    No full text
The heroon of Poseidonia represents a monument particularly linked to the memory of Dinu Theodorescu: discovered by P.C. Sestieri in 1954, the building was correctly interpreted only thanks to the research that Dinu, in collaboration with Emanuele Greco, conducted in the 1970s in Paestum with the Italian-French mission. These investigations were very significant for the correct interpretation of the monument, identified as a herôon, and for the restitution of the topographical context of the agora within the urban layout of the Greek city. The careful drawings of the building structures and the study of the architectural remains that lie in the surrounding space, allowed Dinu to put forward some hypotheses on the restitution of the monument which, in his opinion, was covered by a mound and also equipped with an altar: the archaeological investigations carried out in 2018 in the area in which the altar was hypothesized, while not allowing to confirm its existence, made it possible to collect clues that corroborate the hypothesis of the mound and revealed a complex stratigraphic situation that would require further insights. Starting from the results of recent explorations, the new hypotheses, unresolved problems and prospects for future research are exposed

“Time out of Time: Transworld Identity and the Collapse of Ontological Boundaries in The Accidental by Ali Smith”

    No full text
This article looks at Ali Smith’s The Accidental as a novel in which pastiche and mashups of content create a kind of cross media storytelling that pushes the ontological boundaries of narrative. At the centre of the novel is Amber, a mysterious visitor introduced here as a transworld identity who weaves the novel’s plot by using contents and knowledge belonging to extradiegetic worlds and their timelines. Thus, she is in a position to interact with the other characters as if they were metareferential elements of the story and change their fate. By using Amber as a literary device which oscillates between different temporalities, Smith also explores how language mediates contemporary subjectivity, which is divided into a variety of fictional realities

Dipingere i silenzi e « disegnare con parole » (Boezio, Cons. Fil., III, I).

    No full text

    No full text
This contribution proposes an analysis of the political language of Jair Bolsonaro, the current Brazialian president. Starting from the diamesic dichotomy between written-written and spoken-spoken (Nencioni, 1976) and considering the scheduled interviews (interactions via videocall) and the questions of journalists in the public interventions of the Brazilian president (face-to-face interactions), it is possible to observe how, in cases like those here mentioned, the medium does not influence communication, only allow-ing a distinction between planned and unplanned communication. Furthermore, in line with the scientific research on conversation analysis, an analysis of the dialogue between Brazilian politicians and journalists is proposed as a form of unequal communication: in all cases, the asymmetry of social positions between the speaker and his interviewers is eviden
