Restoration on Terrace at Ca'd'Zan
No full textRestoration work being completed on the bay side terrace of Ca'd'Zan by Kvaerner Construction of Tampa. In 1999, the company won the "Craftsman of the Year Award" from the American Institute of Architects Florida Chapter, for their work on the building's stained glass windows and terra cotta doors and tiles. Restoration work began in 1997. Ca' d'Zan, also known as the John Ringling Mansion, is a Mediterranean revival home built in 1926 by John and Mable Ringling to serve as their winter residence. The Ringlings continued to visit the home until their deaths. The home was uninhabited from 1936 to 1946, but then was opened to the public as part of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art estate
