Neurophysiological evidence of motor contribution to vicarious affective touch
Understanding observed interpersonal touch, particularly the so-called affective touch targeting the CT fibers, is essential for social interactions. Research has documented that observing other people being touched activates the same cortical areas involved in direct tactile experiences. However, observing interpersonal touch also activates an inner simulation of the movements in the observer's motor system. Given the social and affective significance of CT-optimal touch, the present study tested the hypothesis that observing stroking touches targeting or not targeting the CT fibers system might distinctly influence motor resonance to vicarious touch. With this aim, we used single-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation and motor-evoked potentials recording while participants observed video clips of interpersonal touch events at different stroking velocities. We found a modulation of motor system activity, particularly a decrease in corticospinal excitability, when observing CT-optimal touch as opposed to non-CT-optimal velocities, a mechanism that might aid in understanding the touchee's feelings during vicarious interpersonal touch. Moreover, participants with higher reliance on bodily cues to be emotionally aware showed greater motor suppression for CT-optimal compared to non-CT-optimal velocities. These results shed light on the complex interplay between motor and somatosensory systems in social touch perception and emphasize the importance of affective touch in human social interactions
A Brief Online Intervention Based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy for a Reduction in Binge-Eating Symptoms and Eating Pathology
Dysregulated eating behaviors, comprising subthreshold and clinical binge-eating disorder (BED) and bulimia nervosa (BN), are increasing among the general population, with a consequent negative impact on one’s health and well-being. Despite the severity of these outcomes, people with BED and BN often face a delay in receiving a diagnosis or treatment, often due to difficulties in accessing care. Hence, evidence-based and sustainable interventions for eating symptomatology are needed. The present study aims to assess the effectiveness of a web-based 10-session multidisciplinary group intervention based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for BED and BN, aimed at reducing psychological distress and binge-eating-related symptomatology in a sample of patients with dysregulated eating behaviors and including one session of nutritional therapeutic education. A total of 65 participants (84.6% F; age M = 38.5 ± 13.2; experimental group, N = 43; treatment-as-usual group, TAU, N = 22) took part in the study. The results show, after the 9 weekly sessions, a significant reduction in binge-eating-related symptomatology and general psychopathology and an increased self-esteem and eating self-efficacy in social contexts in the experimental group compared to the treatment-as-usual group (T0 vs. T1). Improvements in the experimental group were significantly maintained after one month from the end of the intervention (T2) in terms of binge-eating symptoms, general psychopathology, and eating self-efficacy in social contexts. This study supports the effectiveness of a brief web-based multidisciplinary group intervention in reducing eating symptomatology and psychological distress and enhancing self-esteem and eating self-efficacy in a group of people with dysregulated eating behaviors. Brief web-based interventions could represent an accessible and sustainable resource to address binge-eating-related symptomatology in public clinical settings
Organizzare l'azienda sanitaria di latina alla luce del Dm 77: analisi ed esperienze
Negli ultimi anni, il contesto sanitario
italiano è soggetto a profondi cambiamenti
e trasformazioni, determinati
sia dall’evoluzione delle esigenze della
popolazione, sia dalle sfide imposte
dalla pandemia, che hanno accelerato
l’adozione di innovazioni tecnologiche.
In particolare, le Aziende Sanitarie
Locali (ASL) sono chiamate a
rimodulare e ridefinire i modelli organizzativi
di Assistenza Territoriale.
Questi cambiamenti hanno un impatto
sui diversi elementi del contesto
sanitario italiano, anche rispetto alle
comunità di professionisti, che si
devono interrogare sui nuovi ruoli e
sulle nuove opportunità di servizio
rispetto ai bisogni dei pazienti. In linea con le indicazioni ministeriali,
DGR n. 643 del 2022, è stato approvato
il documento denominato “Linee
Guida generali di programmazione
degli interventi di riordino territoriale
della Regione Lazio in applicazione
delle attività previste dal Piano Nazionale
di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR)...”,
che si inserisce nel quadro delle azioni
di transizione digitale previsti dalla
Missione 6 Salute.
Laziale, sono state sviluppate
alcune considerazioni sia di sistema
sia operative, tutte finalizzate all’evidenziazione

This research is grafted within the theoretical paradigm that interprets theatre, a performance art par excellence, as didactics and, at the same time, didactics as theatre. In this condition, the teacher's performance sees the integration of body and action, thus allowing the event to be co-constructed thanks to the co-presence of students sharing the same didactic space. In the present research, the construct will also be extended to online didactics where possible, starting with an interdisciplinary theoretical reflection and a systematic literature review. Therefore, empirical research will be undertaken relating to the Multiphase Mixed Methods by introducing a questionnaire - Teaching Performative Scale - validated by construct and content and conducting a series of in-depth interviews with the aim of investigating the performative elements acted out by the teacher. Covering a field little explored in didactics and launching a proposal around the introduction of an explicit performative competence, there is promoted the idea of integrating this competence in the teacher's training practice in order to support him/her in the scenic and dramaturgical elements linked to the didactic scene in presence, as well as at a distance
Assessment of Performance in Youth Soccer Players: Should We Consider the Maturation Status?
The influence of biological maturity status on talent identification and development in youth soccer has been
debated extensively. Alternative methods have thus recently emerged to estimate maturity status, such as the Pubertal
Development Scale (PDS), but their relationship with physical capabilities of young soccer players still needs to be
determined. The present study investigated the relationships of different PDS-derived pubertal status measures,
chronological age, and relative age with selected performance variables in youth soccer. Sixty-one male soccer players
were assessed for physical capabilities using field tests for sprinting, vertical jumps (countermovement jump, CMJ),
intermittent high-intensity endurance, and repeated sprint ability. Chronological age was defined as the number of days
since birth, and relative age was defined in terms of age quarters. PDS-derived measures of puberal status, otherwise,
were determined as an average PDS score, a PDS category score, and a pubertal category. Chronological age, relative age,
and measures of pubertal status were scarcely related (p > 0.05) to selected measures of soccer performance. Significant
correlations were only found between different measures of pubertal status and the variable "work" in the CMJ test (range
r = 0.33–0.36; p < 0.01) and between chronological age and CMJ height (r = −0.297; p = 0.02). The present results suggest
that physical performance of young soccer players is poorly related to chronological age, relative age, and pubertal status.
Potential effects of biological maturity status on physical capabilities may not be easily identifiable in a group of young
soccer players narrowed in terms of chronological age and training status
