    News article: [Rededication of Carillon at Mostyn House School]

    Newspaper article on the rededication of the carillon at Mostyn House School which included a lecture by William Wooding Starmer and a performance by Mr. Antoon Nauwelaerts. The carillon was started in 1921 with 27 bells that were cast by the John Taylor Bell Foundry (Loughborough, England, Great Britain). In 1922, four bells cast by the John Taylor Bell Foundry were added to the carillon. In 1923, six more bells cast by the John Taylor Bell Foundry were added. Mostyn House School closed in 2010 and the carillon was moved to Charterhouse School (Godalming, England) in 2013

A full-length view of the steel framework of the tower and beginning stages of stonework being set. On the back is a handwritten letter, presumably from one of the constructions workers writing home to a female friend named Ruby. It reads: "I am sending picture of the tower. You can have an idia (sic) about how long it will be B-4 (sic) we compleat (sic) it. You can judge by how far we are up with the marble. We'll been on this marble work now it will be 4 mo - 26 day of Oct. Say sweet: I hear a good looking old boy round there some where (sic) has beat my time with you. That don't set well with me. [?] far the Dr says my veins are too clost (sic) togeather (sic). He told me to take a pill 3 times a day. You know I can't do that. I wish he had not mention (sic) that- Say Ruby, I am coming home Xmas and if I am man enough to beat that guy up, will you be willing to come back with me? If you don't want to or won't come you can see about how high a place it will be to jump off the tower. Your loving Bobo. W.G.G. [?]" On the front 'Oct. 13-27 Van Natta Studios.'
