VISUAL ASSEMBLAGES, ECOLOGICAL SUBJECTIVITIES AND VERNACULAR FORMS OF RESISTANCE: TIKTOK’S GREEN VIDEOS
In a everyday marked by the Anthropocene and the permanence of mobile technologies, this
study investigates the question of whether and how audiovisual short-narratives can articulate
different forms of resistance to the climatic crisis and to the performative logic of digital culture.
The object of analysis is a specific form of storytelling emerging on TikTok: the Green Cinematic
Vlogs (GCVs), short videos produced by Gen Z users that combine the visual codes of the cine-
matic trend with aesthetics, sonorities and temporalities referable to ecocinema. The analysis is
based on a visual qualitative approach applied to a selected corpus of GCVs published on TikTok
between 2024 and 2025, chosen for their aesthetic and affective relevance in the field of ecological
perception. The theoretical perspective is articulated from three points: the assemblage theory,
that allows to interpret these contents as dynamic configurations in which human subjects, land-
scapes, mobile devices, algorithms and affects co-produce forms of ecological awareness; John
Dewey’s aesthetics of experience, suggesting that these vlogs generate perceptual intensifications
in the situated relationship between body and environment and, finally, the Deleuzian conception
of art as resistance, which helps in reading these videos as micropolitical acts that disarticulate
the dominant regimes of visibility. The essay illustrates how these videos do not merely represent
generational eco-anxiety, but they reconfigure it into affective and perceptual practices of sensi-
tive co-existence with the environment. These contents translate consciousness of environmental
collapse into a sensitive practice of co-existence with the landscape. Through aesthetics of slow-
ness, attention to the minimal gesture and atmospheric modulations, these GCVs activate minor
ecologies of perception that stand in friction with the accelerative, spectacular and performative
logics of mobile culture
RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS ON SANDS UNDER WORKING LOADS
This paper aims at estimating from a probabilistic point of view the level of safety with respect to Serviceability Limit States (SLSs) of shallow foundations on coarse-grained soils by means of the First Order Reliability Method (FORM). The analysis, of parametric type, deals with two calculation methods well adopted in current practice to estimate the settlements expected under working loads. The overall results obtained show that there are the prerequisites for the adoption, in the Technical Regulations in force in Italy, of alternative approaches (i.e. of a probabilistic type) to those currently envisaged
Measurement of the production cross section of prompt baryons in p–Pb collisions at TeV
The transverse momentum (pT) differential production cross section of the promptly produced charm-strange baryon Ξc0 (and its charge conjugate Ξc0 ̄) is measured at midrapidity via its hadronic decay into π+Ξ- in p–Pb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon–nucleon collision sNN=5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The Ξc0 nuclear modification factor (RpPb), calculated from the cross sections in pp and p–Pb collisions, is presented and compared with the RpPb of Λc+ baryons. The ratios between the pT-differential production cross section of Ξc0 baryons and those of D0 mesons and Λc+ baryons are also reported and compared with results at forward and backward rapidity from the LHCb Collaboration. The measurements of the production cross section of prompt Ξc0 baryons are compared with a model based on perturbative QCD calculations of charm-quark production cross sections, which includes only cold nuclear matter effects in p–Pb collisions, and underestimates the measurement by a factor of about 50. This discrepancy is reduced when the data is compared with a model that includes string formation beyond leading-colour approximation or in which hadronisation is implemented via quark coalescence. The pT-integrated cross section of prompt Ξc0-baryon production at midrapidity extrapolated down to pT = 0 is also reported. These measurements offer insights and constraints for theoretical calculations of the hadronisation process. Additionally, they provide inputs for the calculation of the charm production cross section in p–Pb collisions at midrapidity
Saggezza e prudenza. Razionalismo ed escatologia nella filosofia morale di Leibniz
"Wisdom" and "prudence" are two classical concepts of philosophical ethics. Leibniz's interpretation of their meaning is not only original but able to introduce us to the problematic concept of "Love for the others", which Leibniz takes from Christian ethics but tries to make univesrsal and rationa
Effectiveness and Safety of Orodispersible Budesonide for Eosinophilic Esophagitis: A Multicenter Real-World Study
Background & aims: Topical corticosteroids represent one of the effective first-line treatment options for eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), and therapy with budesonide orodispersible tablets (BOTs) has been recently approved for the treatment of EoE and showed great efficacy in randomized-controlled clinical trials, however real-life data are lacking. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment with BOTs in adult EoE patients in a real-life setting. Methods: In this prospective study, clinical, histologic, endoscopic, and safety measures were assessed. Patients underwent evaluation after the induction period (12 weeks) and up 1 year of treatment with BOTs. Dysphagia Symptom Questionnaires were used for symptoms; the Adult Eosinophilic Esophagitis Quality of Life questionnaire for quality of life; the Endoscopic Reference Score for endoscopic activity; eosinophilic peaks (eosinophils per high-power field) for histologic activity. Results: A total of 233 patients were enrolled and 203 completed the assessments after 12 weeks. Deep histological remission was achieved by 84% of patients, as well as clinical remission, associated with an improvement in quality of life. Eighty-six patients concluded 1 year of treatment, and 78% were still in deep remission, while 15% experienced a loss of histological response at treatment tapering. Primary nonresponders were 8%, and secondary nonresponders were 3%. No serious adverse effects were recorded. Only mild side effects related to drug assumption were reported by 28 (12%) of 233 patients, and the most common were oral symptoms. Conclusions: Our real-world data confirm that BOTs are effective in inducing clinical and histologic remission in most EoE patients. The drug has a good safety profile, with side effects occurring only in a small number of patients
Humane Entrepreneurial Orientation: Strategic Posture and Performance Implications Across Italian Firms
