CONTINENTAL DIVIDE
The Great Continental Divide extends from Alaska throughout he Western United States, Mexico, Central America and South America to Patagonia. From this "Divide" the water (streams) run definitely east or west. We cross this Highway "66" just about 115 miles west of Albuquerque and 30 miles east of Gallup, N. M. This spectacular view of the Red Rocks is from the village at the Divide."

This family was recently increased by 62 young birds which were hatched and are being reared in this flock. The scene illustrated shows adult birds and their mud and grass nests. Several eggs may be seen." [handwritten] "Dear Miss Spilman, I am setting in the stand at Hialeah Park. Its such a beautiful place. A large flock of Flamingos are in the lake just a little way out in front. Wish you could see it. Love, Bill" Postmarked December 26, 1942.
