He was carillonneur of First-Plymouth Congregational Church (Lincoln, Nebraska), University of Kansas, Washington National Cathedral (Washington, DC), and University of California-Berkeley. He composed more than 50 original pieces for the carillon and is considered one of the most prolific composers of North American carillon music
