On back: "There are two temples in the town of Noumea this one and one Catholic one. We have services in this temple by our army chaplains, besides the French services. I still have & use the little testament. I also have an edition of a pocket Bible which is written without the verse and chapter numbers and is quite readable. It includes practically all the Books of the old and New testaments. – the Psalms are in verse form……. Also, I have been receiving the small books from the 1st Pbsyt. Church. Ask them to keep them coming, please. Herbert" Found on page 3, Scrapbook 2.There are two temples in the town of Noumea this one and one Catholic one. They are exactly as they are in pictures. And Japan is very modern to a great extent. Love Mary Alyce" Found on page 23, Scrapbook 2.Dear Miss Spilman Having a wonderful time touring this city - which is supposed to be a very religious one. they have the most wonderfully constructed and oriental shrines here - I'm sure you would enjoy them immensely.
