The project's goal was to interview residents of the Sakura Kai Senior Center in El Cerrito, CA. The interviews were recorded from 2005 to 2009. The Sakura Kai Senior Center interviews were donated to the National Japanese American Historical Society, Inc., by Marjorie Fujioka. Many of the interviewees were associated with the Japanese American nursery businesses in Costra Costa County
