Workships on Francis Farm
The Francis Farm, located at Johns Creek, was a working farm used by the college. It was later mined for coal and then sold. Students were able to work on the farm as a form of work study, and many spent the entire summer on the farm. The gentleman in the center is Dr. A. A. Augustus Sisk
On back: "Augustus Sisk 1407 W. Main St. Marion, Ill." This image of Augustus Sisk was sent to Pikeville College by Sisk when he was applying for a job at the school, around 1920. According to letters, he appears to have taken a job as the principal of Pikeville's prepatory department
