Introduction: This doctoral thesis presents a compendium of 3 articles. The study consists of 3 stages and is developed in the university context, where the prevalence of stress and obesity is increasing worryingly.
Objectives: The first objective was to evaluate how mindfulness-based interventions impact stress and weight reduction. The second, to adapt a questionnaire on emotional eating in the university population. Lastly, the third aimed to investigate the influence of different independent variables on the level of emotional eating in three university populations. Methodology: Firstly, a systematic review and meta-analysis were carried out to assess the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing stress and weight in the short, medium, and long term. Secondly, the adaptation of a questionnaire on emotional eating in the university population of Huelva was proceeded with. Finally, in the third phase, the level of emotional eating among three Iberian Peninsula university populations was described and compared. In addition to this, a detailed analysis of the impact of various variables such as quality of life, anxiety, depression, sociodemographic, and anthropometric data was conducted to determine their influence on emotional eating. Results: The systematic review and meta-analysis confirmed that mindfulness-based interventions had a small effect in reducing stress over a 3-month period: effect size (standardized mean difference) = -0.29 (95% CI: -0.49, -0.10). However, no evidence was found for longer-term effects, nor in reducing weight or body mass index in any period. In the second article, the principal component analysis of the questionnaire showed two dimensions, explaining 56% of the variance. The internal consistency showed an overall Cronbach's alpha of 0.859 and between 0.841 and 0.855 if items were removed. The corrected item-total correlation yielded values from 0.444 to 0.687. The test-retest stability obtained an Intraclass Correlation Coefficient of 0.924 (p < 0.001). The prevalence of emotional eaters was high, being 66.6% in the Spanish sample and 74.5% in Portugal. The data showed significant negative correlations between the Emotional Eaters Questionnaire and quality of life, and positive with anxiety, depression, and body mass index, with Spearman coefficients ranging from -0.398 to 0.400, with one variable, quality of life, inversely correlating with EE: -0.398. The other variables correlated positively: anxiety 0.400, depression 0.360, and BMI 0.204. Comparing regression studies on emotional eating in university students from Spain and Portugal, differences are observed. In Spain, being female (β = 0.157) and in Portugal being male (β = -0.162) are associated with higher levels of emotional eating, as are higher levels of anxiety β = 0.179 (Spain) and β = 0.160 (Portugal), respectively. However, in both populations, a higher quality of life β = -0.201 (Spain) and -0.178 (Portugal) has been associated with lower levels of emotional eating. The predictive model's capacity applied to the Spanish population (21.3%) is greater than that for the Portuguese population (17.5%). Conclusions: Mindfulness-based interventions are effective in reducing stress in the short term, but not in longer periods and not for weight control. The second article found favorable fit indices for the questionnaire, demonstrating its reliability and validity. The third study revealed significant differences in the level of emotional eating among the populations studied, as well as differences in the variables influencing emotional eating.Enfermerí
Development of an Optimized Non-Linear Model for Precise Dew Point Estimation in Variable Environmental Conditions
Accurate dew point estimation is crucial for measuring water condensation in various fields
such as environmental studies, agronomy, or water harvesting, among others. Despite the numerous
models and equations developed over time, including empirical and machine learning approaches,
they often involve trade-offs between accuracy, simplicity, and computational cost. A major limitation
of the current approaches is the lack of balance among these three factors, limiting their practical
applications under diverse conditions. This research addresses these key challenges by developing a
new, streamlined equation for dew point estimation. Using the Magnus–Tetens equation, deemed
as the most reliable equation, as a benchmark, and by applying a process of non-linear regression
fitting and parametric optimization, a new equation was derived. The results demonstrate high
accuracy with a streamlined implementation, validated through extensive data and computational
simulations. This study highlights the importance of accurate dew point modeling, especially under
variable environmental conditions, provides a reliable solution to existing limitations, paving the
way for enhanced efficiency in related processes and research endeavors, and offers researchers and practitioners a practical tool for more effective modeling of water condensation phenomena. This work was supported by the project entitled “Renewable energies for Africa: Effective

The present paper aims at the study of how high impact instagrammers use their accounts
to disseminate children’s literature. This paper is also concerned with the responses they get to
their different types of posts from their followers through engagement to check their interest in
that content. The sample has been taken from 220 publications on 11 non-profit accounts. A study
has been undertaken by which the account characteristics have been identified and its content has
been analysed through the adaptation of a data collection instrument which has been previously
validated. Data has been collected and analysed with Excel to compare accounts with higher and lower
engagement. Among other results, a noteworthy fact is that those accounts with higher engagement
present recommended readings along with teaching resources for pre-primary education; the higher
the number of followers, the lower engagement becomes. Discussion and conclusions: the paper shows
that the recommendations are generally limited to bibliographical references and reference to content
does not therefore go far enough. Those publications which get higher interaction mainly offer reels,
children’s poetry or give support on how to create teaching resources. The procedure can be applied to
other samples.

Effects of social support during a first psychotic episode in young adults: a systematic review
través de Pubmed, Web Of Science, SCOPUS, Medline
The psychosis can be defined as the appearance
of psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations,
delusions, disorganized thinking and others symptoms
such as anhedonia, abulia, alogia and flattened
affect. The aim of the present systematic review is to
know what effects are generated when an individual
who experiences a first psychotic episode (FEP) receives
social support from his or her close circle. The
inclusion criteria includes research articles or systematic
reviews with a publication date between 2012
and 2024, individuals with a diagnosis of FEP, level
of social support measured through psychometric
tests, and belonging to an age range between 18
and 30 years. The search for studies is carried out

analyzing the studies, it is indicated that social
support generates positive results such as the reduction
in the duration of psychotic symptoms, the
development of feelings of being understood and
both adaptation and coping strategies in healthy lifestyles
Transnational treatment of commercial companies by the integrated Private International Law, a still unattained achievement in Europe and Latin America
A grande
Since there is a globalized and essentially changing economic
environment, both natural and legal persons change their domicile, residence
or headquarters, and with this, this controversy is being raised for the
latter, including their nationality. The big question is whether notions such as nationality or domicile are comparable between both types of people.
And although from integration environments such as those sponsored by
MERCOSUR and other Latin American regions, as well as by the European
Union (EU), the facilitating process of movements of for-profit legal entities
has reached levels of great intensity (even reaching the European case to
previously unthinkable aspects such as total changes of headquarters or the
loss of personality in the country of founding or origin), the participating
States in the aforementioned areas, and in contrast to other aspects of Private
International Law that have been unified (in the EU through Regulations, the
only ones in charge of this management), there are significant unknowns to
be revealed on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, specifically, the adoption of
common rules to determine the headquarters or nationality of those same
commercial companies. in mobility. This constitutes a pending task for both
the EU and Latin American integration initiatives such as MERCOSUR, so that
a calm study is required to find promising shared results that glimpse the
necessary reflective framework with respect to such a complex problem.Derecho Público y del Trabaj
Use of Electrospun Cellulose Acetate/Silica Composites as Multifunctional Ingredients in Eco-Friendly Semisolid Lubricant Formulations
Cellulose acetate/silica (CA/SIL) nanocomposites are prepared by electrospinning and investigated as multifunctional ingredients in eco-friendly semisolid lubricant formulations. The structuring ability of these electrospun composites in castor oil and the
antifriction and antiwear properties are examined through rheological and tribological experiments. The multifunctionality of
CA/SIL composites arises from a balance between the silica content and the formation of nanofiber-dominated structures. The
linear viscoelasticity functions in the oleo-dispersions increase by several orders of magnitude with both the spinning solution
concentration and the CA:SIL ratio. However, the rheological response primarily depends on the morphology of the nanofiber
mat obtained, specifically nanofiber diameter and the presence of beads. In contrast, the silica content significantly impacts the
tribological performance of the oleo-dispersions regardless of nanofiber morphology. For similar nanoarchitectures and rheological responses, the friction coefficient is reduced from 0.227 to 0.108 by incorporating silica in a 10:1 CA:SIL ratio, compared with
the SIL-free electrospun CA nanofibers, while wear is completely prevented. Increasing the composite concentration from 5 to
12.5wt. % enhances wear protection and the gel strength of oleo-dispersions, for example, the plateau modulus rises from 800 to
42,000Pa using a composite with a 10:1 CA:SIL ratioThis work was supported by Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades and ERDF/EU (PID2021-125637OB-I00).

Modelling Loans to Non‑Financial Corporations in the Eurozone: A Long‑Memory Approach
This paper uses fractional integration and cointegration methods to analyze
the long-run relationship between loans to non-financial corporations, real gross
domestic product, real gross fixed capital formation, the cost of borrowing differential
between long- and short-term rates, and a proxy for the cost of debt, securities, and
equity issuance. The analysis includes four Eurozone countries, namely Germany,
France, Italy, and Spain, and spans the most recent decades. More precisely, fractional
integration and cointegration models are estimated to investigate the persistence of
the series as well as their long-run relationships and short-run dynamics using both
unrestricted and restricted specifications. The univariate results are heterogeneous,
the highest degrees of integration being found in the case of loans to non-financial
corporations, whilst the multivariate ones provide evidence of a single fractional
cointegration vector as well as of a lower adjustment speed to the long-run equilibrium
compared to previous studies in all four countries. Moreover, both the short- and longrun
response of loans to exogenous shocks to real gross domestic product and the cost
of borrowing differentials differs across countries because of country-specific factorsOpen Access funding provided thanks to the CRUE-CSIC agreement with Springer NatureCiencias de la Tierr
