD diagnosis. We aimed to develop an accurate sound classification model for VHD diagnosis. Materials and methods A new large stethoscope sound dataset containing 10,366 heart sounds divided into ten categories (nine VHD and one healthy) were prospectively collected. We developed a handcrafted learning model that comprised multilevel feature extraction based on a dual symmetric tree pattern (DSTP) and multilevel discrete wavelet transform (DWT), feature selection, and classification. The multilevel DWT was used to create subbands to extract features at both high and low levels. Then, iterative neighborhood component analysis was used to select the most discriminative 512 features from among the extracted features in the generated feature vector. In the classification phase, a support vector machine (SVM) was used with 10-fold cross-validation (CV) and leave-one-subject-out (LOSO) CV. Results Our proposed DSTP-based model attained 99.58% and 99.84% classification accuracies using SVM classifier with 10-fold CV and LOSO CV, respectively. Conclusions The presented DSTP-based classification model attained excellent multiclass classification performance on a large prospective heart sound dataset at a low computational cost

    Application of Photoplethysmography signals for Healthcare systems: An in-depth review

    [[abstract]]Background and objectives: Photoplethysmography (PPG) is a device that measures the amount of light absorbed by the blood vessel, blood, and tissues, which can, in turn, translate into various measurements such as the variation in blood flow volume, heart rate variability, blood pressure, etc. Hence, PPG signals can produce a wide variety of biological information that can be useful for the detection and diagnosis of various health problems. In this review, we are interested in the possible health disorders that can be detected using PPG signals. Methods: We applied PRISMA guidelines to systematically search various journal databases and identified 43 PPG studies that fit the criteria of this review. Results: Twenty-five health issues were identified from these studies that were classified into six categories: cardiac, blood pressure, sleep health, mental health, diabetes, and miscellaneous. Various routes were employed in these PPG studies to perform the diagnosis: machine learning, deep learning, and statistical routes. The studies were reviewed and summarized. Conclusions: We identified limitations such as poor standardization of sampling frequencies and lack of publicly available PPG databases. We urge that future work should consider creating more publicly available databases so that a wide spectrum of health problems can be covered. We also want to promote the use of PPG signals as a potential precision medicine tool in both ambulatory and hospital settings
