Fiscalização de obras públicas com uso de tecnologias digitais: câmeras 360º
No full textConstruction site supervision and monitoring are essential activities in the construction industry. The most common inspection and control practices rely on individual observations and manual data collection, making them susceptible to human error. Studies highlight the potential of image-based digital technologies as alternatives that enable more agile, effective, and transparent monitoring of construction sites. However, public building construction inspections still lack the application of these technologies, despite frequent reports of irregularities by regulatory bodies. This study proposes a method for integrating 360° cameras into public building construction inspection processes. The research employed the Design Science Research methodology, beginning with a literature review, followed by interviews with construction inspectors. Empirical studies were conducted at two public building construction sites in a small town in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, followed by an evaluation of the use of 360° cameras for construction inspection. In addition to the proposed method, the study identified benefits, technical and legal constraints, and monitorable parameters associated with the use of 360° images. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the impact of these technologies on the inspection of public building construcion, highlighting both the challenges and advantages of their implementation within the context of this investigation and potential generalisations by other public authorities.A fiscalização e o monitoramento de obras são atividades essenciais na indústria da construção. As práticas mais comuns de fiscalização e controle baseiam-se em observações individuais e na coleta manual de dados, tornando-as suscetíveis a erros humanos. Estudos destacam o potencial das tecnologias digitais baseadas em imagens como alternativas que permitem um monitoramento mais ágil, eficaz e transparente dos canteiros de obras. No entanto, a fiscalização de obras públicas ainda carece da aplicação dessas tecnologias, apesar dos frequentes relatos de irregularidades por parte dos órgãos de controle. Este estudo propõe um método para integrar câmeras 360° aos processos de fiscalização de obras públicas. A pesquisa utilizou a metodologia Design Science Research, iniciando com a revisão da literatura, seguida de entrevistas com fiscais de obras. Foram realizados estudos empíricos em dois canteiros de obras em um município de pequeno porte no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, seguidos da avaliação do uso de câmeras 360° para a fiscalização. Além do método proposto, o estudo identificou benefícios, restrições técnicas e legais e parâmetros passíveis de monitoramento associados ao uso de imagens 360°. Os resultados contribuem para uma melhor compreensão do impacto dessas tecnologias na fiscalização de obras públicas, destacando tanto os desafios quanto as vantagens de sua implementação no contexto dos casos estudados e suas possíveis generalizações por outros órgãos públicos.
A Systematic Literature Review of Autonomous Line-Following Robots using Reinforcement Learning

Line-following robots are mobile robots which have become a growing topic of research, as they serve as a platform for understanding complex concepts, such as control, which makes them suitable for the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI). There are competitions around the world focused on this kind of robots. Accurate mathematical modeling of line-following robots and the environment in which they will be used can be difficult. Reinforcement learning is an AI technique that deals precisely with creating model-free algorithms, which are suitable for this application. This review article aimed to look for articles on line-following robots using reinforcement learning in order to analyze the state of the art of this branch of artificial intelligence in robotics
Quem pode ser historiador? Reflexões sobre a memória e os cânones da História da Historiografia Brasileira
No full textThis paper focuses on the dimensions of gender that permeate the construction of a memory on the History of Brazilian Historiography in order to observe how the set of references that formed the discipline was, and still is, mostly male-oriented. At first, I intend to analyze the main traits that accompanied the academic status of historical research in Brazil. Then, through the passage over some of the manuals and introductory books, I will try to show that the construction of these sets of references mobilizes a universe of authors, predominantly men, who are shared and legitimized among themselves. Finally, I propose an observation of some recent contributions from the field to identify how, even today, this movement is recycled and mirrored. The hypothesis is that the permanent construction of the historiographical imaginary and its canons continues to be oriented on this form, which is symptomatically masculine, acting on a precise idea of who can be a historian and speak through a historiographical discourse.Este artigo se debruça sobre as dimensões de gênero que atravessam a construção de uma memória sobre a história da historiografia brasileira a fim observar como o conjunto de referências que compôs a disciplina esteve, e ainda está, majoritariamente orientado pelo masculino. Em um primeiro momento, pretendo analisar os principais traços que acompanharam o status acadêmico da pesquisa histórica no Brasil. Em seguida, por meio da passagem sobre alguns dos manuais e livros introdutórios, buscarei mostrar que a construção desses conjuntos de referências mobiliza um universo de autores, predominantemente homens, que são, entre si, compartilhados e legitimados. Por fim, proponho uma observação de algumas recentes contribuições do campo para identificar como, ainda hoje, esse movimento é reciclado e espelhado. A hipótese é que a permanente construção do imaginário historiográfico e seus cânones continua a se orientar sobre essa forma sintomaticamente masculina, atuando sobre uma ideia precisa de quem pode ser historiador(a) e falar por meio de um discurso historiográfico
