Quasi-Polynomial Extensions of Nonsymmetric Macdonald-Koornwinder Polynomials

    No full text
In a recent joint paper with S. Sahi and V. Venkateswaran (2025), families of actions of the double affine Hecke algebra on spaces of quasi-polynomials were introduced. These so-called quasi-polynomial representations led to the introduction of quasi-polynomial extensions of the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials, which reduce to metaplectic Iwahori-Whittaker functions in the -adic limit. In this paper, these quasi-polynomial representations are extended to Sahi's 5-parameter double affine Hecke algebra, and the quasi-polynomial extensions of the nonsymmetric Koornwinder polynomials are introduced.I thank Siddhartha Sahi and Vidya Venkateswaran for several interesting discussions about the topic of the paper. I also thank the referees for their thoughtful comments

The article substantiates the strategic importance of the process of integrating the automobile segment of the freight market into the single European transport space in the recovery of the Ukrainian economy. A quantitative analysis of global, European and domestic freight transportation, including road transport, is provided. Key trends in the development of the international and, in particular, the European freight market are identified, which include the growth of demand for “green transport” and transparent environmental standards, intensive digitalization and automation, the transition to multimodality, as well as more stringent regulatory requirements and challenges in terms of staffing. A list of barriers to the integration process is provided, including Ukraine’s internal problems, such as the need to modernize infrastructure, imperfect legal and institutional capacity, competition in the market, as well as difficulties with compliance with regulatory requirements and interinstitutional coordination. On the EU side, the main barriers are infrastructure, regulatory, investment challenges and environmental sustainability issues. A set of measures has been formed to overcome barriers in the process of integrating Ukrainian road freight transport into the EU single transport space. In particular, it is important for Ukraine to finance infrastructure modernization, adapt legislation to European standards, stimulate competition, support small and medium-sized enterprises, ensure monitoring of regulations and strengthen inter-institutional coordination. On the EU side, important measures are joint cross-border infrastructure projects, harmonization of standards, conclusion of agreements to simplify customs and border procedures, attraction of investments through international funds, as well as the introduction of environmental standards and incentives for “green” transport

Integrable Twelve-Component Nonlinear Dynamical System on a Quasi-One-Dimensional Lattice

    No full text
Bearing in mind the potential physical applicability of multicomponent completely integrable nonlinear dynamical models on quasi-one-dimensional lattices, we have developed the novel twelve-component and six-component semi-discrete nonlinear integrable systems in the framework of the semi-discrete Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur scheme. The set of lowest local conservation laws found by the generalized direct recurrent technique was shown to be an indispensable constructive tool in the reduction procedure from the prototype to actual field variables. Two types of admissible symmetries for the twelve-component system and one type of symmetry for the six-component system have been established. The mathematical structure of the total local current was shown to support the charge transportation only by four of six subsystems incorporated into the twelve-component system under study. The twelve-component system is able to model the actions of external parametric drive and external uniform magnetic field via time dependencies and phase factors of coupling parameters.Oleksiy O. Digitalization of work and transformation of professions: challenges for sustainable development

    No full text
In the context of digital transformation, the global economy is facing unprecedented changes in the field of labor. The digitization of labor and the transformation of professions is an ambivalent process that simultaneously opens up new opportunities and creates structural risks. Automation, platform employment, and flexible forms of work are transforming the professional structure and creating both new opportunities and risks. The digitalization of work is causing qualitative changes in the structure of employment. Professions based on routine tasks and low digital skills are disappearing—cashiers, archivists, dispatchers, telemarketers, call center operators. They are being replaced by automated systems, algorithms, and chatbots. On the other hand, the labor market is in dire need of specialists with competencies in IT, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital design, and digital project management. These professions are showing steady growth in demand even in conditions of economic instability. In this regard, it is reasonable to consider the dynamics of the growth in the number of freelancers in Ukraine and Azerbaijan until 2025. The labor market is changing rapidly: routine professions are disappearing, new forms of employment are emerging, and competition for digital skills is intensifying. These processes require flexible and responsible policies aimed at reducing digital inequality, developing 21st-century skills, and adapting legislation to the realities of the digital economy. Thus, only a human-centered approach to the digitalization of labor, where priority is given to social sustainability, inclusiveness, and accessibility, can ensure not only increased efficiency but also real sustainable development. The article analyzes key trends in the digitalization of labor, changes in the job market, and the social consequences of these processes. Particular attention is paid to a comparative analysis of the situation in Azerbaijan and Ukraine

Transformations of Public Memory in Berdiansk after 2014

    No full text
Berdiansk is a Ukrainian city on the Azov Sea shore in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. With almost 200 years of colonial history, this city currently living under Russian occupation is an excellent fit for analysing the memory transformation process in the communities of southeastern Ukraine. This paper examines the memory politics background in the southeast of Ukraine as exemplified by the changes in symbolism across Berdiansk's city space on the back of post- Maidan politics. It brings to light the context of the artificial political divide of the 2000s-2010s that grew due to Ukrainian presidents' campaigns that polarized Ukrainian society and shows how the political forces of Ukraine, affected by Russian aggressive foreign policies, manipulated the historical differences to juxtapose southeastern Ukraine to the other part of the country. The paper connects this context with the partial success of Russia in the hybrid invasion of 2014 and analyzes the response of the local communities to the decisions made during the period of political uncertainty in the region. Reconstructing the process Decomunization Laws implementations in Berdiansk, this paper demonstrates that memory coded in the toponyms, memorials and commemoration rituals be- came the epicenter of political struggle in the city. It refers to several cases of renaming of the streets, replacing the Soviet memorials (monuments to Vladimir Lenin, Felix Dzerzhinsky and others) with the themes and images of Ukrainian national history after 2014. Changes that took place year-over-year in the commemorational events on the 8th and 9th of May chosen as an example of difficulties that followed the transformational processes on the level of the public remembrance practices. An important place is drawn for the Working Group headed by Research Institute of Urban History that tried to securitize the city from ideological threats of Russian hybrid invasion, using different methods to influence public opinion on the matter of Russian and Soviet heritage in the public space of the city of Beridansk. In addition, paper describes the transformation of memory sites under occupation and imagines potential commemoration frameworks for the liberated Berdiansk. The author discusses the replacement of the vertical type of decision-making in the field of Memory Politics with practices attentive to the historical diversity of southeastern Ukraine and Berdiansk in particular. Also, it considers the danger of massive destruction of the city's heritage during possible military operations and develops the approach based not only on the memory of human experiences but on the memorializa tion of the environmental catastrophes caused by Russia. The considerations for symbolical transformations in Berdiansk draw on the Content Analysis method. Some data comes from the interview with the Research Institute of Urban History Director, Prof. Victoria Konstantinovna, who helped implement decommunisation laws. While analysing the relations between Ukrainian memory politics and Russian colonial policy, the author used de/postcolonial optics. The paper draws on the results of an individual research project prepared within the Invisible University for Ukraine program of the Central European University with the support of the University of Jena and DAAD
