Learning Objectives: Attendees of this presentation will learn about two tools that can revolutionize the field of forensic odontology: the Anatomage Table and
the Metaverse. Through the Anatomage Table, attendees will discover a hands-on approach to anatomical study, enabling precise manipulation and analysis of
3D anatomical structures for virtual dental autopsies. Additionally, attendees will explore the innovative use of the Metaverse, a new technology leveraging
virtual reality to enhance odontology education through scanned 3D jaws. By integrating these tools, attendees will gain insights on how technology can improve
forensic odontology practices and educational strategies, offering a dynamic and immersive learning experience for future professionals in the field.
Impact Statement: This presentation will impact the forensic science community by introducing the utilization of the Anatomage Table for virtual dental
autopsies and the Metaverse for immersive odontology education, which signifies a shift toward more efficient and accurate forensic identification processes.
Through the integration of these technologies, we not only enhance the skills and knowledge of current professionals but also pave the way for a new generation
of aspiring forensic odontologists to experience dynamic and interactive learning.
Abstract Text: This presentation introduces two cutting-edge tools transforming the landscape of forensic odontology: the Anatomage Table and the Metaverse.
The Anatomage Table offers a hands-on approach to anatomical study with its user-friendly interface and interactive features on an 83-inch touchscreen,
facilitating precise manipulation and analysis of 3D anatomical structures based on reconstructions from TC scans.

 It is proposed for conducting virtual dental
autopsies, enabling the extraction of crucial dental data through virdentopsy examinations.4,5
 This process leads to the development of comprehensive biological
profiles and portrait images of deceased individuals.
Methods: A relatively new technology, the Metaverse, presents a revolutionary and complimentary method for odontology education, leveraging scanned 3D
jaws and virtual reality to enhance the training of odontologists.6-8
 This immersive virtual environment allows users to delve deep into the nuances of dental
autopsies within a collaborative digital space. Through the integration of these innovative technologies, we aim to improve and innovate forensic odontology
practices and educational strategies.9
Results: By combining the Anatomage Table’s capabilities for interactive dental autopsy analysis with the Metaverse’s remote collaborative odontology training,
we propose a holistic approach to leveraging technology in the field.
Conclusion. These tools not only enhance the efficiency and accuracy of forensic identification processes but also revolutionize the way odontology education
is delivered, offering a dynamic and immersive learning experience for aspiring professionals in the field.
