Formulasi dan Uji Sifat Fisik Sediaan Lulur Krim dari Ekstrak Etanol Daun Sirsak (Annona muricata L.) serta Penentuan Aktivitas Antioksidannya
The ethanolic extract of soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) is reported as an antioxidant agent with an IC50 value of 14.48 µg/mL. This research aimed to examine physical characteristics and investigate the antioxidant activity of the ethanolic extract of soursop leaves in a scrub cream. Soursop leaves powder was extracted with 70% ethanol and formulated as scrub cream at the concentration of 1.4%, 2.8%, and 4.2%, then evaluated for physical characteristics. The antioxidant activity was
evaluated using DPPH (1.1-diphenyl-2 picrylhydrazyl) method. The result showed that the scrub cream at all concentrations tested fulfilled all physical characteristics required for good topical preparations. These included organoleptic, homogeneity, viscosity,
pH, spreadability, and adhesion. The IC50 value of the scrub cream at the concentration of 1.4%, 2.8 %, and 4.2% were 30.72, 26.82, and 24.03 µg/mL, respectively. The IC50 values indicated that the scrub creams exhibit radical scavenging activities which categorized as strong activity antioxidants
Influence of Brown Seaweed (Turbinaria murayana) in Optimizing Performance and Carcass Quality Characteristics in Broiler Chickens
This study aimed to determine the influence of ration supplementation with brown seaweed (Turbinaria
murayana) on performance, carcass quality, physiological organs, liver fat and broiler liver cholesterol. This study used
100 DOC (day old chicken) broilers of Arbor Acres CP 707 strains. This study used a completely randomized design
(CRD) with five treatments; each treatment was repeated four times. The treatments were presented as brown seaweed
(Turbinaria murayana), by a rate of 0, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10% in broiler ration. Data were analyzed using Analysis
of Variance (ANOVA), and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test to reveal the significant differences between different
treatments applied. The results showed that the use of Turbinaria murayana up to the level of 10% in the ration
can maintain performance, carcass quality, do not interfere with physiological organs, and can reduce the content of
abdominal fat, liver fat and broiler liver cholesterol. The study concluded that the use of Turbinaria murayana as a
rations supplemental material up to the 10% level can stimulate broilers’ performance and carcass characteristics
The Processing Effects of Anthocyanins Extracted from Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) Peel on Total Amount of Anthocyanins and SEM Image in Poultry Nutrition
The purpose of present study was to know the effects of different processing of anthocyanin content and scan electron
microscope image of anthocyanin of dragon fruit peel in poultry diet. The experiment was performed in a completely
randomized design with different processing like untreated dragon fruit peel or control, physical, chemical,
biological, and physical-biological, and each treatment was replicated 4 times. Variables measured were total amount
of anthocyanin and anthocyanin image of dragon fruit peel. The results indicated that physical treatment significantly
increased anthocyanin content of dragon fruit peel. Furthermore, treated dragon fruit peel with chemical, biological,
and combination of physical-biological significantly reduced anthocyanin content. The image of anthocyanin from
each treated processing revealed that control image was similar to physical treatment, and it was different from other
treatments. The physical treatment was the best method to increase anthocyanin content, and did not change the
image of anthocyanin from dragon fruit peel
Ergonomics Evaluation of Manual Material Handling Activities in the Section of Feeding Laying Hens at Poultry Farm
This study aimed to evaluate the activity of feeding laying hens at poultry farm.
Observations were made of all workers in charge of providing animal feed totaling 13 workers.
The work observed was the process of loading animal feed on baskets until the final distribution.
The evaluation was based on the results of the Nordic Body Map questionnaire, physiological
workload measurements, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) lifting
calculations. The worker's physiological workload was taken into account, and it revealed that
there has been an increase in work pulse rate obtained Cardiovascular Load (%CVL) is in the
range of 58% -72% and the energy consumption of workers ranges from 4.10-6.59 Kcal/minute.
Thus, physiologically the work activities carried out by the feeding workers are categorized as
moderate work, and it is necessary to improve the work activities. Meanwhile, evaluation using
the Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) and Lifting Index (LI) in the process of animal feed
showed RWL values ranged from 8.61 kg-10.19 kg, and LI values ranged from 1.87 to 2.50.
This number is beyond the limit for manual lifting

Minangkabau Historical Traces in the Novel Negeri Perempuan by Wisran Hadi
Politics can hide part of the history of civilization, but literature is unable to silence it. Literature can be a fertile field that fosters history that is drowned out by a tyranny. The power of oral literature in local communities helped confirm the ‘diamond light’ of the history of a community’s civilization. The sensitivity of the author is needed to record and publish the history that is folded by the tyranny. The next generation of Indonesian people needs to know the folded history. The role of literature becomes important in the inheritance of knowledge about the history of Indonesia’s civilization past. One of the unpublished histories of Indonesian civilization is related to the kingdom of Pagaruyung in Minangkabau. The novel of Negeri Perempuan written by Wisran Hadi has offered a way to understand the Minangkabau history of the past on the map of civilization in the archipelago. The problem is, how do we understand literary works so that the historical fold of the Minangkabau ethnic civilization becomes reasonable and should be understood by all generations in West Sumatra, and in Indonesia in general, even in the world. Literary studies that have a perspective on perspective will be able to provide answers. This article discusses the Minangkabau historical fold in the novel of Negeri Perempuan
