NCAS CDAO Sky-Camera Time-Lapse Video for 2008-10-05 11:00 UTC (showing Cumulus humilis clouds, which are also known as fair weather cumulus).
A time-lapse video showing Cumulus humilis clouds, which are also known as fair weather cumulus. This video has been created from images taken by the Sky-Camera at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) Capel Dewi Atmospheric Observatory (CDAO) near Aberystwyth, UK - formerly known as the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Mesosphere-Stratosphere-Troposphere (MST) Radar Facility. The images are freely available under a UK Open Government Licence from http://tinyurl.com/nerc-mstrf-sky-camera/ . For more details visit http://mst.nerc.ac.uk
RAL IASI MetOp-A TIR Methane Dataset v2.0 Product User Guide
This document is the Product User Guide for the RAL IASI MetOp-A TIR methane v2.0 dataset. It provides users of the dataset with practical information on the file format and content as well as advice on how to correctly interpret the data
FIDUCEO project: Scientific Basis of FIDUCEO FCDRs
This report contains highlights of the scientific developments made during FIDUCEO that form the basis of the new Fundamental Climate Data Records (FCDRs) produced by the projec

EUSTACE Product User Guide and quick start guide, version 1.0
This Product User Guide (PUG) is meant as a practical guide for the data products of the EUSTACE (EU Surface Temperature for All Corners of Earth) project and to facilitate (potential) users in their exploitation of the EUSTACE datasets
FIDUCEO project: Product User Guide – Ensemble Sea and Lake Surface Temperature
This document describes the Ensemble Sea and Lake Surface Temperature(ST) climate data record (CDR) created by the FIDUCEO project in August 2019 with version designation v0.20. The released data record is based on the MetOp-A Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR)“easy” FCDR (fundamentalCDR) version 1.0, with additional ST optimisation of the brightness temperature calibration coefficients. The ST CDR is a gridded dataset (level 3 uncollated) at 0.05°latitude-longitude resolution. This product user guide gives: 1. An overview of the specifications of the ST CDR; 2. A high-level description of the implementation of the retrieval processing chain; 3. Information on limitations of this current version of the data record; 4. Technical details on the format and on how to access the dat
FIDUCEO project: Report on AVHRR aerosol demonstration dataset
This document forms the deliverable D5.8 to report on the climate data record (CDR) over Europe and North Africa of aerosol optical depth (AOD) as retrieved from the AVHRR fundamental climate data record (FCDR) using a simple dark field Algorithm [RD 4]. The primary object of this data record is to assess and demonstrate how the sophisticated uncertainty information contained in the AVHRR easy FCDR dataset be propagated through a retrieval algorithm
NCAS CDAO Sky-Camera Time-Lapse Video for 2007-10-04 05:30 UTC (showing Cumulus mediocris clouds).
A time-lapse video showing Cumulus mediocris clouds (with occasional Cirrus clouds and contrails at a higher level). The Cumulus clouds are in a continuous state of change. Many can be seen to form and/or to evaporate within the field of view. The evaporating clouds give rise to ragged Cumulus fractus formations.
