Framed map designed using a stereographic projection by the German cartographer Johann Matthias Hase and published by Homann Heirs (Homännische Erben). The hand-colored sections on this map depict the political divisions of mid-18th century Europe, including the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Holy Roman Empire, and Ottoman-controlled territories in the Balkans.
Includes a French title in the upper margin: L’EUROPE, dessinée suivant les règles les plus précises d’une nouvelle Projection stéréographique, tirée des observations et des relations les plus modernes, et appuyée en divers endroits par des monumens antiques..
