    疫情能否讓AI投顧機器人與警察人員邂逅?

    [[abstract]]過去十年,AI投顧服務是金融科技的典範應用,且受到金融市場投資人的關注。然而,過往關於AI投顧服務的諸多研究主要集中在性能開發與績效改善方面,且未有研究針對警察人員於疫情期間對AI投顧服務的採用意願進行關注。本研究整合信任影響機制文獻,探討信任轉移理論的六個影響研究構念,以測試警察人員對於AI投顧的採用意願。本研究模型經由176位警察人員的問卷調查實證,並發現政府監管的重要影響作用,且驗證其他信任影響因素,包括公司聲譽、服務承諾與科技信任和AI投顧服務採用意願之間存在顯著間接關係。因此,本研究通過對AI投顧服務的深入調查,可促進業者加速從傳統金融服務邁向金融科技服務的轉變,達到社會普惠金融與永續發展之目的。[[abstract]]Over the last decade, robo-advisor has been a typical application of fintech and have attracted more attention from investors in the financial market. However, many studies on robo-advisor have focused on performance improvement. No research has focused on the intention to adopt robo-advisor for police officers during the epidemic. This study integrates trust influence mechanism and explores the six constructs of trust transfer theory to test the intention to use robo-advisor for police officers. This model was tested via a survey of 176 police officers. we found the important influence of government regulation and verified that there are significant indirect relationships between other trust influencing factors, including company reputation, service commitment, trust in technologies, and willingness to adopt robo-advisor. Therefore, through an in-depth investigation of robo-advisor, this study can promote the industry transition from traditional financial services to fintech services, and achieve the goal of social inclusive finance and sustainable development

    [[abstract]]二十一世紀新興經濟體城市化和工業化快速發展,加上氣候變遷與COVID-19,致飲用水品質下降,民眾對淨水器的需求大幅增加,服務人員必須針對客戶需求推薦其適用的淨水設備。然而,服務人員管理對企業而言是一項艱鉅複雜工作,且是產品是否順利銷售的重大關鍵因素。顧客對服務人員的專業知識、信任、互動和風險知覺,是企業與顧客是否建立長期關係起點,且有機會讓顧客關係管理長期有利可圖。然而迄今為止,諸多企業對顧客關係管理研究,很少以顧客對服務人員的知覺為研究課題。此外,現有研究多以西方已開發國家為分析對象,因此,本研究選擇開發中國家的台灣為研究對象進行分析。本研究依據社會交換理論建構研究模型,並蒐集159位家庭客戶的有效樣本進行結構方程式分析。最後,本研究針對實證結果進行討論,萃取實務意涵,並對企業提出銷售力管理建議。[[abstract]]The urbanization and industrialization in emerging economies, coupled with climate change and COVID-19, has declined the quality of drinking water and increased the demand of water purifiers significantly. However, sales force management is a difficult task and a key factor of success of products for enterprises. The knowledge, trust, interaction and risk perception of sales force are to make customer relationship management profitable in the long term. However, so far, there is rarely to study the customer's perception of sales force as the research topic of customer relationship management. In addition, most of the existing research focuses on developed countries. Therefore, this study selects Taiwan, which is a developing country, as the research object for analysis. Our research model is based on social exchange theory, and collects valid samples of 159 family customers for structural equation analysis. Finally, we discusse the empirical results, extracts practical implications, and proposes sales force management recommendations for the company

    A retrospective cohort study on outcome and interactions among prognostic factors of endodontic microsurgery

    [[abstract]]The overall EMS success rate was 89.9% in this study. Tooth type (anteriors vs. molars, odds ratio (OR) = 6.83, P = 0.001, anteriors vs. premolars, OR = 4.27, P = 0.010) and endodontic-periodontal (endo-perio) communicating defects (with vs. without, OR = 4.92, P = 0.005) both had a significant influence on the EMS outcome. The negative impact of endo-perio communicating defects was closely associated with tooth type. Premolars with endo-perio communicating defects had significantly higher rates of failure

    Ameliorative Potential of Hot Compress on Sciatic Nerve Pain in Chronic Constriction Injury-Induced Rat Model

    [[abstract]]Hot compress modalities are used to ameliorate pain despite prevalent confusion about which modality should be used and when. Most recommendations for hot compresses are based on empirical experience, with limited evidence to support its efficacy. To obtain insight into the nerve transmission mechanism of hot compresses and to identify the nerve injury marker proteins specifically associated with sciatic nerve pain, we established a rat model of chronic constriction injury (CCI) and performed mechanical allodynia, electrophysiology, and histopathological analysis. All CCI rats exhibited geometric representation of the affected hind paw, which indicated a hyper-impact on both mechanical gait and asymmetry of gait on day 28. The CCI model after 28 days of surgery significantly reduced compound muscle action potential (CMAP) amplitude, but also significantly reduced latency. Administration of hot compress for 3 weeks (heated at 40-42°C, cycle of 40 min, and rest for 20 min, three cycles each time, three times per week) significantly increased the paw withdrawal thresholds in response to stimulation by Von Frey fibers and reversed the CCI-induced reduced sciatic functional index (SFI) scores. Hot compress treatment in the CCI model improved CMAP amplitude and latency. The S100 protein expression level in the CCI+Hot compression group was 1.5-fold higher than in the CCI group; it dramatically reduced inflammation, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha and CD68 expression in nerve injury sites. Synaptophysin (Syn) expression in the CCI+Hot compression group was less than threefold in the CCI group at both nerve injury sites and brain (somatosensory cortex and hippocampus). This finding indicates that local nerve damage and inflammation cause significant alterations in the sensorimotor strip, and hot compress treatment could significantly ameliorate sciatic nerve pain by attenuating Syn and inflammatory factors from local pathological nerves to the brain. This study determines the potential efficacy and safety of hot compress, and may have important implications for its widespread use in sciatic nerve pain treatment

    [[abstract]]Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder involving the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc). Cellular clearance mechanisms, including the autophagy-lysosome pathway, are commonly affected in the pathogenesis of PD. The lysosomal Ca2+ channel mucolipin TRP channel 1 (TRPML1) is one of the most important proteins involved in the regulation of autophagy. Artemisia argyi Lev. et Vant., is a traditional Chinese herb, that has diverse therapeutic properties and is used to treat patients with skin diseases and oral ulcers. However, the neuroprotective effects of A. argyi are not explored yet. Hypothesis: This study aims is to investigate the neuroprotective effects of A. argyi in promoting the TRPML1-mediated autophagy/mitophagy-enhancing effect METHODS: In this study, we used 1-methyl-4-phenyl-pyridinium (MPP+)-induced PD model established in an SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line as well as in a 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-pyridine (MPTP)-induced PD model in C57BL/6 J mice. MTT assay was conducted to measure the cell viability and further MitoSoX and DCFDA assay were used to measure the ROS. Western blot analysis was used to access levels of TRPML1, p-DRP1 (ser616), p-AKT, PI3K, and β-catenin, Additionally, IF and IHC analysis to investigate the expression of TRPML1, LC3B, β-catenin, TH+, α-synuclein. Mitotracker stain was used to check mitophagy levels and a lysosomal intracellular activity kit was used to measure the lysosomal dysfunction. Behavioral studies were conducted by rotarod and grip strength experiments to check motor functions. Results: In our in vitro study, A. argyi rescued the MPP+-induced loss of cell viability and reduced the accumulation of mitochondrial and total reactive oxygen species (ROS). Subsequently, it increased the expression of TRPML1 protein, thereby inducing autophagy, which facilitated the clearance of toxic accumulation of α-synuclein. Furthermore, A. argyi played a neuroprotective role by activating the PI3K/AKT/β-catenin cell survival pathway. MPP+-mediated mitochondrial damage was overcome by upregulation of mitophagy and downregulation of the mitochondrial fission regulator p-DRP1 (ser616) in SH-SY5Y cells. In the in vivo study, A. argyi ameliorated impaired motor function and rescued TH+ neurons in the SNpc region. Similar to the results of the in vitro study, TRPML1, LC3B, and β-catenin expression was enhanced in the SNpc region in the A. argyi-treated mice brain. Conclusion: Thus, our results first demonstrate that A. argyi can exert neuroprotective effects by stimulating TRPML1 and rescuing neuronal cells by boosting autophagy/mitophagy and upregulating a survival pathway, suggesting that A. argyi can further be exploited to slow the progression of PD

    Dual inhibition of TGFβ signaling and CSF1/CSF1R reprograms tumor-infiltrating macrophages and improves response to chemotherapy via suppressing PD-L1

    [[abstract]]TGFβ contributes to chemoresistance in advanced colorectal cancer (CRC) via diverse immune-microenvironment mechanisms. Here, we found that cancer cell autonomous TGFβ directly triggered tumor programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) upregulation, resulting in resistance to chemotherapy. Inhibition of tumor PD-L1 expression sensitized cancer cells to chemotherapy, reduced lung metastasis and increased the influx of CD8+ T cells. However, chemorefractory cancer cell-derived CSF1 recruited TAMs for TGFβ-mediated PD-L1 upregulation via a vicious cycle. High infiltration of macrophages was clinically correlated with the status of tumor PD-L1 after chemotherapy treatment in CRC patients. We found that depletion of immunosuppressive CSF1R+ TAM infiltration and blockade of the TGFβ receptor resulted in an increased influx of cytotoxic CD8+ T and effector memory CD8+ cells, a reduction in regulatory T cells, and a synergistic inhibition of tumor growth when combined with chemotherapy. These findings show that CSF1R+ TAMs and TGFβ are the dominant components that regulate PD-L1 expression within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, providing a therapeutic strategy for advanced CRC patients

    Development of a Berg Balance Scale short-form using a machine learning approach in patients with stroke

    [[abstract]]Background and purpose: The Berg Balance Scale (BBS) is frequently used in routine clinical care and research settings and has good psychometric properties. This study was conducted to develop a short form of the BBS using a machine learning approach (BBS-ML). Methods: Data of 408 individuals poststroke were extracted from a published database. The initial (ie, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-item) versions were constructed by selecting top-ranked items based on the feature selection algorithm in the artificial neural network model. The final version of the BBS-ML was chosen by selecting the short form that used a smaller number of items to achieve a higher predictive power R2 , a lower 95% limit of agreement (LoA), and an adequate possible scoring point (PSP). An independent sample of 226 persons with stroke was used for external validation. Results: The R2 values for the initial 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-item short forms were 0.93, 0.95, 0.97, 0.97, and 0.97, respectively. The 95% LoAs were 14.2, 12.2, 9.7, 9.6, and 8.9, respectively. The PSPs were 25, 35, 34, 35, and 36, respectively. The 6-item version was selected as the final BBS-ML. Preliminary external validation supported its performance in an independent sample of persons with stroke ( R2 = 0.99, LoA = 10.6, PSP = 37). Discussion and conclusions: The BBS-ML seems to be a promising short-form alternative to improve administrative efficiency.     Practice effect and test-retest reliability of the Mini-Mental State Examination-2 in people with dementia

    [[abstract]]Background The Mini-Mental State Examination-Second Edition (MMSE-2) consists of three visions: a brief version (MMSE-2:BV), a standard version (MMSE-2:SV), and an expanded version (MMSE-2: EV). Each version was equipped with alternate forms (blue and red). There was a lack of evidence on the practice effect and test-retest reliability of the three versions of the MMSE-2, limiting its utility in both clinical and research settings. The purpose of this study was to examine the practice effect and test-retest reliability of the MMSE-2 in people with dementia. Methods One hundred and twenty participants were enrolled, of which 60 were administered with the blue form twice (i.e., the same-form group, [SF group]) and 60 were administered with the blue form first and then the red form (alternate-form group, [AF group]). The practice effect was evaluated using a paired t -test and Cohen’s d . The test-retest reliability was examined using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Results For the practice effects, in the SF group, no statistically significant differences were found for the MMSE-2:BV and MMSE-2: EV total scores and eight subtests ( p = 0.061–1.000), except for the MMSE-2:SV total score ( p = 0.029). In the AF group, no statistically significant differences were found for all three versions of the total scores and subtests ( p = 0.106–1.000), except for the visual-constructional ability subtest ( p = 0.010). Cohen’s d of all three versions’ total scores and subtests were 0.00–0.20 and 0.00–0.26 for SF group and AF group, respectively. For the test-retest reliability, ICC values for all three versions and eight subtests in SF and AF groups were 0.60–0.93 and 0.56–0.93, respectively. Conclusion Our results demonstrated that the practice effect could be minimized when alternate forms of the MMSE-2 were used. The MMSE-2 had good to excellent test-retest reliability, except for three subtests (i.e., visual-constructional ability, registration, and recall). Caution should be taken when interpreting the results of visual-constructional ability, registration, and recall subtests of the MMSE-2

    Research Trends and Hotspots of Q Fever Research: A Bibliometric Analysis 1990-2019

    [[abstract]]Q fever is a worldwide distributed zoonosis caused by Coxiella burnetii, a Gram-negative bacterium. Despite existence of large amount of research data on the developments related to Q fever, no bibliometric analysis of this subject is available to our knowledge. Bibliometric studies are an essential resource to track scholarly trends and research output in a subject. This study is aimed at reporting a bibliometric analysis of publications related to Q fever (2,840 articles published in the period 1990-2019) retrieved from Science Citation Index Expanded, an online database of Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection. Data was retrieved using keywords “Q fever” or “Coxiella burnetii” in title, abstract, and author keywords to describe important research indicators such as the kind and language of articles, the most important publications, research journals and categories, authors, institutions, and the countries having the most significant contribution to this subject. Finally, the emerging areas in field of diagnosis, host range, and clinical presentation were identified. Word cluster analysis of research related to Q fever revealed that major focus of research has been on zoonosis, seroprevalence, laboratory diagnosis (mainly using ELISA and PCR), clinical manifestations (abortion and endocarditis), vectors (ticks), and hosts (sheep, goat, and cattle). This bibliometric study is intended to visualize the existing research landscape and future trends in Q fever to assist in future knowledge exchange and research collaborations

    Single-cell RNA sequencing uncovers the individual alteration of intestinal mucosal immunocytes in Dusp6 knockout mice

    [[abstract]]Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) approach can broadly and specifically evaluate the individual cells with minimum detection bias. To explore the individual compositional and transcriptional alteration of intestinal leukocytes in the Dual Specificity Phosphatase six knockout (D6KO) mice, we performed a scRNA-seq followed by the cell type annotation based on ImmGen database. Composition assessments found that D6KO-derived intestinal leukocytes tend to stay inactivate or immature status. The enrichment analysis showed that D6KO-derived intestinal leukocytes are less sensitive to microbes. The mod PhEA phenotypic analysis showed that the D6KO leukocytes may link to not only immune-associated but also diverse previously non-immune-related diseases. Integrating our dataset with the published dataset GSE124880 generated a comprehensive dataset for exploring intestinal immunity. Down-regulation of Ccl17 gene was found in the D6KO-derived dendritic cells. Our results demonstrated the advantage of applying scRNA-seq for dissecting the individual alteration of intestinal leukocytes, particularly in the D6KO mice at a naive state
