In 1948, Barnes studied carillon with Robert Donnell (1910-1986) at the Peace Tower, House of Parliament (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in 1950 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He earned a M. A. from Stanford University (Stanford, California, United States). He was an active member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America. Barnes also served as a consultant for carillon installations and wrote articles about various topics relating to carillons

He played the chime at Indiana University while a student there. He earned a Master of Music in organ performance while studying with Willis Bodine at the University of Florida (Gainesville, Florida, United States. He held a graduate assistantship in carillon while working toward a Ph. D. in Music Education at the University of Florida. He studied carillon with Stephen Knight at Samford University (Birmingham, Alabama, United States) and with Linda Dzuris at Clemson University (Clemson, South Carolina, United States). Cobb passed the advancement examination of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 2004. No full textRuth Muzzy Conniston was a carillonneur, organist, and pianist. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1915 from Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut, United States). She studied in Paris, France with the organist of Notre Dame Cathedral, Louis Vierne. She studied carillon with Percival Price (1901-1985) and Kamiel Lefevere (1888-1972). Conniston gave demonstrations for the Gillett and Johnston Bell Foundry (Croydon, England, Great Britain/see AACF – Foundry – Gillett and Johnston). She also taught and presented lectures. She was carillonneur at the Park Avenue Baptist Church (New York, New York, United States)

He became a carillonneur member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 1973. DellaPenna has composed music for the carillon. He worked as a salesman for the I. T.
